据国家体育总局游泳运动管理中心主任刘大庆介绍，今年是举办全民游泳健身周活动的第四年，各地申报活动站点的数量和规模再创新高。截至目前，已报名的共有31个省(市区)的453个县市的650多个活动站点，其中包括15个全国重点会场、公开水域游泳243个站点、游泳池馆408个站点。

“今年游泳周的活动时间跨度长、站点覆盖地域广、社会组织踊跃，预计今年活动期间，直接参与游泳健身的群众在百万人以上，影响和带动数千家游泳场馆和上百个江、河、湖、海水域开展群众游泳活动。”刘大庆说。

据介绍，今年游泳健身周全国启动日主会场活动将于7月8日在山东省蓬莱市海滨浴场举行，全国主会场活动将于7月16日在湖北省武汉市武昌汉门举行。期间，在北京、河北邯郸、内蒙古呼伦贝尔海拉尔等13个城市将举办全国重点会场活动。

本次游泳健身周活动共有6项内容，涉及到科普、公益等多领域。其中包括：在江、河、湖、海开展的公开水域游泳活动、在游泳池(馆)开展的“海豚”游泳达标活动、青少年游泳普及活动、公益惠民游泳健身服务活动、游泳和救生志愿服务活动以及游泳健身宣传活动。

记者还了解到，本次活动设有突出贡献奖、优秀组织奖及优秀站点奖等奖项，各站点的组织者、参与者可以登陆中国游泳协会“泳者在线”微信公众平台进行大众投票。

“今年是中国游泳改革、创新、发展的关键年，希望游泳运动能为全民健康、为健康中国发挥独特作用。”刘大庆说。
