It was fine today, Lily and I went to visit the Science Museum. It is about

two kilometers away from our homes, so we decided to go there by bike. We set

off at 8 oclock. At the museum we saw a lot of interesting things. We could

At half past eleven we left the museum for home. We enjoyed ourselves in

First, they are inventing ways such as job sharing and telecommuting to ensure that personal life does not take a back seat to career. Second, they are setting priorities and living those hours outside the workplace to their fullest. In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

Trees are an important kind of natural resources. Some of them, such as those fruit trees, can provide us with some food we need in our daily life while others may serve as indispensible raw materials. Our houses, furniture, paper are all produced out of trees.

Trees also play an important role in improving our environment. On the one hand, they can take in carbon dioxide but discharge oxygen for us; on the other hand, they can prevent soil erosion effectively.

Trees are so beneficial to our life that we are supposed to protect and plant more trees. Only in this way can our life become more convenient and the air much fresher.

老师们，同学们，大家好，我们是来自初一九班的张影和李雨亭，今天我演讲的题目是“冬季长跑好处多”。

俗话说“冬训吃一年”，这是体育业内人非常重视的训练阶段。在民间利用寒冷的冬天进行长跑活动更是人们喜闻乐见的体育项目。为了让同学们更多的掌握长跑的知识，更好的参加长跑运动，我们在此向同学们介绍冬季长跑的有关知识。

通过长跑可以调节神经中枢的兴奋与抑制合理的交替转换，避免神经思维中枢紧张过度，消除大脑的疲劳，提高学习效益，提高记忆力；在低温下长跑可以刺激、激活肌体的保护性反应，调节大脑体温中枢的功能；长跑还可以促进血液循环，加速脑部的血量，供给大脑更多的氧和营养物质，使大脑清醒，思维能力敏捷，神经系统功能的改善，可以提高和完善对各器官、系统的控制和调节能力。

长跑运动可以增强心脏肌肉收缩的力量，提高血液中红血球携带氧的能力，可以使血管粗壮有弹性，可以激活淋巴细胞提高人体的免疫功能。在长跑运动时由于需求氧的量成倍增多，呼吸次数及深度也随之增加，经常进行长跑就能有效的提高呼吸肌力量，加大肺泡的通气量，从而提高了肺活量。

人体的运动系统是由骨骼、关节、肌肉组成，经常参加长跑运动，提高关节的灵活性；有效的提高肌肉的力量和耐力。

冬季长跑可以重新塑造完美体形、体态长跑属于有氧代谢运动，在运动中需要大量的氧和营养物质来供给人体运动的需要，在运动中多余的脂肪被消耗掉就能使得原本臃肿肥胖的体形得到改善，达到重新塑造体形的效果。

在冬季长跑中由于受到季节温度和环境的影响会遇到很多的困难，如天气寒冷，空气干燥都是对人在跑步时形成的自然困难因素，在这样的环境中锻炼一方面在锻炼体质，另一方面也是对人的意志品质的锻炼。

冬季长跑是一项锻炼身体的好运动，我们只有采用科学的方法进行锻炼，才能得到良好的锻炼效果。希望广大同学积极行动起来，投身到冬季长跑活动中来。

material in the class is the textbook, which is reasonable. But I think we can

get some other resources, such as English magazines, songs, movies and so on. We

can learn the basic knowledge from out textbook, and get some more from other

I like to play basketball very much. I will ask my friends to play match every week. Yao Ming is my favorite basketball player. He is so great, he not only plays so well, but also has the fans from all around the world. I fall in love with basketball because of Yao. Though he is retired, he is still the great idol in my heart.
