I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong

University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I

am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology

(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During

the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among

the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I

got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission

test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5%

in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is

given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer

Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the

ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university.

Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of

Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to

narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and

Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It

is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled

a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and

experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research

(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). It is small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling. Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar

pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent lanterns, fireworks form a

除夕夜里每家每户灯火通明，大人们在忙碌着准备好拜神时用的东西；小孩呢？哦，原来他们在玩耍着因为他们知道只有快乐的时候时间才会过得快一些，家乡的春节作文。一眨眼，墙上的挂钟将要到十二点钟时，人们就要把拜神的东西拿出祭拜神灵。为的是能在来年风调雨顺、健健康康、步步高升……

祭拜完后，过了十二点钟，大人，小孩都可以去睡觉了。

父亲说的津津有味，我听得都入神了。

正月初一在声声祝福中到来；从一个个拜年的手势“拜”来；在“噼里啪啦”的爆竹声中“走”来。这一天无论男女老少都必须早早起床，因为这一天人们要到祠庙拜太公，小学六年级作文《家乡的春节作文》。这个活动非常热闹了！人山人海，祠庙内外都放着爆竹。小孩们一个个捂着耳朵，大人们则跪在跪垫上拜太公。这天非常的特别，一整天只能够吃斋，过了正月初一才不用守这条规则。

多数铺面都在正月初六开张有一句话：“六六大顺，顺顺利利”所以人们就选在正月初六开张。正月初七是春节的最后一天了，这天人们又一家人坐在一起举杯共饮。

七日之后元宵上市，一下子又掀起一阵阵高潮。正月十五每个人都要在家中吃汤圆。

听着，听着，我仿佛置身其中直到父亲叫我，我才回过神来。

家乡的春节太吸引人了！有机会我要常回家乡过春节！
