A long coast down to Jiangtan and straight on to Mount End saw us climbing up to Zhongshan Park. The climb got stiffer but still Tom kept on riding. Gritting my teeth I followed on and crested the hill, Then the usual Essex switchback with an enforced short walk for both of us part way along saw us at Tawny common. Round the common we went, to the Mole Trap, an erstwhile rough old country pub now tarted up for the motorists. I don’t go in there any more, so we sat on the adjacent public seat for a while and a short natter.

Time enough to break away, Tom to his lunch appointment, me for home by way of theYellow Crane Tower and Changjiang Bridge. See you in a while, crocodile! I arrived home about 2 o’clock. Just in time for my own Sunday lunch .

I often play computer games because I like it so much. I often watch Japanese cartoon movies with my parents on the weekends. On long holidays we take trips, too.

That is my description of typical family life in China.

有时朋友想一摊被子，在你寒冷的时候给你温暖；有时朋友像一盏灯，在黑暗的时候给你明亮；有时朋友像航标灯，我是轮船，在我迷失方向的时候，是他让我找到了方向。

我的朋友他有一双小眼睛，一对大耳朵，他个子虽矮，但他的学习可不差，数学更是不用说，不是第一就是第二！我们是非常好的朋友，可以说是知心好友。我们住在同一栋楼，每个周末我们都形影不离，做作业在一起，玩在一起，看电视也在一起。可是美好的日子也到头了，我的朋友他去三中读书了，我们差不多要隔好几个星期才能见面。

有一次，我的朋友回来了，我们两家人，不对，应该是三家人一起去爬山，我们在车上聊起学校发生的一些有趣的事情，聊着聊着，我们就到达地了。我们很快就爬到这山上的寺庙了，妈妈们在寺庙里面做饭。可是我和我的朋友还觉得不够，我们决定爬上山顶，山顶上有一块“出米石”，传说古时候有一些穷人向这块石头祭拜时，这块石头就会喷出一些米来。于是我们开始向山顶的这块石头进发了。不知是我们的运气不好还是大山派来的守卫，就在我们走到水泥路时，路上突然蹦出了一条青蛇！我们的魂都被吓跑了，不过我们为了见到这块石头，还是壮着胆前进了。

就在我们快到达山顶时，因为没有路，所以哪里就搭了一座桥。我的朋友他一下就过去了，可是我恐高不敢过。就在这时，我的朋友他伸出手说：“你抓住我的手，慢慢地走过来。”可是我还是不敢过，这是我的朋友又说：“只要你打开你心中的那一把锁，就能突破所有的障碍。”听了他这句话我全身充满了勇气，我觉定试一下。于是他牵着我的手，我慢慢的从桥上走了过去。走过去后我十分的感动，我对他说：“我们能做最好的朋友吗？”他说：“我们本来就是最好的朋友嘛！”就这样我们一起手牵手走上了山顶。到了山顶，那块巨大的“出米石”出现在我们的眼前，这时他说：“以这块石头为证，我们做最好的朋友。”我的心里更感动了，“好”，就这样，山上的这块石头成了我们友谊的见证。

有朋友的日子里总是阳光灿烂，花朵鲜艳，有朋友的岁月里天空不再飘雨，心不再润湿，有朋友的时候才发现自己已经拥有了一切。我们可以失去很多，但不能失去的是朋友。朋友不是一段永恒，朋友也只是生命中的一个过客，但因为着份缘起缘灭使生命变得美丽起来。即使没有将来又有何关？至少，不能忘记的是朋友以及与朋友一起走过的岁月。

The summer vacation had come round again。 I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while。 Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation， I made a plan as to how to spend it。 First， I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them。 Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise， such as walking， running rowing， to keep me physically strong。 It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time。 I did， because I lived up to what I had planned。
