The New Year is coming and this term has finished. Now, I can enjoy a happy

With the development of industry, water pollution is becoming more serious now. The polluted water not only kills fish, it is also harmful to our health. Many people get sick because they drink the polluted water. In some rivers the water is so dirty that they can even kill plants.

We should fight against the pollution. We should stop using harmful things. I wish it is not a dream that in the near future we can have clean rivers again.

Environment Protection

Nowadays, peoples life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.

Why this? Our country has a large area of forest. However, not until recently did the government begin to realize the importance of protecting the forest. Pollution: a Social Problem

When we read newspapers, we often come across the word pollution. This word was not familiar to the people some decades ago. But now, it is a serious threat to usbecause. it means the poisoning of the air, seas, rivers and lands, which would do harm to our health.

There are many factories that bring pollution to us. We can not have fresh air in the morning. This is mainly because of the poisonous smoke coming from factories, especially chemical ones. In rivers, seas and oceans, there are industrial wastes. Some factories just throw their wastes into seas or let them flow into rivers. When people drink the water from such rivers, they get poisoned. Besides, there is rubbish from ships and when sometimes an accident occurs in an ocean, oil flows out from tankers.

On land, the accumulation of rubbish in the streets may dirty the city and ruin our health. This is mainly due to the improper disposal of rubbish by people.

If we do mot fight against pollution, surely one day all of us will be killed. Some people like to put the blame on the industrial revolutions. On the contrary, the pollution problem will be solved only with the help of modem science and technology.

土豆价格低廉，味道鲜美，故为大众所爱，成为百姓家中的常客。记得有一次，我非常想吃土豆，就去市场买了三个大土豆回来，炒好之后装了满满一大碗，转眼就个我吃个精光，连汤都没剩下，把一旁的`妈妈惊得目瞪口呆!

土豆营养丰富，味道鲜美，单吃土豆要注意以下三点：一是吃土豆要削皮;而是土豆不能生吃，因为土豆含有大量的淀粉，生吃不易消化;三是发芽或发青的土豆不能吃，因为这样的土豆含有大量的龙葵素，龙葵素在未发芽或发青的土豆里含量极少无法对人构成威胁，但在发芽或发青的土豆里，龙葵素的含量却比平常大大增加。人吃了发芽或发青的土豆，轻则出现头晕目眩、恶心呕吐等症状，所以千万不要吃发芽的土豆!

在云端翩翩起舞固然令人向往，但大千世界的芸芸众生又如何做得到?倒不如脚踏实地行走于地面。如我般凡夫俗子何必好高骛远?不如把握现在，脚踏实地的生活。

目标，要依实力而定。

远大的人生目标的确可以催人奋进，但倘若这是一个不切实际、永远无法到达的彼岸，却只能让人在旅途中屡遭失败。现实一点，针对自己的实际情况确定一个合适的目标，让自己付出努力后可以品尝成功的喜悦，而不会丧失对生活的信心。

拼搏，依体力而行。

其实人生的旅途漫长，它需要我们有强健的体魄去穿过几十载的光阴，去劈波斩浪，奋力前行。有时面对汹涌波涛，在你勇敢挑战之前，请冷静地思考一下：我能够战胜吗?倘若有几成把握，的确该放手一搏;如果心中根本没底或明知自己不行，就不妨激流勇退。“人为刀俎，我为鱼肉”之时，倒不如像刘备一样巧妙脱逃，以谋求日后更大的发展。“留得青山在，不怕没柴烧。”我们要量力而行，而不是呈一时之勇，以免落得头破血流的下场。

结果，要欣然接受。

很多时候，总听见身边的人抱怨：“我如果……就可以……”只可惜上天不会让时间倒流，面对成功亦或失败，我们要用平和的心态去接受;假想如何如何，只会徒增悔恨。坦然接受现实，从中总结经验，吸取教训，前事不忘，后事之师，才能吃一堑长一智。面对半杯水，与其哀叹“只有半杯了”，不如欣喜“还有半杯呢”。

哲学家维特根思坦说：“我贴在地面步行，不在云端跳舞。”成为世界首富，获得诺贝尔奖，或载入史册万古流芳，非我所能达到。于我，有切实的目标，尽可能拼搏进取，淡然看花开花落，脚踏实地，从从容容生活。

When I was very small, I lived in my hometown. My grandparents raised two

dogs, and I liked them very much. I watched them grow up from the little animals

to the big dogs. Every time when I leaved home for school, they would follow me

for some distance. When I walked a little far away, they would turn home. When I

went home after school, they would wait for me in the door and swayed their

tails. I knew they were welcoming me home. They were like my family members and

I learned that animals are part of our nature. We should protect them. We can

The golden fields are filled with this years grain bumper harvest.May be in this calm field,but came a uninvited guest:grasshopper.It is also known as locusts,will change the color of rice and change their own color,eating crops in the field.So the National Day holiday,I and my brother can not wait to come to the edge of the fields,line up sleeves, rolled up pants,rushed into the field, began to rectify the “pest”.

The fields are bouncing grasshopper everywhere,Gu got this only, and refused to take that only. The Chinese New Year has a great history. In our past, people lived in an agricultural society and worked all year long. They only took a break after the harvest and before the planting of seeds. This happens to coincide with the beginning of the lunar New Year.

The Chinese New Year is very similar to the Western one, rich in traditions, folklores and rituals. It has been said that it is a combination of the Western Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. This is hardly an exaggeration!

The origin of the Chinese New Year itself is centuries old - in fact, too old to actually be traced. It is popularly recognized as the Spring Festival and celebrations last 15 days.

Preparations tend to begin a month before the date of the Chinese New Year (similar to a Western Christmas). During this time people start buying presents, decoration materials, food and clothing. A huge clean-up gets underway days before the New Year, when Chinese houses are cleaned from top to bottom. This ritual is supposed to sweep away all traces of bad luck. Doors and windowpanes are often given a new coat of paint, usually red, then decorated with paper cuts and couplets with themes such as happiness, wealth and longevity printed on them.

The end of the New Year is marked by the Festival of Lanterns, which is a celebration with singing, dancing and lantern shows.

At the Festival, all traditions are honored. The predominant colors are red and gold. "Good Wish" banners are hung from the ceilings and walls. The "God of Fortune" is there to give Hong Baos. Lion dancers perform on stage continuously. Visitors take home plants and flowers symbolizing good luck. An array of New Years specialty food is available in the Food Market. Visitors purchase new clothing, shoes and pottery at the Market Fair. Bargaining for the best deal is commonplace!

笑看风云，不生气，都是很努力地笑，即使被女生拒绝，拿到50分的试卷，面对打过架的同学……因为深知“枝上柳绵吹又少，……”;每天倒计时去玩CS魔兽，心里头空空如也;明白倘若敌人让你生所，那说明你还没有胜他的把握……

嘴硬，爱吹牛，常说的话是：“你以你是我啊……”面对一大堆作业，总说不够做;面对一点思路也没有的题目，总说不够难;面对漂亮迷人的大自然盛景，总说这不是我家的后花园么?咋上这了……并努力让自已有幽默的气质，崇尚不经意的幽默。偶像是冯巩，梦想有一天做一个喜剧演员，令天下人都开怀大笑，在春节联欢会上给母亲拜年……

学会不去抱怨，只是去接受，并心存感激。知道一个男人要对得起那张嘴，不是大便拉过就完了，所以不再以取笑女生为乐。每天给自己打气，不少于20分钟，让自己充满活力。逐渐不逞强，做力所能及的事，因为知道倘若我不帮忙，人家恨我一个星期，若我帮得不好，人家会恨我一个月。原谅一切好人或坏人，并试着发现他们的优点。昂首阔步，不在意别人的评价，在意自己的所作所为……

与朋友在一起，玩CS魔兽时最开心，远离喧嚣，暂忘自己给的压力。犹如雏鹰，与蓝天搏击，与白云共舞;好似骏马，奋蹄原野，驰骋天下，好不快哉!

羡慕家人的团圆，企盼父亲早归;慨叹柯比的奇迹，梦想超过姚明;欣赏苏轼的洒脱，企盼才高八斗技压群雄;钦佩理查德的琴艺，企盼高山流水觅知音;赞叹欧阳询的俭绝正楷，企盼行云流水悦人心;崇拜爱因斯坦，梦想超越光速穿时空……

开始明白，那一切都只是过眼云烟，只有那好似近在咫尺却又仿佛远在天边的远方，才是心灵永恒的归宿。一颗躁动的心，渐渐安定下来――勃郁的豪情发过了酵，尖利的山风收住了劲，湍急的溪流汇成了湖……

“看破的，遁入空门;痴迷的，枉送了性命，好一似，食尽鸟投林，落了片白茫茫大地真干净。”

让它干净去，是吧，远方。

当今社会这个大贴吧，点击率最高的莫过于“面子”这一词。

吃个饭，进酒店，上档次要场面;穿衣服，背包要名牌，赶潮流，要体面;女人们出门逛街，见朋友都得化妆，要脸面。

面子确实重要。对男子来讲，面子似乎与尊严挂上钩了。一个人的尊严是任何物质都替代不了的，俗话说，士可杀，不可辱，就是这个道理，维护自己的尊严，也就是保全了自己的面子，尤其是公共场合之下，在众多人面前，任何一句不合理话或动作，都会使人丧失面子，这将会迎来周围人的怪异目光甚至是咒骂，那场面应该算得上是尴尬了，上不去也下不了台面的。面子没了，就会打击人的自信心，从此，面对他人抬不起头来，总觉得自己低人一等，这样就产生了消极情绪，渐渐地，便产生一种心理疾病，觉得活在世上没意思了。所以，尊严很重要，面子很重要。

顾及面子是人之常情，但若把面子看得太重似乎就不一定是好事了。慈禧太后执政期间，外敌已入侵，朝廷抵抗侵略，国库空虚，老百姓也被搜刮到流离失所，朝政昏庸黑暗，民不聊生，在这种环境下，慈禧竟给自己大办寿宴，宴席上金樽玉酒，富丽堂皇，在外人看来，给足了慈禧面子，但谁晓得，她这是亡国之前的回光反照!若她不那么在乎所谓的面子，将金钱投用于军事之上，或赈灾济民，说不定她的大清王朝会苟延残喘几日，但她终究敌不过人性的虚荣。是的，死要面子，便说明这不再是面子的事情了，这是人性的贪婪，虚荣，这是不可取的。

这样看来，“面子”似乎不容易把握，过轻，会使自己失去尊严，让人看不起;过重，便又成了贪婪、爱慕虚荣。凡事都要有个度，把握一个度很重要。

因此，知足常乐才是最好平衡的。人不应该太过在乎面子，但又不能失去本性，知足常乐者是王道。
