I am a sophmore of Nanchang University.Now i want to introduce to you guys

about my university.It has a long history back to the fifties of last

century.

As it locate far away from the city center ,the most prosperous place,you

may think the traffic is totally unconvenient,then you are wrong,instead of

unconvenient ,there are a lot of transportation tools that will take you to

where you want to go at any time.when it going to say about facilities and

faculites,i will say they are excellent and helpful.I cherish friendship and

like to make as many friends as i can and i found out that the students there

are have a heart of gold ,and are hospital.So,thats my university,it is not the

best one but i still love it .I can foresee that i will enjoiy my life on campus

from now.

When I was a little child, I had many dreams. I wanted to be rich, so that

I can live in a big and beautiful house. I can go everywhere by car. But now, my

dream seems to be better and more realistic. I hope I can have a good job. It

will not take much of my time, although I can’t earn much. Every year, I have

holidays to travel. Traveling is my favorite and it can reduce my pressure. It’s

good for my life. Therefore, I hope traveling can be a part of my future

life.

The end of the term is coming soon. All the students are preparing for the

final exam. Some students want to get the high mark by playing some tricks.

There is no meaning to do this. Honesty is very important, because it decides

what kind of person we will be. So we should behave ourselves well and our

parents will be proud of us.

College is the very amazing stage for students, they have gone through the

hard time and finally come to their dream place. In this beautiful age, students

are young and full of energy, their color of youth should be red, which means

active.

For college students, their main energy should be put on study. It is the

age of fighting, they need to learn more knowledge, so that they can make some

preparation for their future. What they learn will decide what kind of job they

will do in the future. It is important to master the skills and find their own

advantages.

Besides study, joining the activity is also part of their lives. They can

learn how to get along with others and cooperate with other students.

As my second year of high school life has come, I feel a little stressful,

because I want to enter a better college, but my score worries me. I have made

up my mind to make great progress on my study. Firstly, I need to improve my

weak subjects. Geography and math are always my weakness, so I decide to go over

the important knowledge and ask help from my classmates. My good friend is very

patient, and she explain the details to me. With her help, I will make progress.

Secondly, every time when the exam paper handed down, I will scan my mistakes

and figured out how to make it right. Though I always feel frustrated, I will

tell myself to stick on. Finally, I will make it and see hope. Every aim I made

completes me and makes me stronger.

The Mid-Autumn Festival has all interesting history. Long ago in one of the

dynasties of China there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not

manage the country well. The people were so angry that some brave ones suggested

killing the king. So they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time

and put them into cakes.

On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the

cakes. When they ate them they discovered the notes. So they gathered together

to make a sudden attack on the king. From then on the Chinese people celebrate

on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat moon cakes in memory of that

important event.

When the Mid-Autumn Festival is near, shop windows are beautifully

decorated. Many moon cakes are displayed for people to buy. People send presents

such aswine, fruits and moon cakes to their friends and relatives. In the

evening of the day, they have a feast. After the feast, they go out to the

garden to look at the moon. The children run and laugh on the streets.

It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. Many poems

have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing

such poems. In Chinese literature, the moon of the Mid Autumn Festival has been

compared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. It seems that Chinese

literature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.

We need to follow all kinds of public rules, such as the manner rules and

the traffic regulation. If we break the rules, then all the work will be out of

order and everybody will suffer the loss. But few people just ignore the rules

and waste other people’s time and money.

Chinese high speed train has won many praise from foreign people. The

trains always start off as the timetable and reach the destination on time. High

speed train is popular by the public by its speed and punctuality, but what if

someone breaks the traffic rule? Recently, a video got popular on the Internet.

A woman was stuck in the door of high speed train and the staffs tried to stop

her but failed. She said her husband was on the way and she wanted the train to

start off later. How ridiculous it was. How could she let all the passengers to

wait for her. Everybody’s time is precious.

Though the woman apologized after the policemen’s education, what she did

discomforts the public. The way she acted wasted the public’s time. It is our

duty to follow rules and keep the public in order.

Nowadays, people prefer to travel by air. This is because air travel has

some advantages. First of all, airplane, the miracle created by man, is the

fastest means of transport. It takes the least time for one to travel by air

from one place to another. Besides,travelingby air is convenient and

comfortable. Friendly air hostesses are affectionate and considerate. They look

after passengers all the way to their destinations. In addition, on long

distance flights there are films and music for people to entertain

themselves.

As a popular saying goes, "Everything has two sides." The same is true of

air travel. It has some disadvantages, too. For one thing, air travel is

expensive. The average Chinese are not rich enough to afford expensive air

fares. So they prefer to take trains, which save a lot of money. For another,

although passengers are assured of their safety, they are still worried about it

during the journey because flying always involves more or less risk.

As far I am concerned, the advantages mentioned above exceed the

disadvantages. If I were given choice between traveling by air and by train, I

would certainly prefer the former, especially the long distance journey, because

time is the most important thing I have to take into consideration whatever I

do.

21st century is the century of technology. Nowadays, technology is

everywhere around us. The development of technology has a significant affact

toward the society. Several technologies that we usually use are the internet,

computer, and cellphone. These new technologies make our life much easier and

better.

First, the development of computer changes our life. Decades ago, people

needed to do lots of complex calculation on hand because they did not have

computer, and more obvious, they did not have the software for calculation. As

the result of that, people spent hours on the equations that a computer can

solve in just a minute. Since the development of computer, people are able to

use some kind of software to compute lots of complex functions and mathematical

calculation. Computer becomes the most helpful equipment for the sciencists

because they can use their time more efficiently.

Also, internet is another useful tool for us today. The development of

internet brings a great impact toward the society. Instead of going to library

and fliping all the books to figure out some information, we can just simply use

a mouse and click on the website to do research. The internet leads us to a

place where we can find unlimited information and resources. It makes our life

much easier and better.

The last technology is cellphone. Nowadays, many people have a cellphone.

But it just appears on the market for about 10 years. It is very convenience to

the users because we can talk to anyone we want with a phone as small as a

wallet. Also, we can communicate with others by making a phone call instead of

sending letters. It is very fast and useful way to communicate.

In conclusion, I believe the development of technology brings significant

impact to our life. It is very helpful to us and I believe technology will keep

improving in future.

Many people dream to live a healthy life. But sometimes they do not have a

full understanding of healthy life. In my mind, a healthy life includes physical

and mental health. People need to have a healthy diet and regular exercise to

make our physical more and more healthy. At the same time, people have to

remember that mental health is also very important. People need to find ways to

relax themselves and keep a good mood every day. At least do not be depressed

for a long time. People can have a healthy life only when they keep a good

health between physical and mental.

本学期，我将结合学校工作计划和学校教学工作计划的要求，规范常规教学，提高教学质量，努力形成自己的教学特色。

一、总体思路

以努力提高教学质量为目标，以抓好教学常规工作，提高英语合格率为重点，采用任务型教学法，注重“学困生”的教育补差工作，形成良好的教学风气。

二、学生情况分析

经过一学期的学习，从上期期末成绩来看，七年级两个班的英语成绩比较理想。平均分82分。大部分学生学习目的明确，态度端正，掌握了英语学习的一些基本方法，能够积极主动认真地学习，学习成绩较好。但还有少部分学生没有明确的学习目的，缺少学习的热情和主动性，自觉性较差，相应的学习习惯也差，加上两极分化十分严重。

三、教材分析

《Goforit》七年级下册共14个单元，包括2个复习单元。全书采用任务型语言教学模式，融汇话题、交际功能和语言结构，形成了一套循序渐进的生活化的学习程序。每个单元都列出明确的语言目标，主要的功能项目与语法结构，需要掌握的基本词汇，并分为A、B两部分。A部分是基本的语言内容，B部分是知识的扩展和综合的语言运用。每个单元还有selfcheck部分，供学生自我检测本单元所学的语言知识。它采用“语言的输入---学生的消化吸收---学生的语言输出”为主线编排的。

四、教学目标

掌握本册书上的重点词汇、词组以及句型。通过本学期的学习，培养学生对英语的学习兴趣，形成有效的学习策略，有效提高学习效率，发展双基能力;培养听、说、读、写的能力，使学生初步获得运用英语的能力，达到语言运用能力的迁移和拓展;通过了解世界，了解不同地区的人文风俗，学会理解和尊重异国文化，并使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人，能在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务，尽情享受学习的乐趣。

五、教学措施

1、加强词汇教学，包括单词拼写、词义记忆，语言功能的训练。

词汇是文章、句子的基本单位，词汇量的大小，将直接关系到学生能否流利地运用英语进行交际;能否熟练地用英语读和写;能否顺利地用英语思考。从上学期的期末考试所反映的问题看，在今后的教学中，在加强拼读与拼写的同时，应帮助学生进行有意识记，应加强对词的用法及内在含义的理解，要培养学生用英语解释单词的能力，逐步启发引导学生用英语思考。单词教学一定要做到词不离句，这样，学生在学会了单词的同时，也学会了词的一些基本用法。

2、每天背诵课文中的对话，培养语感。

3、基本的语法教学一定要与语境相结合。

进行语法操练时，要坚持“四位一体”，即话题、语境、结构、功能相结合。抓住话题，联系语境，确定语法结构，明确语法功能(交际功能)。要重视语法知识对于培养语言运用功能的基础作用，又要注重改革教法。课堂上一定要有生动活泼的教学活动。

4、进一步培养阅读能力和写作能力。

阅读和写作能力的培养是英语教学的又一重点。阅读和写作能力的培养在于平时。教师在平时讲解阅读理解题时，应着力帮助学生分析语言材料，而不是核对答案;平常应该多写作文。

5、做好学困生转化和优秀生培养工作。

7、作业布置要做到数量适中，批阅及时，对出现的问题要跟踪矫正，认真讲评，尽量面批面改。提高练习质量，要精选资料。

六、教研课题

《浅谈英语阅读能力的培养》

措施：用新的教学理念指导英语阅读教学，进一步改变教法和学法，培养学生对英语阅读的兴趣，提高学生的英语阅读能力，提高英语教学效果。

1、尝试通过各种形式的学习，例如复述课文、把课文改编成情景剧、阅读竞赛等活动，提高学生学习英语的兴趣，从而达到自主积累、综合运用英语的目的，并指导学生运用科学的方法记忆单词、阅读课文，取得事半功倍的效果。

2、通过信息技术与学科整合的手段，以课内为基础，增加课外阅读的量，指导学生借助信息手段和工具书理解文章基本内容的方法，提高学生的英语自学能力。

3、以复述课文、回答问题、判断正误、通过上下文线索猜词义为载体，培养学生的综合阅读技能，提高学生的英语阅读理解能力。

There are many kinds of sports that I enjoy, such as swimming, basketball,travelling and so on. However, my favorite sport is running.In my mind,it is a good activities for people to keep healthy and relieve the pressure. After busy studying,i usually run on the playground,and i think thats the most wonderful time in a day.I love this sport since im 4,but at that time i only run for fun without any purpose.Its different now.Running has become a essential part in my life.I love running,and i ll keep running.

All the people want to stay in good health. Health is better than wealth.

It is true that health is the first step to success. Imagine this, if you’re

sick, all you can do is to stay in bed and do nothing at all, how can you chase

after your dreams?But if you’re in good health, you can overcome the adversities

you ever encounter and make your dreams come true. Since health is so important

for everybody, how can we maintain and enhance our health? There are some useful

suggestions:

First of all, we should lead to a regular life. Early to bed and early to

rise makes a healthy man. Do not stay up late. Some people love to play cell

phones games or reading electronic-books before sleep, this can be bad for the

health. We should remember to turn off the phones before sleep. Second, don’t be

too particular about food. Try to eat more fruit and vegetables and less sugars

and soft drinks. If you want to eat a bar of chocolate, eat an apple instead. If

you want to drink milk tea or coffee, drink water instead. Don’t eat too much

meat in one week. Last but not least, we should do exercise everyday. There are

many exercises for us to choose. Such as, swimming, jogging, square dancing,

playing badminton and so on. Doing exercise can increase the circulation of

blood and enhance our immune system. The one who in better immune system, the

less disease he will have.

In conclusion, if we pay close attention to our health, we can avoid

getting sick. Try to sleep earlier, eat more fruit and vegetable, drink more

water, and do exercise everyday. You will realize that it’s not that hard to

stay in good health.

The Chinese people, in their drinking of tea, place much significance on

the act of savoring. Savoring tea is not only a way to discern good tea from

mediocre tea, but also how people take delight in their reverie and in

tea-drinking itself. Snatching a bit of leisure from a busy schedule, making a

kettle of strong tea, securing a serene space, and serving and drinking tea by

yourself can help banish fatigue and frustration, improve your thinking ability

and inspire you with enthusiasm. You may also imbibe it slowly in small sips to

appreciate the subtle allure of tea-drinking, until your spirits soar up and up

into a sublime aesthetic realm. Buildings, gardens, ornaments and tea sets are

the elements that form the ambience for savoring tea. A tranquil, refreshing,

comfortable and neat locale is certainly desirable for drinking tea. Chinese

gardens are well known in the world and beautiful Chinese landscapes are too

numerous to count. Teahouses tucked away in gardens and nestled beside the

natural beauty of mountains and rivers are enchanting places of repose for

people to rest and recreate themselves.China is a country with a time-honored

civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum. Whenever guests visit, it is

necessary to make and serve tea to them. Before serving tea, you may ask them

for their preferences as to what kind of tea they fancy and serve them the tea

in the most appropriate teacups. In the course of serving tea, the host should

take careful note of how much water is remaining in the cups and in the kettle.

Usually, if the tea is made in a teacup, boiling water should be added after

half of the cup has been consumed; and thus the cup is kept filled so that the

tea retains the same bouquet and remains pleasantly warm throughout the entire

course of tea-drinking. Snacks, sweets and other dishes may be served at tea

time to complement the fragrance of the tea and to allay ones hunger.

Among the four seasons in the year, my favorite season is autumn. In

autumn, the weather is very comfortable. It feels so great after the hot summer.

Therefore, I like going outside for hiking in autumn. I can enjoy the beautiful

scenery of nature. Besides, autumn is a season of harvest. Farmers are busy with

their farm work. After such long time of hardworking, its time for them to

enjoy their fruits of labor. After the harvest, they are going to prepare for

the new year. Therefore, harvest means a lot to the farmers, because it is able

to bring a good new year to farmers.

Computer is a very useful machine. Some of them are big, but some of them

are very small .Many people like playing computer. Computer has many functions,

so that people can do a lot of things by computer, like watching movies,

listening to the music or playing games. It can make our lives very colorful and

convenient. Various people can make good use of computer. Children can use

computer to learn and play games. Parents can use computers to work. I think

computer is a kind of wonderful and interesting machine, so I like computer very

much.

As it’s known to all, China is popular for its emperor of bicycles. This is

because our country is still a developing country and few people can afford

private cars. The demand for a means of transport is met by making millions of

bicycles available.

Riding a bicycle has a lot of advantages over driving a car. First, it is a

physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the car, one tends

to gain weight. Besides, it is much more economical to ride a bike than drive a

car. On the one hand, the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is the annual tax.

However, the annual fees for a car are costly. On the other hand, a bike neednt

be equipped with a parking lot, but a car must. Most important of all, it is

beneficial to the environment to ride a bicycle because the bike doesnt consume

petrol; it is a pollution-free transport. In contrast, the exhaust released by

the car is harmful to the environment.

Since China is a developing country with a large population, bicycles will

still be the most popular means of transport in China for quite a long time.

Most people will still ride bicycles to go to work or to school. The emperor

country of bicycles will remain for at least dozens of years.

After I go to school, teachers always tell me to study hard, so that I can

be the excellent student. But now I have grown up, I have my own idea. The

reason for me to study hard is to return my parents’ love. When they are old, I

can make a lot of money and let them have a better life.

Nowadays university graduates have different job outlooks. For most of them, to find a job with satisfactory pay is their most important wish while majority want to be self – employed. However, a certain number of graduates are not in a hurry to hunt for jobs. They are just waiting for better chances. Toward this point of view, some experts warn that it is not wise to be just waiting. They advise that graduates should find a regular, full-time job as quickly as possible so that they can earn money to support themselves and get working experience, which will help to find a better position later. Moreover, it might be more difficult to find a satisfactory job next year.

Last week, our school held an activity to the nursing house to visit the

old people. I was so excited to be a volunteer, because it was my first time to

join such big activity. When we got there, the old people were so happy to see

us. They smiled all the time. We brought them some fruit and presents, and they

were so moved. When we chatted face in face, they talked about the old times and

the happiness they had. I thought about my grandparents, who lived in the

hometown. I should spend more time with them. Being a volunteer is such a

precious experience for me.
