2016年7月16日是毛泽东同志畅游武汉长江50周年纪念日。今天上午，在东丽湖举办了2016年“7.16全民游泳健身周”(天津站)公开水域畅游活动。

本次活动由国家体育总局群众体育司、中国游泳协会、中国救生协会、天津市体育局指导，天津市游泳运动管理中心、天津市游泳运动协会主办，天津天海风水上休闲运动俱乐部有限公司承办。

400余名游泳爱好者今天齐聚东丽湖，这些人来自天津市各类群众游泳组织，都常年坚持游泳活动。并且他们通过集体报名，组织方都为他们上了保险，且提供救生浮球，确保了参赛运动员的安全。

在东丽湖中，划出了800米的游泳区域，按每组30至50人，分组依次循环下水和上岸。在参加活动的游泳爱好者中，不仅有成年人，还有不到10岁的孩子，他们在教练的带领下，同样能游得相当好，一点不熟大人。

据了解，在7月10日至7月24日期间，还将组织天津市游泳运动协会场馆委员会会员单位的36个游泳馆，分别举办面向全市个人游泳爱好者的2016“7.16’全民游泳健身周”《全国游泳锻炼等级达标》游活动，对达到锻炼标准的个人免费发放中国游泳协会统一印制的《全国游泳锻炼等级标准》达标证书。

8月8日是第八个全民健身日，为鼓励和引导广大居民群众积极参加体育健身活动，养成良好的体育锻炼习惯，8月3日—5日，铁桥社区组织开展了以“ 创新、俭朴、务实、惠民”为主题的“全民健身日”系列活动。
