the festival, family members get together and have big meals. Then they watch

the Spring Festival Gala on TV. At midnight, they set off fireworks to welcome

the New Year. During the festival, kids get lucky money from old people. People

visit their relatives and friends. They wish each a happy year and good luck.

[写给朋友的一封信英语作文

今天，我跟我的朋友小伦一起到荔湾花市游览。我们来到花市入口，只见两条金龙威风凛凛地“镇守”着大门。我们一直走，看到许多美丽的花儿，有兰花、金桔、桃花、牡丹等等。

我们再往前走，来到了工艺品档口，我们俩一人买了一个吹气大锤边走边玩，走着走着，忽然觉着有点口渴，于是买了两瓶饮料，坐在路旁的凳子上休息。

我们突然看见有个档口前聚集了很多人在看什么，我们好奇地跑过去一看，哦，原来是有位漫画家陈先生和书法家蔡小姐在免费为人们画肖像和写春联，于是我们也毫不犹豫地去排队，排了差不多一个小时的队，终于轮到我了，陈先生问我喜欢什么运动，喜欢什么球队，什么球星，我回答说：“我喜欢踢足球，我喜欢巴塞罗那足球队，我最喜欢的球员是梅西”。于是他又问小伦，小伦告诉他，他喜欢羽毛球，他最喜欢中国队的林丹。陈先生听了以后，用了不到十分钟就画好了，可是我们还不满足，于是又重新排队，又等了差不多一个半小时，这次我们要蔡小姐帮我们俩写副对联，于是她想了想，帮我们俩每人写了一副“学业进步，大吉大利”的对联。我们于是拿着对联和画像高高兴兴地回家了。

我觉得过年除了和家人一齐相聚是开心的，和朋友相聚也是很开心的。
