With the general standard of living improvingand the working week becoming shorter，more andmore people are able to make a holiday trip toplaces of interest. While many like to joinpackage tours fro convenience，I prefer to traveln my own.

I like travelling on may own not only because it costs much less but because it gives a great degree of independence and freedom. Travelling on my own，I’m my own boss；and can decide when to start on my way，where to linger a little longer and which spot can be skipped over to save energy or time for another spot. Dragon Boat Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It falls on the

fifth day of May in the lunar calendar. A day before this festival, my mother

and grandmother began to make zongzi. Of course, I would act as assistant. But

it turned out that I was more of a hindrance than a help. When they finished,

they started to cook them. This process needed a long time, because I could have

them in the next day. Zongzi was very delicious. On the day of dragon boat

festival, our family prepared for dinner after having breakfast. Everyone of my

family will come back home for the solid diet. Chicken is indispensable on the

In the biology class, my teacher likes to assign tasks to us. As a result,

As the world gets smaller with the development of technology, people

between different countries can learn different culture. They can find the

information from the Internet and most people learn the culture from media. But

the fact is that most media report the events in their perspective, which is not

showing the truth. So the best way for people to learn culture is to come to the

local place, staying for some time and talking to the local people, then they

English is one of my best subjects and I started learning English when I

was ten years old.
