As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine s day, April Fool s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. When you go to sleep at night, I lay in bed cant sleep, thinking of things during the day, suddenly understood, to start from little things, not because of a little advantage, make some excuse me one thing. Its great education to me, I love my mother, I admire her in heart.

我的妈妈高高身材，不胖不瘦，额头上有几丝浅浅的皱纹，脸上常常挂着微笑。

妈妈为人善良，她从小就教导我做人要诚实，待人要宽厚，从小就来培养我好的品德。

记得有件事我总是忘不了。那是一个炎热的下午，太阳像个大火球烤着大地。我做在房间里，不停地扇着扇子，但汗珠还是不停地滚落下来。我对妈妈说：“妈!天气太热了，热得要命!我想吃冰棍。”妈妈说：“走，我带你去买些冰棍。”说着便拿起钱包。

到了买冰棍的地方，我挑选了冰棍，妈妈从钱包里拿出了一张50元的整票递给买冰棍的叔叔，叔叔找完钱，我和妈妈便匆匆回家去了。

回到家，妈妈把找回来数了数，自言自语地说：“咦?不对呀，一共是7元钱，怎么找回45元?”我一听，高兴地说：“太好了!买冰棍的人真糊涂了，找多了3元。妈妈，那2元给我行吗?”妈妈瞪了我一眼，生气地说：“多找了2元，我们应该送回去，不能贪图那些小便宜!再说，人家卖冰棍多不容易呀!”说完，妈妈冒着火辣辣的太阳，把3元钱给人家送去了。

晚上睡觉的时候，我躺在床上睡不着，想起白天的事情，忽然明白了，做人要从一点一滴的事情做起，不能因为眼前的一点小便宜，做出一些对不起人的事。这件事对我有了很大的教育，我爱我的妈妈，我打心里佩她。

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to

improve his way of life。 With the tools of technology he has altered many

physical features of the earth。 He has transformed woodlands and prairies into

farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or

hydroelectric power。 Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining

marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways。

However， mans changes to the physical environment have not always had

beneficial results。 Today， pollution of the air and water is an increasing

danger to the health of the planet。 Each day thousands of tons of gases e out of

the exhausts of motor vehicles。 Smoke from factories pollutes the air of

industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside。 The pollution

of water is equally harmful。 The whole ecological balance of the sea is being

changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless。

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before。 As we know，

massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even

poses a great threat to mans existence。 Indifference to these problems will

mean mitting suicide。 Therefore， effective measures should be taken and laws

passed to conserve environment。 Otherwise，man is certain to suffer from the

serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living

surroundings。

There are many people are deaf among the sixty billion population. They dont have a sound body. They have to face much more difficulties than common people in their daily life. However, there is a big problem they have to face. It is the unfair treatment. As they are disabled, they often looked down upon or teased by others. Many people regard them as useless. In fact, this behavior is not approval. The deaf are human beings that need to be treated equality. They can also make contribution or be useful people for the society. They just couldnt see everything by eyes instead of foolish. For example, Helen Keller is a blind person, but she uses her own story to inspire thousands of people around the world. So, I think we should give a chance to the deaf. Do not discriminate them and try your best to offer them help. The world will be a better world.

在六十亿人口中有很大一部分是聋人。他们并不拥有健全的身体。他们在日常生活中要比普通人面对更多的困难。然而，有一个他们不得不面对的大问题。那就是不公平待遇。他们都是残疾人，往往会被歧视或欺负。很多人认为他们是废人。事实上，这种行为是不应该的。聋人也是人类也需要公平对待。他们也可以为社会做贡献或成为对社会有用的人。他们只是眼睛看不到东西并不是笨蛋。例如，海伦凯勒就是盲人，但是她用她自己的故事来激励了世界各地成千上万的人。所以，我认为我们应该给聋人一个机会。不歧视他们，尽量帮助他们。世界将会变得更美好。
