Turtles do not lay eggs like other animal mothers. They hide eggs in sand to prevent other animals from stealing them. It#39;s really a kind mother. Their nests are even more peculiar. Other animals#39;nests are piled up with sand or made a hole in the land, while turtles make a hole in the sea floor. One month after the birth of the baby turtle, the mother of the turtle will no longer take care of her babies, but let them live on their own, let them learn to grow up.

星期天，奶奶从乡下到我家来，顺便给我带来了几个可爱的小生命——泥螺。

泥螺的外壳是淡黄色半透明的，我隐隐约约看见泥螺壳里有一些小灰点儿。我小心翼翼地把这些小生命安置在装着清水的玻璃瓶里。

放学后，我去看望它们。只见大部分泥螺静静地呆在玻璃瓶底，好像在睡觉。有一只泥螺用吸盘紧紧地吸住玻璃瓶的边沿，好像怕有人来把它抓走似的。不一会儿，它悄悄地把肉质的小脑袋从壳中伸出来，只见脑袋上长着两根细小的触须，这大概是用来分辨方向 的吧。触须下长着一双透明的像小米粒大的眼睛，真有趣。只见它的小脑袋慢慢地左右转动，好像在窥视有没有敌人来伤害 自己 。过了一会儿，它没发现什么危险，便放心地从透明的外壳中抽出了土黄色肉质的小身躯，缓慢地左右扭动，好像是“迪斯科”的慢动作 。这个小生命生活得多么悠闲 啊！

好几天了，我一直没给泥螺喂吃的，没想到它们竟活得好好的。我问爸爸：“泥螺吃什么呀？”爸爸说：“它吃水中的微生物，能使水变清洁，你可不能小看它啊！”我恍然大悟，怪不得有人叫它清水泥螺，原来它还是令人尊敬的“水中清洁工”啊！

我到林中的小路上散步，夏日黄昏的阳光金灿灿、亮晶晶的，透过茂密的叶缝斑斑驳驳地撒了下来，如同天女的长发一样柔和、温暖、美丽。路边的小草绿绿的、绒绒的，散发着沁人心脾的、淡淡的幽香；红的、黄的、白的野花顽皮地这儿露一下头，那绽开一个笑脸，一簇簇、一丛丛，开得很热闹。在这充满诗意的林间小路上走着，让我不禁想起了世外桃园……

忽然，从林叶间传来一阵阵清脆、欢快的鸟鸣声，那鸣声悠远、动听，就像是森林里的歌唱家在浅唱低吟。我不禁被那鸟鸣声吸引过去了，走着走着，我终于看到了那位“歌唱家”：它的样子像洋娃娃一样可爱，一双乌黑乌黑的小眼睛里闪烁着灵动的光芒，歪着小小的脑袋，仿佛在向我示威：“听，我唱得是不是特别动听”。

它的羽毛如黑缎子般在夏日阳光的照耀下发出耀眼的光芒；小爪子是棕色的，上面有许许多多的纹路；嘴巴是土黄色的，时不时发出啁啾声，显得那么小巧可爱。它歪着头好奇地看着我，竟不怕人般一蹦一跳的向我走来，我感到很惊奇，也向它走去。谁知走着走着，它就扇着那小巧玲珑的翅膀飞到我的肩膀上，用灵巧的小爪子抓住我，等站稳后就用尖尖的小嘴轻轻地啄了一下我的脸，弄得我痒痒的，忍不住笑出声来。正当我要和它亲热亲热时，它却飞走了。它飞到天上，把天上的云朵都做成了各种各样、姿态万千的“雕塑”；它像闪电一样从天边划过，似流星，又像瞬间彩虹一样在天边跳着舞。

我不知道那只鸟去了哪里，也不知道它是一只什么鸟，但我知道那并不是一只普通的鸟。如果世界上真有这样一只鸟儿那该多好啊！
