我们放眼街头，商业网点比比皆是，热闹非凡，公路上车水马龙，一座座高楼大厦拔地而起，城市居民的生活和住房条件都有了明显改善，每个小区里都有草有花，有老人们休闲娱乐的场所。孩子们也能坐在宽敞明亮的教室里上课，不再有寒冷之忧。

随着医疗制度的改革，使“人人享有基本医疗服务”成为可能。许多居民家庭没有后顾之忧，不再害怕得病，居民们更加关注自己的身心健康。

改革开放以来，我国城市的经济贸易和社会活动日益繁忙，城市交通发生了前所未有的迅速增长。现在的公交车线路布满了全国的每个城市，私家车也越来越多，泥泞的小路都变成了条条柏油马路，人们出差旅游随心所欲，飞机火车方便快捷。

更让我切身感受的是，爷爷奶奶经常说，你们现在是神仙过得日子了。还要经常去吃什么“肯德基”，过去他们常年吃的是窝头，咸菜，遇到灾荒，粮食减产，还不够吃呢!到了我爸爸这一代饭虽是能糊上口了，但是菜主要是萝卜，白菜。市里一个月每个人只供应250克肉，平常不舍得吃，逢年过节或家里来客人，才舍得弄一点儿尝尝!如今我们每天不仅能吃饱饭、吃好饭、吃出花样来，还讲究营养和环保呢!爸爸也经常说，过去做梦都想要一部“BB”机，现在连小学生都用起了手机，真是时代进步了。

但是，道路并不是一帆风顺的。只要我们团结起来，万众一心，用我们的血肉筑成我们新的长城，任何大灾大难都瞎不到我们。只要我们努力学习，就不怕攀不到世界的顶峰。

2008年8月8日的晚上第29届奥运会开幕了。它让许多外国人大开眼界。是我们中国人的骄傲。

这次奥运会的筹办，北京花了大量的心血从体育馆到任何一个关于奥运的地方都认认真真的把它们做完善，不会输给任何一届奥运会。人们也积极的参加活动，志愿者更是数不胜数，老年人也学英语，好给外国人指指路，各个举办城市也是努力做到最好，不给祖国丢脸。

通过这次奥运会，中国充分向世界展示它的强大，告诉世界：中国不像以前了！1949年前的中国，整天有战争，反抗日本、抗美援朝，人民死伤无数。但是今天，我们的经济腾飞、科技发达，不像以前。全中国人民也是合家欢乐，遵守“八荣八耻”和“七不”争做文明的市民。

20**已经来了，又是一年过去了。201*年我们上海将举办世博会，又会是一个热闹的日子，我们会让外国人再次竖起大拇指！经历怎么多的念年头，中国有了许多的留学生，外国人也络绎不绝地来到中国的各个地方学习。

祖国将迎来60岁的生日，这说明从党建立以来，祖国经历了60年的风风雨雨，让我们在这祝福它吧，伟大的祖国！
