一.名词

写作中，学生们常把握不好名词的数、所有格以及一些集合名词的用法。

1.Hegavemeaverygoodadviceyesterday.

句中的a要去掉，因为advice是不可数名词。一些汉语概念为可数的词在英语中却是不可数的，表示数量时在要其前加apieceof，类似的词有：news,bread,work,paper,chalk,furniture,information等等。

2.Thatgirllovesreadingbook.

可数名词单数不能孤零零地放在句子里，或前面加冠词，或将其变为复数。此处最好变为books.

3.Hewentintoabooksshopandboughtadictionary.

一般表示有生命的东西的名词的所有格用’s，如mymother’scar,而此处适宜用名词修饰名词，改为abookshop.

4.MyfamilyiswatchingTV.

一些集合名词如看成一个整体，则用单数的谓语动词，如Myfamilyisahappyone.如果强调集合中每个个体的个人行为，则用复数的谓语动词。此处看电视是个体行为，应把is改为are。类似的词有：team,class,audience等。

5.Iboughtsomepotatosandtomatosatthesupermarket.

中学阶段，以“o”结尾的名词中有四个词变复数时要加es，它们是tomato,potato,Negro,hero;其余的都加s变为复数。

6.Thishasnothingtodowiththeirbelieves.（这和他们的信仰没关系。）

以f,fe结尾的词变为复数时一般去f,fe加ves，如knife—knives,

thief—thieves;而roof和belief直接加s变为复数。所以应把believes改为beliefs.

二.冠词

7.Thebosswantstohireanusefulperson.

用a还是an，取决于后面单词音标中的第一个音，如为元音用an，为辅音用a。useful的第一个音是辅音所以应把an改为a。类似的，我们说aEuropeancountry.

8.Planeisamachinethatcanfly.

plane为可数名词单数，不能单独放在句中，应在其前加冠词或把它变为复数，而本句后有amachine,因此只能在其前面加a，变为Aplane。

9.Heplayedapianoatthepartyyesterday.

把a改为the，因为乐器前用定冠词。

10.Themachinewasinventedin1920s.

在in后加the，因为表示年代用in加the再加几十的复数，如在八十年代inthe80s。

11.XiaoHongwenttoschoolbythebuseveryday.

去掉the，因为表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具。

三.代词

使用代词时请注意其单、复数，主、宾格以及形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法。

12.Heisoneofthosespeakerswhomakehisideasperfectlyclear.

定语从句的先行词是thosespeakers，为复数，因此从句中的指示代词应为复数，应把his改为their。

13.Whomdoyouthinkhasleftthelightson?

放在疑问句特殊疑问词后的doyouthink/believe/guess/imagine/suppose等都不参与句子成分。本句中去掉doyouthink后缺的是主语，应把Whom改为Who。

14.ThebosspretendednottoseeJohnandI.

John和I在句中都做的宾语，应把I改为me。

15.Thesebooksaremine；thoseinthebagareher.

her是形容词性物主代词，后面应该加名词books，或把her改为hers。

四.数词

16.Therearefourteenhundredsstudentsinourschool.

hundred/thousand/million/score/dozen等词前有具体数字时后不加s，前面没有具体数字时在其后加s和of，表示大约几百几千的概念。如two

hundredstudents（两百个学生），hundredsofstudents（成百上千个学生）。例句中应把hundreds改为hundred。

17.Theirschoolistwiceaslargerasourschool.

表倍数关系的as...as中间只能用形容词或副词的原级。因此应把larger改为large.

18.Today’shomeworkisafive-hundred-wordscomposition.

几个单词由连字符连接而组成的复合形容词中的名词只能用单数，所以把five-hundred-words改为five-hundred-word.

19.TwothirdofthestudentsinourschoolarefromAmerica.

英语表达中分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于一时分母后要加s，所以就把third改为thirds.

五.形容词和副词

形容词和副词容易被误用，形容词和副词的比较级和最高级也是应注意的重点。

20.Thepatientappearednervouslywhenhetalkedtothedoctor.

appear在此是个系动词，其后应接形容词作表语。所以应把nervously改为nervous.

21.Theartistworkedhardlytofinishhisdrawingsontime.

此句需要一个副词来修饰，hardly是副词，但意为“几乎不”，hard也可以是副词，表努力，因此把hardly改为hard.

22.Thisshirtismorecheaperthanthatone.

more只构成比较级，而不能修饰比较级。因此把more去掉。

23.Heisthemostsuccessfulofthetwobusinessmen.

两者相比较时，比较级前用定冠词，三者或三者以上才用most，因此把most改为more.

24.Heworkslessharderthanheusedto.

表不如?...时用less加上形容词和副词的原级，因此把harder改为hard.

25.Thebookisfairlymoreinterestingthanthatone.

fairly只能修饰形容词和副词的原级，可以修饰比较级的副词或短语有：much,even,still,far,alot,alittle,abit,any,no,byfar,rather等，因此把fairly改为rather.

26.Thisisasaninterestingastoryastheoneinthemagazine.

as?as中间的词序是as加上形容词加上a(n)加上名词再加上as，因此应改为asinterestingastoryastheone.

27.Theweatherhereisnicerthan.

同样的事物才能相比较，weather和不具有可比性，因此应改为Theweatherhereisnicerthanthatof.

29.Iwouldrathertakeatrainthanwentbybus.

这个词组为wouldratherdo?thando?，因此把went改为go.

30.Isthereinterestinganythingatthemeeting?

修饰anything,something,everything,nothing的形容词都要放在它们的后面。

31.Ineverhaveseensuchapersonbefore.

像never之类的副词在句中应放在be动词、助动词之后，实意动词之前。因为应改为Ihaveneverseensuchapersonbefore.

32.Thebookisworthtoberead.

beworthdoing意为值得被做。因此改为Thebookisworthreading.

33.Itissurethathewillsucceed.

sure的主语只能为人，而certain的主语可为人和物。因此把sure改为certain.

34.Heisregardedasoneofthebestalivewritersatpresent.

alive为表语形容词，偶尔也做后置定语。因此把alive改为living，或把alive放在writers后面。

35.Idon’tknowthathehasfinishedtheworkyet.

yet用于否定和疑问句，already用于肯定句。把yet改为already.

36.Hesaidnearlynothingatthemeeting.

nearly不与否定词用在同一个句子中，而almost可以。因此把nearly改为almost。

六.介词

37.Heusuallygoestoschoolbyhisfather’scar.

by加上名词表示一种交通方式，中间什么都不加，如bycar,bybus,byplane等；如果名词前有其他的词修饰，则应用除by以外的其他介词，此处把by改为in.

38.Pleasewaitmeattheschoolgate.

wait为不及物动词，需加介词for后才能再跟名词或代词做宾语。

39.HehasbeenmarriedwithBettyformorethantwentyyears.

marry不跟with连用，应把with改为to。

Every child needs to receive education and they spend so much time to learn

knowledge, whether they are like or not. The adults always tell their children

that as they are young and full of energy, so they should learn knowledge and

skills, but most kids dont know the necessity of study. The most important

reason to study is to keep pace with the time. We live in the society that we

need to make connections with others. If we dont get the newest information, we

will be kicked out and have no idea what they are talking about, then isolation

happens. Whats more, when we are equipped with skills, we can make our choices

and take charge of our life. In order to live the comfortable life, we must

study hard and fight for our future.

When girls get together, they like gossip. They always talk about the topic of beauty. They will discuss who is the most beautiful girl in school or they will compare the girls and see who is more charming. As the young people, they usually judge people from appearance. The definition of beauty of course is the one who is thinner and has the pretty face. When they ask me which one is more attractive, then I will look at them for a while, because I want to perceive their personality. My view on beauty is not only from appearance as I think most girls have the pretty faces, but also from the inside, only the quality that differentiates them. The pretty faces will fade away anyway, only the quality that helps people to keep charming. So we need to cultivate the good quality.

女孩喜欢八卦，当她们聚在一起时，总是谈论美的话题。她们会讨论谁是学校里最美丽的女孩或者比较谁更有魅力。因为年轻，所以她们通常是从外貌判断一个人，理所当然的认为美丽的定义是瘦跟漂亮的脸蛋。当她们问我哪一个女孩子更有魅力的时候，我会看一会，因为我想想想她们的品行。我觉得大多数女孩都有着漂亮的脸蛋，所以我认为美不仅是外表，还有内心美，只有品行能把她们区分开来。漂亮的面孔会逐渐老去，只有品行可以永远保持魅力。所以我们需要培养良好的品行。

在我小的时候，妈妈一遍又一遍地教我认字，认字图上有一个 “书”字，几本书优雅的展开页面，里面写着各种各样的童话。3岁的我，当然不知书是什么，但我认识的太阳公公和月亮婆婆，都在这儿，勾起了我的兴趣，“妈妈，这是什么?”“这是书，里面有好多好多故事，可好看哩!”书?我那稚嫩的脑袋里立刻做出了回答，一定是有三只小猪的故事;一定是有白雪公主的故事;一定是有猴子捞月的故事······

拿着缠着妈妈买的书，我那颗小小的心充满了欢喜。我的第一本书是《安徒生童话》，我认真的翻开第一页，一边拼着拼音，一边歪着小脑袋，读着那一个又一个的汉字。“呜呜呜”看完了卖火柴的小女孩，我的心不由的颤动了一下，我为这位小姐姐的悲惨命运感到痛心：温馨的圣诞节，一家人能聚在一起进餐，小姐姐却被自己的亲身父亲赶出门外卖火柴，寒冷的冬风是多么刺骨，小姐姐却没有厚厚的棉袄，没有可口的食物，没有丰富的礼物，更没有热情的祝福。我抱住妈妈，泪流满面：“妈妈，我们买一些食物和衣服送给那位卖火柴的小姐姐好不好 。”妈妈温柔的抱住我， “好，好，我们帮助小姐姐，还有世界上更多的小哥哥和小姐姐!”

我的童年是书陪伴我的，一直到现在，我已经是弟弟妹妹的大姐姐了，可还爱看那可爱的童话。我的识字和写作，也是从那儿提高的，每一次语文老师的赞扬，我都会感谢那一位位的“老师”，是他们让我获得更多的知识，更多的情感。

对于我来说，书就是一场神奇的美梦。真善美，虚恶丑，在这个梦里淋漓尽显。每一个梦，都教会了我无数的人间真情。

知识的力量是无穷的。我的梦想是当一位作家，写出这人世间的奥秘，为此，我要多多读书，汲取书中的知识，使自己的视野更加宽阔，使自己的道德修养更加强。

我爱我的梦想，它是我在人生中奋斗的目标;我更爱书，它使我离目标更近了一步。

It has been over 100 years since the very first plane, invented by the Wright Brothers, flew into the sky. The first plane, which was made of wood, had only been able to fly for 12 seconds in the air, but it opened the door of the aviation world. 极少有这么温馨的时刻，母亲在灶台上炒肥肠给刘波吃，刘波坐在灶下烧柴禾，父亲和二哥在喝着小酒，刘涛和三姐居然还在陪大姐打扑克，大姐于年前已经出嫁，现在都怀孕了。

“妈，我想做点小生意。”刘波边往灶膛里塞柴禾，边轻轻地征询着母亲的意见。“做什么样的？”母亲切辣椒时抬起眼，望了一下刘波。“开个小餐馆怎样？在学校边上。”刘波兴致来了，他起身，走到灶台边，双手支撑着灶台，望着锅里，“妈，你知道不，这盘肥肠，在城里要卖十块一份，可是我们知道这盘肥肠才两三块钱，我还是算了所有的成本，都包括油盐了。”刘波向母亲解说着开餐馆的利润。

母亲并没有搭话，依旧低头炒菜，也不再问刘波，似在思考着什么。

刘波有些急了，他追问起来，“妈，你就说这事可不可行？”母亲边往盘子里装菜，边漫不经心地回着刘波，“你上哪请厨师，你店子找了吗？你有多少钱做本？”母亲并不是有意打击刘波，她只是问了最现实的一些问题，而这些问题恰恰是刘波并没有考虑到的，除了关于本钱这个之外。

“先吃饭吧。”母亲说完话，自顾自地端着菜出了厨房。

“都别玩了，来吃饭。”母亲给所有的人添好饭后，开始喊着话。大姐是得知刘波回家，特意从婆家赶过来看他的，三姐出学后就接替了大姐做代课老师的工作，而刘涛据说是因为在学校早恋了，无心学习，所以也没有继续去上学了，过年后也只是在家帮忙照看加工厂，大部分时间都是把家里那些用来加工的机器拆了装，装了拆，对此他乐此不疲。

“刘波说要开餐馆，你们什么意见？”母亲一落座，就把刘波的想法告知了家里所有人。

“什么呀？”反应最大的是父亲，他停下端到嘴边的小酒杯，把举在半空中的手，重重地往桌上一放，“你在外面还没有疯够啊？还想再出去？不声不响的出去这么几个月，也没见你混个万元户回呀？……”父亲总是这样，喋喋不休地见缝插针，语气里尽是讽刺，在他眼里，也许这些儿子都不及他能干。刘波白了一眼父亲，他不奢望父亲会同意自己的任何一个决定，从小到大，他从骨子里反判着父亲，不仅仅是因为父亲的高傲，还有父亲从眼神里到处流露出来的轻视，让他们从小没有任何信心可言。刘波认为，父亲并不是真的如他自己所说，供他们吃饱穿暖就算是一个合格的父亲，真正的好父亲，是不会这么瞧不起自己的儿子。

刘波把希望寄予已经结婚了的大姐，还有为家里能赚钱的二哥和三姐，大姐接过刘波求助的目光，有些不好意思的低下了头，“四矮子，不是大姐不帮你，大姐都要生伢了，我……”。不等大姐解释完，刘波抢过了话，“大姐，我不是要你去帮我做服务员还是炒菜，我是没有本钱。”刘波以为这个对于刚新婚的大姐来说，根本不算什么难题，因为他知道，新婚的人都有钱，就倒茶礼都得收上好几千呢。“不是，大姐现在不是没有做事嘛，我们一结婚就分了家，家里的田地就李明军一个人做，农药化肥种子都要钱，再说我也要生了，得留点钱……”大姐的声音越来越小，刘波望着大姐几乎要哭出来。

“四矮子，你开餐馆到底要几多钱哟？大姐都要急哭了。”三姐边往嘴里扒着饭，边不以为然地接过话。“不多，几千总要的吧。”刘波有些失望，语气失落极了，“恶霸你教书有工资的吧？”他把矛头指向了老三刘红。三姐停下夹菜，把眼珠子一翻，用高八度的嗓门嚷嚷起来，“你莫想打我的主意儿，我那点工资，还顾不到自己的吃喝，哪有钱存撒，再说我也就工作两年而已，莫把我看成了富婆好不好？还有女孩子用钱本来也厉害，我还正打算找你这个从城里回来的款爷借点的，你可到好，跑来跟我们哭穷。……”还没有等刘波回过神来，刘红已经诉苦诉了一大堆，都让人不忍心再继续跟她提钱的事。

刘波不再说话，真的有些心灰意冷了。明着是一家人都在赚钱，可真正要用钱了，却没有一个人愿意支助点。二哥喝了一口酒后，叹了一口气，“四矮子，我到是想借点给你，可是你看我的新房子都刮塑了，前几天才找人订做一点家俱，明年的农历二月花朝知道吧，我就要结婚了，外面还有好多的账没有收回来呢。要不你从明儿起去帮我出去收欠的酒账，我考虑借你两千，怎么样？”二哥的话基本等于没有说，这些陈年烂账，二哥这么彪悍的人都要不回，自己能要到吗？再说自己也就在城里那些小混混眼里有点霸气，在农村这些赊酒的老头子眼里，屁都不值一个的。

看着个个都有困难，刘波开始有点绝望了，他默默地吃着饭，没有接二哥的话，也没有抬眼看二哥到底有多无奈。

一家人开始沉默，刘波心里五味杂存。

过了好久，刘涛不合适宜地冒出了一句话，“四矮子，跟你说个事哟，辣子这回找的个女的，蛮好看的，非洲人呢。”刘涛还没有说完，就遭到了刘兵的一个筷子头的待遇，“什么非洲人？人家也就只是黑了点，黑美人好吧。”刘兵说这话时，朝刘波露出了一丝笑容。刘波猜想二哥这回是遇到了真命天女了，他那么挑的人，媒婆都不知道换了几个，更何况是女朋友，见二哥这么开心，他只好跟着二哥，勉强挤出一个回应的笑。

父亲继续喝着酒，并不时劝说些刘波，大意也就是希望他不要这么不务正业，整天在外瞎混混，最好是能回家来帮他，帮二哥把家业做大做强，父亲的话，到最后，刘波是一句也没有听进去的。

刘波知道母亲当不了父亲的家，但是他依然把最后的希望寄托在母亲的身上。在母亲洗碗的空档，刘波又拐进了厨房，“妈，你有没有私房钱？”刘波知道母亲疼他，兴许能帮他。

母亲不语，只是摇头，这让刘波几近绝望。

“妈，你相信我，我真的是拿去做正事，不是去玩的。”刘波几乎哀求，他知道母亲有顾虑。“在家里不好么？你这个样子在外面，我日夜都着急，不放心。”母亲轻轻地说，“如果你真想要钱，我也就几百块钱，真的没有很多，你也知道，你大姐刚出嫁，用了一些钱，二哥就要结婚了，女方家要买三金，我们得把这个先顾着。”母亲见刘波做生意的态度很坚决，只好为难地说出了心里最真实的想法。

听完母亲的话，刘波不再求了，他突然觉得母亲的这个理由真的好充分，二哥毕竟好挑，好不容易遇到了一个中意的，怎么能因为自己而搞砸了？一时之间，他沉默了，静静地站在门口，什么话都说不出来，自己真的没有更好的理由能让母亲为难。“波子，如果你真要急用钱，找找你爷爷吧。”在刘波打算轻轻退出房门时，母亲突然指点了一下。

母亲的话，给本来心灰意冷的，可以说是万念俱灰的刘波，带来了一线生机，一丝光明。是的，爷爷怎么没有想到呢？刘波兴奋的一晚上没有睡着，想了一晚上，怎么好好的把自己前程似锦的宏图伟业跟爷爷讲清楚，而让爷爷既能高兴的掏钱，又能愉快的拿钱。
