蜂鸟的巢由树叶、草和蜘蛛网建成，十分柔软，可以用来孵化幼鸟。蜂鸟的蛋只有一粒豌豆那么大，蜂鸟的舌头很长，像一根吸管，可以吸食花蜜，而且蜂鸟还有好多品种呢！ 蜂鸟披着一件翠绿色的外衣，下巴红红的，胸口有一点白白的，尾部也有一些白白的，还有一个又尖又长的小舌头，就凑成了一只活泼的小蜂鸟。 蜂鸟喜欢在花丛中，但是蜂鸟和蜜蜂一样喜欢吸花蜜，这个长长的舌头就是帮蜂鸟吸花蜜的，而且它喜欢吸花蜜不喜欢吸别的什么东西。 蜂鸟虽然很小，但是有一点是什么鸟都没有的，就是蜂鸟不像其它的鸟儿那样怕人，人们走到它身边，它也不会害怕的飞走。 蜂鸟的飞行本领很高，除了向前飞，它还可以倒退着飞和悬停在空中。 我真想抓一只蜂鸟来饲养呀，一位姐姐看了看我说：“孩子，你知道蜂鸟住在那里？在美洲住。它从这么遥远的地方飞来是想和你一起玩耍的呀！” 我有一些后悔，打消了这个小念头。在蜂鸟飞来的时候，我就在那里静静的看着它那美丽的身姿，希望它在树上多停一会儿。
