The Lunar New Year  a great occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first four days of the year， during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school， and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year， people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs， sheep， cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fh and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

On the eve of the new year， each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock strickes twelve. 我是一名幸运儿，因祖上三代无女孩出生，我的到来为这个四代同堂的家庭增添了无限的喜气。八十高龄的曾祖母整个乐得合不拢嘴，聪明乖巧的我是全家的掌上明珠。到了读书的年龄，自然跨进了校门。在那动乱的年代，大字不识的父亲经常对儿女说的一句话是“万般皆下品，唯有读书高。”善良正直的父亲不知好好读书将来能有什么出息，但他的这一番教诲终于得到了回报，我高中毕业，恰好赶上恢复高中。当时，我的愿望是当一名教书育人的园丁，却意外地被卫校录取，成了一名护士，从此，燕尾帽伴随我走过了二十个春秋。

人们把护士喻为白衣天使，我也怀着救死扶伤，当一名白衣天使的美好愿望走上了工作岗位。但现实很快将天使的梦击得粉碎，从踏进病房的一刻开始，老人的呻吟、小孩的哭声，意识丧失病人躁动不安的吼叫，汇成了病房特殊交响乐。特别是那些昏迷病人及生活不能自理病人的大、小便臭气熏天，令人作呕。当我满心欢喜准备给一位女病人输液时，听到的一句话是“我的血管难打，叫一个老护士来”，常常将我一天的好心情扫得一干二净。一次，我给一位男病人作肌肉注射，刚准备进针，病人紧张得一下跳起来，针差点扎在我手上。面对挑剔的病人，如果输液不能一针见血，病人张口就骂“水平太差了，换一个护士来。”特别是给病人料理大便，脏臭难闻，每当想起时令人吃饭难以下咽¨¨¨

面对这一切，天使的信念在动摇，但有一件事却使我重新认识了自己所从事的职业，那是在一个清晨，我像往常一样有点麻木的推着治疗车走进病房发药，我们科一个快要退休的`老护士正在为一名神志不清的病人更换大便污染的床、被套、衣裤，用毛巾为病人擦洗被大便污染的皮肤，神情是那么的专注，动作是那么轻柔，没有一句怨言，燕尾帽下闪着天使般慈爱的目光，同室的其它病人不约而同都露出了赞许的眼神。事后，病人家属感动地拉着她的手，说了好多感激的话。这件事对我触动很大，我开始认识到自己工作的意义和价值。在这特殊的环境里，我们每天所面对的是各种各样的病人，他们的健康需要我们的付出，当他们失去生活自理能力的时候，需要我们的关心帮助，才能使他们生活得更有尊严，从不健康走向健康。人们常说，医生是一朵红花，护士只是一片绿叶，但我认为：红花如果缺少了绿叶的衬托，它的美就缺了生机。
