Last night, I went to my friend’s birthday party, I made some friends. We

When you walk around our school, you can see various flowers and trees

nice place for us to study.

Please look at the new building over there. Its our library that was

painted white again this year. It not only looks more beautiful, but also has

increasingly more books than before. Reading different kinds of books can

enhance our horizons and increase our knowledge. I still remember I entered the

school two years ago, the library was old enough and I always couldnt find my

favorite comic books. Therefore, I often complained to my classmates that the

What was even worse, as a member of school basketball team, my partners and

I had few chances to practice, as the playground was too small to play and full

of so many students after school. Luckily, I dont have to worry about that

anymore, because our playground is large enough for all of us to play games, and

My school has changed a lot, for it is more beautiful and modern. I love my

Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars completely replace the traditional ones. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. When talk about America, most people will think of the great buildings and

the lively parties, because the Hollywood movies present us the strongest

America. Whats more, the media always report how powerful America is and the

river. Not only the water is not clean any more, the river also smelt bad. I
