Thank you for taking the time to write your wonderful letter in support of MCEA (Maywood Chinese Education Association). Your letter clearly articulates all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese language as part of their elementary school education. It provides invaluable support that will help making bilingual Chinese education a reality in Maywood public schools.

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest. Nevertheless, MCEA, with more than 70 members, will continue to actively promote bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you apprised of the progress we make.

When I first saw this movie I didnt appreciate it like I do now. Because I was so young that I didnt get the main idea when I first saw it. Just recently I saw the movie again. What an amazing and moving story. That movie teaches you so much about life and the meaning of it. That life isnt as bad as most people feel. Forrest Gump, the innocent man can impact so many lives with his innocence. The meaning of the movie to me is that everyone needs to have a better outlook on life. That we need to appreciate more of the little things and not let the big things hold us back. Although life may throw us trials and tribulations like a box of chocolates, we just have to bite into it and get through it even if we dont like it. I just love this movie. You always arrive at the classroom ahead of any of the students, from which we could imply that you are a diligent man with regular habit. Before the class, you like to talk to us, at this very time, you are more a friend than a teacher. To be honest, I was surprised in the first class when I learned a teacher at your age could speak English in such a fluent way.(I didnt mean you are old, youre young at heart.) Moreover, you know well how to keep your class attractive. Youve got such an active mind that you can keep talking during the whole class without a pause. I always appreciated your ideas and enjoyed listening to you. In your class, I learned not only the writing skills but also the presentation skills as well as much knowledge of other areas. 在阳光明媚、初夏来临的季节，我们迎来了又一个"5.12"国际护士节。今天，当我们又一次团聚在自己的节日里，我们每个人的心中都涌动着一股无言的欣喜：因为我们有幸成为一名白衣天使，成为护理战线上朝气蓬勃的生力军。

自从护理先驱南丁格尔女士提着一盏小马灯点燃生命之光，使我们拥有一个共同的名字——‘白衣天使’。是我们用勤劳的双手和博大的爱心，让无数的人们认可了我们的工作，‘天使’的背后却有着鲜为人知的苦和累，众所周知，我们的工作辛苦，没有双休日的概念，而且是冬冷夏热的三班倒工作，生物钟紊乱。每天在白色的病房里奔波，年复一年重复着单调枯燥的工作;在白班夜班的频繁交替中，我们走过了清纯的少女时代，脸上刻下了岁月的痕迹;节假日远离外面的欢声笑语和亲人的守望，坚守在病房。虽然我们平时做的是一件件微不足道的小事，而且还会碰到委屈和不理解，但是每当抢救危重病人成功，从患者家属脸上的笑容，我体会到一种满足，从病人来时的愁容满脸，到走时的眉开笑意中，我找到了自己的价值，我体会到了平凡中的伟大，选择了这一行，我无怨无悔!

有人说，急诊科的工作最脏，最累，这些我们都有可以克服，最让我们感觉委屈的是病人的责难，记得那天是我科一个姓夏的姐妹在上夜班，当时来了个醉酒如泥的患者，脾气异常暴躁，陪他的人给他仅仅挂个号之后就离开了，值班护士小夏不仅要帮他取药缴费，而且还要给他端盆接呕吐物，给他输液送药时他大发雷霆，躁狂之下，砸碎了我们科的窗玻璃，还一拳打在了小夏的身上。对于这些，小夏没有丝毫抱怨，没有退缩，更没有不理不睬，而是擦掉委屈的泪水，主动寻找办法帮助，嘘寒问暖，悉心照料，第二天，病人清醒后，主动向小夏承认了自己错误。

表达了深深歉意，并感谢昨夜她的辛苦陪伴。比大地更广阔的是海洋，比海洋更广阔的是天空，比天空更广阔的是心灵，作为一名护士，我们要拥有博大的胸怀，纵使受了委屈，我们的脸上依然挂着灿烂的微笑，我们知道：这微笑是阳光，能减轻病人的疼痛;这微笑是雨露，能滋润患者的心灵;这微笑是翅膀，承载了千万个家庭健康平安的希望!

Today is X month XX day, this evening is the eve of the new years Eve, open the TV on the Spring Festival Gala. There are so many programs, singing, dancing, sketches, crosstalk, acrobatics … … among them, my favorite program is magic Louis Liu.

During these days, people would say "happy new year! or wh you make fortune! to each other. They would also vit their relatives and friends. Children would be given "red packets". Children would have more to eat and play than usual.Playing firecrackers  also a popular game for children.

People are happy when the Spring Festival comes, but do you know the origin of Spring Festival? If you dont know, just listen to me.

Legend has it that in the ancient times, there was a vicious monster, a large body, a horn with horns, and a big mouth. This monster is called nian.

At that time, there were two children, ashan and water. They were good friends. They were very brave. They often drove their cattle to the hillside to eat grass. The family said to them: "there is a year in the mountains.

The Spring Festival finhes at the Lantern Festival after two weeks.People usually eat a kind of rice dumpling called yuanxiao.It can take people good luck all the year round.

Last Saturday,with all my classmates and teachers,I went on a trip to the nature park .We departed from school at about half past seven and spent about 40 minutes travelling to our destination.When we first entered into the park,all of us were shocked by the natural beauty and the hamonized ecosystem of the park.Then,happily we were playing games on the sand; swimming in the pool and taking with our friends on the grassplot.After lunch break,our programs were continued with an contest of story narating held and each of us was immerging within the funny stories We left the part at about 5 oclock,and unitl now,most of us are still haunted by the beautiful memory of that trip.

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day

for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act

a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they

are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The

younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or

fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones

even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that

night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the

side of the bed.

On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the

light at two oclock,and most of them are awake by six oclock although it is

not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children

look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At

about one oclock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey

or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new

coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating

until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

Halloween always falls on 31 October. It is a holiday for children. On that day, children always wear fancy clothes and masks. And then, they go from house to house to say "Trick or Treat", so that people will treat them with candies. If they don’t receive any candies, theyll play a trick on people. But sometimes if the people are going out, when the children come, theyll put the candies in a carved pumpkin lanterns. Children will take the candies themselves. All of the children enjoy this holiday very much.
