Salaries should reflect people’s dedication and job responsibilities.

However, sports figures, who don’t benefit the community in general, earn

millions of dollars each. In my opinion this is wrong. Things should be done to

change this situation.

If we take the example of a sport star such as Tyson, it is hard for us to

say in what way he benefits the society. In fact, his disobeying game rules sets

a bad example for young people, and his abandoned behavior encourages people to

experiment with sex and violence. Besides, his job does not require special

skills or years of training and education. Although he can entertain and excite

audience, I do not think he is justified to receive so much money and his job

can be considered essential.

On the other hand, most people in ‘ordinary’ professions like nurses,

doctors and teachers earn only a small fraction of the income of these “stars”.

However, if we give a careful look at these professions, we will find that they

not only require special skills and years of education but also help the people

and the whole society. For instance, teachers disseminate knowledge to the

society; doctors and nurses give patients good medical care and prolong their

life. They are much more useful, and actually more essential to society than

sports personalities. Without these ‘ordinary’ professions, our society would

stop progressing. Their salaries should relate to skill, education or the value

of the inpidual to society.

Things should be done to make salaries fairer. Huge amounts of money shall

be given to more deserving people. It seems that the only solution is to impose

heavy taxes upon people who earn excessively high salaries.

Every year, my school holds sports meeting in about September, I am very exciting about it, I can watch the wonderful game and dont have class. My schools sports meeting lasts three days, the class is suspended, all the students go to the play ground to watch the game. As an audience, I am so nervous and yell out "come on" to my classmate, watching they get to the final line, I am so proud of them. The part I like most is relay race, that is so exciting, all the students yell loudly, the athletes chase one by one, nobody can be sure who is the champion until the last minute. Sports meeting bring me so many beautiful memories.

每年，我的学校都会大约在九月份举行运动会，对此我很激动，我可以观赏美妙的比赛和不用上课。学校的运动会维持三天并停课，所有的学生都去操场上观看比赛。作为一名观众，我很紧张，大声对同学喊“加油”，看着他们冲过终点线，为他们感到自豪。我最喜欢的部分是接力比赛，很刺激，所有的学生大声呼喊，运动员一个追一个，没人可以肯定谁是冠军，直到最后的时刻。运动会带给了我很多美好的回忆。

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale.

Everyone has different interests and preferences, some people like sports, others like to read books, increase knowledge, also, some people like to go out to travel.

I like playing football, every Saturday afternoon, mom and dad will take me go to football lessons, because can learn many skills, let me play better, more progress. I also like camping, because can play games with my friends, watch insects, sleep in a tent, and can also be seen around the beautiful scenery, let me find the scenery pleasing to both the eye and the mind.

I also like to play table tennis, every Monday I will be in the school table tennis class with my classmates, teachers will also teach us a new way, also can match with your classmates, exciting and fun. Mountain climbing is my favorite activities, because can strong body, can also be a breath of fresh air, these are my interest.

Id love to do some of these activities can help the body health, some playing games can relax the mood, I was a healthy baby.

每个人都有不同的兴趣和喜好，有些人喜欢运动,有些人则喜欢读书，增加知识，还有，有些人喜欢出去旅游。

我最喜欢踢足球，每个星期六的下午，爸爸妈妈都会带我去上足球课，因为可以学到很多技巧，让我踢得更好更进步。我也很喜欢露营，因为可以和朋友一起玩游戏，观察昆虫，睡帐篷，还可以看到各地美丽的风景，让我心旷神怡。

我也很喜欢打桌球，每个星期一我都会在学校和同学一起上桌球课，老师也会教我们新的招数，也可以和同学比赛，很刺激又好玩。爬山也是我喜爱的活动，因为可以强健身体，也可以呼吸新鲜空气，这些都是我的兴趣。

我很喜欢做这些活动，有的可以帮助身体健康，有的可以放松心情一起玩游戏，我真是一个健康宝宝。

这个星期五，我校举行了一年一度的运动会。在这次运动会上，我们举行了一场别开生面的、令人难忘的入场式。

这一天，同学们早早地来到了学校。初冬的丽日仿佛给整个校园披上了一件透明而又美丽的金黄绸衫，使学校凭添了几分节日的气氛。

八点整，各个班的同学在学校广播的统一指挥下，手里拿着预先准备好的道具，陆续来到了指定的地点，排队等候入场式的开始。

在这次入场式上，全校三十八个班级将组成三十八个方阵，从高年级到低年级，沿着新操场的塑胶跑道依次经过主席台，进入操场中央。为了使入场式更有趣味，也为了让参加入场式的每个班级、每位同学增强一些竞争意识，学校将对每个班级在入场式中的表现进行打分，并评选出前三名，因此，我们每个班级事先都作好了充分的准备，从服装道具的选择，到队伍步伐的训练，我们都下了很大的工夫。

八点十五分左右，学校领导来到了主席台上。这时，节奏明快的运动员进行曲响起，入场式开始了。只见同学们一个个迈着整齐的步伐，意气奋发，精神抖擞地进入了比赛场地。看!

六(1)班的同学们在中队旗的指引下，手里拿着轻气球，雄赳赳、气昂昂地走在最前面。当快到主席台时，他们齐声高喊：“发展体育运动!增强人民体质!好好学习!天天向上!1—2—3—4!1—2—3—4!”当喊到“4”的时候，几十位同学同时把气球往空中一抛，顿时，五彩缤纷的气球如一只只彩蝶在空中飞舞，场上的观众都情不自禁地鼓起掌来。紧跟着六(1)班的是六(2)班，他们也不甘示弱，当六(2)的队伍经过主席台时，一只只鸽子带着他们美好的心愿腾空而起，又一阵热烈的掌声在操场上空久久回荡。这时，该轮到我们上场了。我们似乎已经意识到了我们手里的道具——五环和气球，跟前两个班级相比有些“先天不足”，因此，我们尽量在其他方面做得好一些。当我们的队伍来到主席台时，我敢说，我们的步伐是最整齐的!

我们的胸膛是挺得最高的!

我们的口号是喊得最响亮的!

我们舞动着气球和五环的手是最卖力的!

一支支队伍过去了，为了赢得比赛的胜利，正可谓是“八仙过海，各显神通”!

我想最后比赛的结局，对每个班级来说固然很重要，然而比这更重要的，是我们每个人、每个班级都曾经为赢得比赛的胜利而艰苦努力过!

运动会的入场式是令人难忘的，而更难忘的，是同学们积极向上，竞争拼搏的精神!
