I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.

Mr Sun was a middle-aged teacher. He was full of sense of humour. We all liked him very much because of his excellent teaching. His lessons were usually very lively and interesting.We all liked to attend his class. He was an experienced teacher.

[初三优秀英语作文：A Sad Story

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. it falls on the twenty- fifth of december and has the same importance as chinese new year to people with english backgrounds. the celebration is for the birth of jesus christ, who is the son of god in christianity. now days christmas is no longer only celebrated by the christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of december everyone gets excited for it’s the day before christmas which is called christmas eve. the children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “santa claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” the younger kids actually believe that santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. food like short bread and beer are prepared for santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on christmas morning! the children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. present wrappers everywhere! they look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….i hope no one’s disappointed. i feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. the christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. the tradition of christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. the rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

我的英语老师唯一的爱好就是跳江南styl，他喜欢笑，讲起课来很随意，讲着课随便都可以插入5分钟的笑话，或者不经意间就和同学们聊起天来，所以他整个人看起来很随和，同学们都喜欢他的课，因为在他的课堂上总是乱七八糟的。

我也不例外，我特别喜欢上英语课，当然喜欢英语课的另外一个原因是我的英语成绩还不错。有一天上英语晚自习的时候，英语老师组织同学们考试，先交完试卷的同学们可以自己干自己的事情，他要求同学们不要说话就行，于是我拿出一张纸，在上边画上两只小猪，用英语在旁边标注着英文两只小猪的对话，写完后我居然大胆的在纸上边用铅笔标注着英语老师的名字。当我拿着自己的杰作开心的给同桌看时，居然被我那小气的同桌给告发了。

我知道自己闯了祸，像一个犯了错的罪人一样顿时立在自己的座位旁边不敢出声。还好老师给我面子，没当着全班同学的面数落我，让我和同桌跟着他去办公室谈，他让我写份检讨拿给他，可当我第二他拿给他检讨的时候他看也没看一眼，告诉我说下不为例，果真是宰相肚里能撑船，多么随和的一个人，他大人不记，我这个小人自然就好过了。

说到元宵节，大家的脑海里一定会浮现出这样几副画面：一碗碗白白嫩嫩的汤圆让人垂涎三尺;一盏盏明亮的灯笼;一阵阵震耳欲聋的鞭炮声。

最让我着迷的还是观灯。观灯这个风俗还有一段历史故事。西汉，汉武帝是一位信佛的皇帝。他听说寺庙在元宵节这一天应该点灯拜佛，观佛舍利。于是，他命令在这一天寺庙和宫殿都要点灯拜佛，命令老百姓在这一天也要挂上红灯笼。然后，这个佛教风俗慢慢地在民间盛行起来。

这次元宵节，我们一家一起去赏灯。啊!刚到那里，我就被眼前的景象惊住了。树梢上、柱子上、屋檐下到处都挂满了五颜六色的灯笼，一眼望不到边。

你瞧，这边的大白兔啊，竖着两只长长的大耳朵，警惕地盯着前方，好像发现了什么可疑的目标。你看，那儿的灯笼一律做成圆形，远远望去，像熟透了的苹果，让人们忍不住想咬上几口。你再望望那边的小猴，他用四肢紧紧地抱住一个粉红色的大桃子足足与他的头一般大。它不就是正在偷吃蟠桃的孙悟空吗!这个大仙桃一定是他准备留给他的伙伴们吃的。他肯定是怕王母娘娘发现，要不为什么这么紧张呢?这里的灯笼成千上百、琳琅满目，有些完全形容不上来。我完全被这些精美的灯笼吸引住了。它们做工如此精巧，完全到了炉火纯青的境界。这一盏盏小小的灯笼凝聚了手艺人多少智慧与心血啊!

贝贝，快来看!妈妈的叫声把我拉回了现实。我连忙加快脚步追了上去。原来，这儿有猜灯谜呀。我也拿了一个读了起来孔雀收屏(打一三国人物)，这可难不倒我，这个谜底是关羽。

就这样，元宵节活动在大家的欢声笑语中结束了。

正月十五是中国的传统节日——元宵节。在这天，人们会出去赏灯、赏月、猜灯谜等。在宁波，家家户户还会吃汤圆，以示在这年里生活会团团圆圆，甜甜蜜蜜。

“火树银花合，星桥铁锁开。”这是古人描写元宵夜的诗句。虽然，今晚是个阴天，看不到“星桥开锁”的景象，但天公还算作美，连续半个月的雨天，居然在今天停止了下雨，仿佛也知晓人间有个佳节似的。趁着天晴，爸爸赶紧带上我出去到外面感受我们宁波元宵夜的美丽和气氛。

我们首先来到了三江口。本来就非常美丽的三江口，因为灯光的渲染变得格外的迷人。红的，蓝的，绿的，紫的……各种各样颜色的灯光投射到水面上，变成一道道五彩斑斓的彩虹，随着波浪晃动着。岸边，披满了霓虹灯的高楼大厦，正像魔术师一般变化着炫目的色彩和图像，一会儿变成一只蝴蝶飞舞在夜空中，一会儿变成一条鲤鱼跳跃在高楼上……。在岸边的人们，纷纷拿着手机拍摄着这美丽的夜景。

接着，我们去了东鼓道。东鼓道里游玩的人们明显比往日多了许多，各家商铺的门口都张灯结彩的，一片喜庆。吃的，玩的，买衣服的人群都挤满了各自的店门，我也乘机敲了下爸爸的“竹杠”，让他给我卖了我已馋了好久的冰激凌。

顺着东鼓道，我们到了鼓楼。哇!鼓楼更是更加的热闹和拥挤!车水马龙，人山人海的。沿街都挂满了一串串的大红灯笼和中国结，人们手上也提满了各式各样的小灯笼，随着拥挤的人潮一闪一闪的，像极了晴天的星空。到处都是音乐声，欢笑声，叫卖声……热闹无比。而我，又懒在糖画铺门口不走了……

不知不觉中，时间过得好快，一下到了九点多，我只好带着依依不舍的心情跟爸爸回家了。在回家车上，窗外的街道依旧灯火灿烂，不时还有漂亮的烟花升起。
