写作是书面表达和传递信息的重要途径,培养学生初步的写作的能力,是初中英语教学的目的之一。但是长期以来,中学英语写作教学一直徘徊于不理想的状态,尤其是在农村中学来讲更是不堪入目。平素测验中,不少学生只能写出寥寥数语,而且文章中拼写错误和其他语病随处可见,学生英语作文的质量不尽如人意。即使在有些学校所谓的实验班级效果也不是怎么理想。尽管在平素的教学评价环节中,我们花费大量的时间用于批改学生的作文,但是学生一次又一次的反馈给我们的并不是我们预期所料的,甚至是差之千里。如何解决这一难题,成为现阶段我们英语教学工作者面前的“拦路虎”。本文就这一问题作一些粗浅分析,力求找出了中学英语写作教学的瓶颈所在,结合教学实践,探索性的作一些关于中学英语写作教学的交流——“读、改、写”的实践。

七年的初中英语教学下来,留给我无穷的思考与困惑:不管在什么样的测试中,只要谈到英语写作,很多学生都感到头痛?即使有部分学生能动笔写写,其中的语法错误也是随处可见,写作要点不明确,语句不通顺,语言、词汇档次低,语言不地道或是汉语式的英语写作,让人看后很是费解。即使给材料作文学生也感到无从下手,在他们看来:翻译又是个问题,或是上面所说的汉语式的直接翻译出来。导致这些问题的缘由何在?是平时的教学没有到位,存在写作教学走过场?重视不够?还是学生根本就不是学英语的那块料?困惑,苦思、冥想!多方寻缘由。究其原因,我认为英语写作教学效果不理想主要问题出在平素的教学环节上。长期以来,我们很多英语教学者都重复着同一种模式:教师布置写作内容——学生完成作文——教师批阅作文——作文发还给学生。缺乏对学生的有效地针对性的指导,像那种简单而粗暴的评价方式,从根本上起不到什么作用。久而久之,还会使学生厌恶英语作文写作,甚至产生“写作恐惧症”,进而影响整个英语学习及考试效果!现我就英语写作教学的几点感悟与大家一起共勉。

一、读中不忘写,在阅读中适时穿插写作教学。

“读中教”指的是写作与阅读联系挂钩。因为单靠指导学生掌握写作要领进行写作,在实际的教学工作中是完全不够的,而当我们教学一篇篇阅读理解文章,才正是学生们学习写作的好时机,阅读理解也是我们教学写作的最有效武器,毕竟好文章是写作最好的老师和范例,更是我们教写作的法宝。因此,在每次学习和欣赏一篇阅读理解文章的时候,尤其是文中含有经典语句时,我都给学生设定四个目标:第一,理解作者写作的用意,即作者在文章中阐明了什么观点和段落的安排及其如何阐述的。第二,弄清作者运用了什么样的写作方法。比如是说明、记叙还是论证,包括文章运用的时态、语态以及其他种种语法手段。第三,学习作者的一些用词来扩大词汇量,积累词汇,同时让学生学习短语的搭配并收集词汇和短语。第四,收集作者在文章中写出的佳句、妙句、绝句。为今后的写作奠定基础。几年的教学实践证明了这样的教学有其独具的特色与效果

因此,我认为:写作教学完全应该,而且必须与阅读理解相结合才能真正让学生领悟和掌握写作方法与写作技巧的要领,没有阅读哪里来的模仿和借鉴?所以“读中教”是我的第一步,之后,在感性的基础上,我再给学生讲解具体的写作方法,这一点是我接下来要做的第二步“写中教”。

二、写作中不失恰如其分的指导,适时地开展“写中教”。

所谓“写中教”,就是在学生学作时给予写作方法的指导,通常我从三个方面入手:首先,概括初级写作的文体特点。书面表达在文体上以记叙文、应用文(书信、日记、通知、说明书等)的形式为多见。然后,概括其形式特点。近年来,初级写作题型在形式上以看图说话和根据中英文提出写作两种类型出现频率最高,要求能根据图画所提供的情景和英汉提出的词语,建立联想,创造性地运用所学过的词汇和语法知识来进行表达,比如根据一副或多幅图画及提示语,写出语法正确的六至八句话,或者一篇字数在60-100字的短文,充分地运用自己所学的知识,完整、准确地表达所需求的意思,考查的重点是在领会图意和提示语的前提下能简单创造语言的能力。最后是概括题材特点。在题材上,初级英文写作的表达题所给的大部分内容是比较贴近孩子们生活的人物和事件,诸如饮食、运动、爱好、环境、交友、旅行、娱乐等等,考查的是生活知识和语言知识学与用综合能力。

根据以上文体、形式、题材特点,我要求学生在看图写话时,掌握好以下一个要领:

1、看图说话书面表达题要领

首先,认真审题,弄清画意,把握中心。一般来说,写作题所提供的几幅图画虽然是整个故事情节中的一个或数个重要的情景片段,但每幅图的主体内容一定是清清楚楚、脉络分明的,这一点务必要准确把握,只有具体、透彻的理解画意,方能抓住抓准表达的重点。紧扣暗示内容,分析表达重点,看图题若也有语言提示,那么首先要细审提示材料。若是英文提示语,那就更加重要了,因为提示词语不但能有助于理解画意,而且告知如何围绕这些重点词语组织材料,然后表达出图画内容。但应注意,无论哪种形式的看图写话均不会给出所有的词语,因此,必须紧扣画面暗示的内容,再结合提示语的补充,酌情填补一些关键词语。

其次,运用正确的表达方式和准确的写作方法。用正确的表达方式准确地写出图画所表现的内容,形成一句或一段切合画意又无语法错误的句子是关键。具体应注意以下几点:

(1)确定基本时态。动词是做谓语还是做非谓语?是否需要用第三人称单数?这些必须考虑清楚再动笔。要抓住提示语中提供的或自己设置的时间状语,或抓住第一画图反映出来的故事背景。

(2)注意词语的变化。如该用形容词还是副词?名词是否可数?前面是否需用冠词?词尾是否丢失s或者其他变化形式?特指的定冠词the是否要用或不用?这些在平时演练时,都需要“斤斤计较”,养成习惯。

(3)句型的选择。尽量用自己所学过的句型表达,能用简单句尽量用简单句。

(4)书写规范、准确。

(5)反复检查。要逐字逐句检查词语搭配和句子的结构,是主系表还是主谓宾,注意时态是否完整等等。

2、写中英文提示作文的提纲要领

在做没有图画只有中英文提示语的书面表达题时,对学生要求更高,写作的难度也更大了。这种题型对八年级(下)和九年级学生较多用。我指导学生运用以下六条要领:

(1)、审清题意。反复仔细阅读、推敲提示,分析出文章的重点,弄清文章的格式,确定写什么内容,以免离题;

(2)、概括简要的中文提示中的部分要点,此时切记不可逐句翻译,题前所给的英文提示词语最好全部用上,采用扩写的方式,根据所给材料进行适当的恰如其分的扩写,可以由词到句,再有句到段,最后到篇的“点及面”的写法。

(3)、将提示中的有关信息融入自己的语句中,尽力做到语言规范、准确,文字通顺。

(4)、在抓住重点,不偏离主题的前提下,合理想象,拓展思路;

(5)、用好介词和连词,使文章简练、纹理通顺,尽量使用自己有把握的句式来表达,避免使用不熟练的词、短语和句型;

(6)、最后,正确把握文中的时态和语态,仔细揣摩、合理灵活变化时态和语态。

三、在写作评价中适时地给与指导,积极开展“改中教”。

我的最后一步是走“错误路线”,即在批改学生习作中利用学生的“错误资源”进行写作教学。在批改学生的习作时,我把其中的错字、别字以及大量的令人啼笑皆非的病句收集起来,这些东西常常是学生们的通病,虽说使我苦恼,但经验告诉我,其实这也是一种资源,颇有利用价值,而且用好了还是一剂治病句的“良药”呢!与此同时,我们也要善于发现学生的优点,适时不忘鼓励教学的开展,从而激发学生的写作兴趣。对于写得有水平、有档次的习作可以范读,从而进一步的调动学生的写作热情。

对于大多数学生容易犯的错误,我把一些比较典型的病句展示在黑板上,然后让学生互相订正。许多时候学生在“欣赏”他们自己的劣作时都忍不住哄堂大笑,但笑过之后,错误也在轻松愉快的气氛中改正了,这样既活跃了写作课堂的气氛,又达到了让学生纠正错误的效果。除此之外,我让每个学生准备一个纠错本,将他们平时在练习、造句和作文中出现的病句摘录在册并认真纠正,以避免重复出错,使文章中的病句逐渐减少。

以下是我在学生习作中遇到的典型案例,原文如下:

从整体看,本文错误较多,汉语思维较严重.但总的来讲这篇作文的思路还是比较清晰的,

于是我和学生一道对该文进行了分析:

1、本文首先缺一个主题,从正文中我们不难看出本文是要求写作如何保护环境问题,作者应根据题目要求拟定题目,再进行写作!譬如:我们可以拟定为:HOW  TO  SAVE  OUR  MOTHER等。

2、该文的第一句就出现拉严重的语法错误,The environment gets more and more bad.变得越来越糟糕,应该是“worse  and  worse".在提出问题时,最好创设一定的语言情景,逐步导入,俗话说得好“好的开始就是成功了一半”。以本文为例,我们完全可以以这样导入:With  the  development of  economy  ,more and more factories have built .But there is more and more pollution coming.

3、该文的第二句中的take any measures to carry  it  。意思没有表达清楚,让人看了费解,其实作者可能是想说政府采取一些措施去阻止污染。而采取一些措施去制止污染应为:take  some  measures  to  keep pollution.然而效果不好应为:it  doesnt  work  well.

4、在第二自然段中有单词拼写错误及名词单复数误用的现象,比如“sach as ”应为"such as".

5、表意不清。"not the paper ones to protect soil"和we can also plant more trees and grass to protect air.都存在表意不清的现象。其应该表达为:第一句最好这样表达:not to use paper or use less paper to protect  trees and  because the trees  can  keep the earth from washing.第二句改写为we  can also plant more trees and grass to keep the air clean and fresh.

5、标点符号用得不够恰当,如If we go to a short distance.we can walk or by bike.在这里我们最好这样用要好一些:If we go to a short distance,we can walk or by bike.

6、在最后一段发起倡议时,最好使用感叹句型或祈使句型这样会显得更有力!文章会显得更深入.如;my dear friends, lets get together to protect "The Blue Sky"!等。

除了上述“九字法”英文写作教学模式,我们还应重视做足“平时功夫”以促进学生写作。所谓平时功夫,是指背诵名篇佳作;收集各种话题,布置学生在假期或周末练笔,提倡“一周一文";传阅、张贴、展览学生优秀习作以资鼓励等。鼓励学生善于从平素的练习中总结经验、吸取教训,只要持之以恒,我们完全可以让越来越多的学生逐渐学会用第二语言来表达自己的思想,而且可以像用母语一样轻松自如。

路漫漫其修远兮。英语写作教学的探究征程远而富于变化,需要各位同仁在实际工作中不断探索。在英语写作教学中如何教学及讲评需要继续探索。但有一点鄙人是这样认为的:宽松、愉悦、不断获得鼓励的环境中,学生的思维才会变得活跃。所以教师要及时抓住学生稍纵即逝的新奇、独特的想法,给予赞扬,使学生的创造性思维得以发展。多给学生创造性思维活动的机会,鼓励学生勇于尝试,并在失败面前不气馁。在平素的写作教学实践中,教师应最大限度地创设和实施多种鼓励机制,充分调动全体学生动笔写作的积极性,这样才能促进学生的写作能力更快更好地实现,从而从整体上提高学生的英语语言应用能力。

一、转换思维,确立英语在各学科中的重要地位

首先老师必须帮助学生确立这样的观点:英语是主课,不是豆芽课。在小学阶段,不论是老师,学生,还是家长,可能都看重语文,数学的学习。在小学的英语教学中,老师主要是以游戏为主,关键是学校和教育部门对英语的评估不如语文数学那样重视。所以学生普遍认为语文,数学很重要,英语是豆芽课,学英语就跟玩似的。到了中学,仍然主攻语数、理化,依然把英语当副科。一个学生亲口跟我说:我一直都以为初中英语跟小学一样,是豆芽课。我心痛不已。在入学之初,班主任和英语老师都应反复强调英语这一学科的重要性,让学生引起重视,才能为以后认真学习作好心理准备。

其次要纠正的一个观点是英语无用的观点。我们的老一辈是喊着:“学好数理化,走遍天下都不怕”;“我是中国人,不必学外文”的口号完成学业的。时至二十一世纪,虽然中国已改革开放多年,学英语之风已吹遍大江南北,但在我们这样的小地方,那些口号遗留下来的观点仍然存在。学生们仍然死抱数理化,对英语极其忽略。因为他们认为自己将来用不上英语的,既进不了外企,又成不了CEO,就更别说出国了。所以英语在毕业之后是基本无用的。殊不知,正是这一观点制约了他们的发展,如果他们学好了英语,其余各科也很优秀的话,他们是可以很好发展的,他们一定能走出小城,走向外面的大世界,实现他们更高的社会价值。所以老师应该讲道理,摆事实让学生明白学好英语的重要性。

二、背单词从科学方法入手,避免走弯路

很多初一新生按字母顺序背单词,有些老师也确实这么教的,比如自行车,bike,老师就领着学生念:B-I-K-E,bike。学生自然就学会了这样背单词,即使后来老师介绍了更科学的方法,学生却难改已经养成的习惯,这种方法就一直用到初三,乃至更高的年级。

初一单词量不算很多,本身课程比较轻松,有足够的时间,还能应付。到了高年级,单词量增加,课业加重。学生再也顾不上单词了,即使花了很多时间,单词还是记不住,这就影响了听说,阅读。成绩下降,兴趣降低,学习跟不上了,最终只好放弃学习英语。

老师应在学生开始学英语时就教学生科学背单词的方法,避免学生走弯路。我在了解了马承老师字母,音素,音标的三位一体教学法后,就教学生根据音标背单词。当对字母,音标熟悉到一定程度,只要会说那个单词,就基本上会拼写这个单词。看着生词也能准确的读出来,学生不必花大量时间在单词上。

老师还可以利用学生小学语文课上学的拼音,把汉语拼音和字母,音标建立适当的联系,有利于学生快速记住英语音标的读法和写法,能更快入门。

另外,有些学生一背单词,就翻到书后面的单词表,逐个记忆。其实这种单纯记忆单词是很容易遗忘的。我们老师应该引导学生多读课文,在课文中背单词。这样记下来的单词才能活用,也有利于培养学生的语感。

三、明确中英文化差异

任何一个民族都有其独特的文化和思维方式以及语言的构成方式。西方人的思维、习惯是有别于咱们中国人的,英语语言也是有别于汉语的。英语老师都明白这一点。但老师却没重视这种差异给学生学习带来的困惑。没有及时告诉学生这些差异,这就容易导致学生用中国人的思维方式去理解英语中的一些现象,而且百思不得其解。

我认为初一新生一入学就该明白这一点,学会接纳认同其他民族的文化,了解他们的思维方式,树立文化差异意识,避免用汉语套英语,用汉语的顺序说英语句子,用中国人的习惯去衡量西方人,造成很多考试中的失误和面对西方人时的尴尬。

因此,英语老师在教学中要注意文化的问题,在语言中教文化,在文化中教语言,使二者互相促进。文化的学习既是外语学习的目的,也是外语学习的手段。如果英语教学一旦提升到文化的高度,就会富有情趣。比如:西方人不喜欢“13”这个数字;在中国人眼里,红色是喜庆的,而在西方人眼里则是危险的标志。比如东西方人对赞美的回答,比如中国人和英国人在闲聊方面的话题选择等等都与文化有关。

四、养成大声阅读的习惯,杜绝哑巴英语

很多学生进校时精力充沛,兴趣浓厚,读英语很卖力,日子一长,兴趣没了,声音小了,到了二,三年级,就成默读了。有老师抱怨:早读课比晚自习还安静!

习惯成自然。老师让学生一开始就养成大声阅读的习惯,并随时观察,发现学生有读不出的时候要想办法。我曾在班上给学生讲李阳老师拿着喇叭带领一群人在长城上喊英语的故事,我也带领学生在早上喊读英语,经过几次练习,也颇有成效。

同时我在课堂上也要求学生大声说英语。一个有趣的活动是让教室里相隔甚远的两个同学随意问答,这也可以改变学生因害羞,害怕而不大声说英语的状况。

还有就是避免学文盲英语,有的小孩子读书,嘴里喊得响亮,眼睛没看到书上,即使知道怎么说,却写不出来,或者写别字,这种学法是必须要纠正的。

五、学会做笔记,好记性不如烂笔头

小学老师总告诉孩子们,把这记在这里,把那记在那里。中学老师不会这样告诉学生,这就要学生知道怎样做笔记。而且英语知识点相对零散,课堂上很容易理解和记住,却由于不是系统的,所以极容易遗忘,学生必须时时记笔记,经常复习。有些学生开始没养成记笔记的习惯,后来明明知道那是该写的东西,却懒得动手。考试时到处找别人的笔记来背,其效果当然不理想。

所以学英语之初,就要学生准备笔记本,要求他们作笔记,老师还可以不定期检查,以督促学生记笔记。

在初学英语时,老师应指导学生怎么做笔记并形成习惯,比如:课文里的短语,重要句子,就直接在短语,句子下划线。一些词,句的转换,就直接把替代的词句写在该词句旁边,这样可以在课堂上节约时间。而一些词语辨析,重点句型及例句,大块的语法,比如时态等就得写在笔记本上,省得在书上见缝插针,复习时不好找。另外,学生应在笔记本上写明单元,课题等,以方便查找。

学生要有一套自己的做笔记的符号,老师也可以介绍一些。比如:短语就划直横线,重点句型划波浪线,重点介词,连词等就把该词划圈。这样学生在读课文时就可以重点注意这些有符号的词句,在读书的同时,也可以把这些知识点顺便过一遍,比单独复习省时省力多了。

我有一个学生,她的笔记本上每页都在右边留三分之一或四分之一的空白,每次大考小考复习相关单元时,老师补充的东西就记在这些空白处,真是聪明之至!

六、注重听说读写四项基本技能,培养英语思维习惯英语作文怎样学好汉语

英语不仅是一个学科,更重要的是它是一门语言,是人们借以交流的工具,会听,会说,会读,会写才算掌握了英语。因此老师首先要培养学生听说读写的意识和技能,让学生意识到光靠做题是学不好英语的。通过做题可以得高分,但最终将影响英语能力的提高。

课堂上,老师首先教会学生基本的课堂用语,问候语。课后老师可以主动用简单的英语和学生打招呼。老师把目标语言呈现后要少讲解,多操练。操练的方式也是多种多样的,可以两人对话,可以小组对话,还可以实行男女生之间的对话。老师可以自己编一些简单有趣的句子写在黑板上,让学生读。也可以设置情景,让学生编对话。这些活动不仅可以提高学生听说读写的能力,也能提高学生学习兴趣。

老师一开始教新生时就要避免学生“心译”。初一课本上的单词多半是实物和表示实际动作行为的词,老师教单词时最好出示实物或用简笔画,不用或少用汉字,并且应要求学生学记单词时头脑中出现实物本身的形状,而不是汉字。这样才有利于培养学生的英语思维。

当然英语老师要首先用英语教,课堂上尽量避免使用汉语,必要时可以辅以手势等身体语言。然后要求学生坚持在课堂上认真听英语,用英语想,用英语说,去掉“心译”的过程,形成英语思维的习惯。养成了英语思维习惯,将大大提高学生学英语的速度和进程。

七、预习和复习是学好英语的保障

初学英语,字母和音标符号对于孩子们来说是无意义的音节和符号,很难理解记忆,要靠死记硬背,是极容易遗忘的。所以复习就显得尤为必要,老师必须强调复习预习,安排时间,教授方法,这样才可以保证自己的教学顺利进行下去。而且养成了这样的好习惯,也有利于今后的学习。

一般来说,老师应在下课之前留两分钟让学生复习,指导学生回忆当堂课的主要内容,在学完之后一小时内复习,效果相当好,可以记住内容的百分之九十左右。在下节课开始的时侯再用三四分钟检查学生记忆情况,掌握学生学习状况,及时对所教知识进行复习巩固,会起到很好的教学效果。

老师要让学生有意识地对所学东西分阶段复习。把一天的内容复习一次,在周末把一周的内容进行一下梳理总结,在学月考试时再详细复习。如此反复,学生头脑中的知识是相当牢固的,所学知识就从短时记忆转换成了长时记忆,就不易遗忘了。用所学单词、短语、句型来描述自己身边的人、事是很好的复习单词、句子的方法,对课文可以采取复述的方式,也能收到很好的效果。

初一英语尽管简单,对于学生们来说,还是存在相当的困难。遗忘,枯燥是最大的问题。老师要让学生明白:困难肯定是存在的,但要有克服困难的勇气和决心,每次都努力翻越一个一个的坎,过了一坎,就前进了一步。同时老师要让学生树立远大的理想。为理想而学习英语,不轻言放弃,才会有恒久的动力。

老师要多观察学生,分析学生的作业情况。当学生有困难时,老师要及时发现并给予帮助。在出现较大困难时,老师要和学生讨论,谈心,帮助学生找出解决问题的方法,并和学生一起制订一份可行性计划,并督促学生按时完成。学生只有看见了自己的进步,才更有信心学好英语。

对于学生来说,知识的缺漏容易补救,科学方法和习惯的养成比较难。老师光介绍方法是不行的,还要给予学生必要的,经常的,一定时间的训练,才能取得好的效果。

十、学会使用词典,培养自学能力

大科学家达尔文说:关于方法的知识是最有用的知识。当今的学生在学校不仅要学习文化知识,更重要的是掌握获得知识的方法,以便可以及时更新自己的知识,保证终身的学习和提高。所以老师要在教学的过程中培养学生的自学能力。

在教了字母,音标之后,应该鼓励学生自己拼读,预习单词和课文,不知道意思的单词自己去查词典。初中阶段建议学生使用双语词典,要让学生有意识地去看英文注解。

培养学生自己总结知识的能力,自己总结已经学过的句型,短语。鼓励学生造出自己的句子,用英语表达自己的思想。

现在学英语的渠道很多,学生可以自己选择简单有趣的读物,磁带,光碟,或在网上下载简单的听力,还可以通过网络结交到笔友,在英语网站上学英语。只要正确选择使用这些东西,都可以提高英语,并且会让学英语变得越来越轻松。
