对于他的这个重大发现，人们给予了很高的`评价和很多荣誉。但也有人对此不以为然，认为这没有什么了不起，话中经常流露出讽刺。

一次，朋友在哥伦布家中作客，谈笑中又提起了他航海的事情，哥伦布听了，只是淡淡一笑，并不与大家争辩。

他起身来到厨房，拿出一个鸡蛋对大家说：“谁能把这个鸡蛋竖起来?”

大家一哄而上，这个试试，那个试试，结果都失败了。“看我的。”哥伦布轻轻地把鸡蛋一头敲破，鸡蛋就竖立起来了。

“你把鸡蛋敲破了，当然能够竖起来呀!”有人不服气地说。

“现在你们看到我把鸡蛋敲破了，才知道没有什么了不起，”哥伦布意味深长地说：“可是在这之前，你们怎么谁都没有想到呢?”

过去讽刺哥伦布的人，脸一下子变得通红。

对于这个故事，我有与众不同的看法。

创新这个词，很多人把它看得太过神圣，仿佛必须在某个领域有了很重大的突破才叫创新;我却认为不是，只要做到了别人没有想到或没人去做的事就叫创新，不管这件事有多小。就像上面所说的故事一样。发现新大陆，在我们现在看来好像并不是件难事;别说新大陆，在这个科技时代，连发现另一个星球都不是难事。但在哥伦布的那个时代，又有多少人会去想地球上还有没有一块新大陆呢?哥伦布他去想了，并且付诸行动，才发现了新大陆，如果没有哥伦布这样勇于探索，执着追求的人，又要晚多少年，地球上才会有一个人去找寻这块新大陆呢?

很多人抱怨：过去，科技不发达，人们不了结的东西很多，所以才有很多可以创新，发掘的地方。而现在这个时代，科技如此发达，哪还有自己创新的地方?可是当人们看到别人取得突破，发现新东西时，就会无奈地叹息：原来能这样!我怎么没想到呢!愚蠢的人只会将有价值的事物看成是平凡的;而聪明的人总会从平凡的事物中找出有价值的东西。人们渴望着成功，渴望着梦想实现，却找不到突破口，有的人之所以无法创新，并不是因为能力问题，而是因为他们无法认真对待每一件小事。科学的探究是无止境的，供我们创新的地方很多，但是它们很多可能很普通，被我们看成“小事”，一次次地错过了;就好似那些不起眼的角落也能长出美丽的花朵一般，创新既容易也不容易，容易的是我们能找到很多创新的地方，就连那些最不被人们看好、令人不屑的地方也能作为创新的土壤，而不容易的是我们要全身心的，坚定的投入到研究中，用尽我们毕生所学，让这“土壤”上开出“花朵”。然而这过程中最难熬的不是一个个漫长的黑夜，一堆堆学术理论，因为在投入自己的乐趣，追逐梦想时，研究再苦，也是快乐的。最难熬的是他人的闲言碎语，它们往往会动摇人的决心。这时，我们可以学学袁隆平爷爷，当时他研究的杂交水稻并不被人看好，面对各种讥讽，他并没有放弃，而是更加热情的投入研究之中，最后终于发明了杂交水稻，解决了全球的粮食问题!所以在研究过程中，我们虽要多听他人见解，但面对恶意的嘲讽和诋毁，不用在意，要坚定自己的信念!

在日常生活中，创新从一个个小事做起。创新的意义在于打破常规，有与众不同的想法，并付诸实践。所以并不用刻意的去追求大突破，大突破也是由一个个小创新累积起来的。一个个小创新使我们取得大突破的必经之路，更是我们一步一步通往成功与梦想的垫脚石。

或许现在的我们对于世界来说，我们没做出创新，但对于我们自己来说，我们正不断创新，进步，超越自我。带着梦想向世界的舞台进发着!
