The panther stood, with the boy on its back, started running towards the gate of the zoo and disappeared into the city in the dusk twilight.

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o’clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

万家灯火，大街通明，霓虹闪耀，高楼林立，这一切的一切都不能不让我们感叹现代科技的高速发展为人们提供了多么美丽的世界。

满天繁星，星河璀璨，碧水蓝天，高山险峻，这一切的一切也很美丽，但他们随着科技的同时，也在一点一点离我们远去，这是多么悲哀啊。

现代科技的高速发展，一方面提高了我们的生活质量，使人们的生活日益便利的同时，也给环境带来了巨大的破坏。光污染，大气污染，生物多样性锐减，这使曾经绿水青山不再，使满天繁星失去了光彩，使曾经的飞鸟走兽失去了踪迹，也使我们的美丽家园不再美丽。

面对这些问题，我们要思考，我们要反思，科学技术的发展究竟让我们得到了什么？又让我们失去了什么？毫无疑问，科技的发展是以环境为代价的，这多么可怕，想想几千年后可能我们的后代认识山川，河流，繁花，要从课本上去了解，因为地球上早已失去了这些美好的事物。光是想象几千年后的场景就让我们不寒而栗。

如果让我们回到远古时代，在那里没有现代的科技成果，我想我们会领悟到大自然都美景，而且这些美景是令人心旷神怡的，是漫无边际的，我们会生活的自由自在。

科学技术的发展让我们的生活变得便利，汽车，飞机，轮船等交通工具的普及，让人们的生活更方便。手机电视的发明，让我们可以与千里之外的朋友交流，这一切都说明了科学技术也有好的一面。

所以科学技术是一把双刃剑，它对我们的生活有好的方面的改变，也有坏的方面的改变。

最后，让我们从现在优越的环境中清醒过来，我们在享受科技带来的便利的同时，也要慎而处之，否则我们会受到来自大自然的惩罚。

同学们，当我们坐在电视机前收看丰富多彩的节目时;我们手按鼠标在计算机的世界里畅游时;当我们沉浸在与同学在电话里快乐地聊天时……我们可曾想过：是什么给我们的生活带来那么多的变化?是科技!是科技的巨大力量，改变了我们身边的一切，改变了整个世界!

随着科技的逐渐发展，我们的生活有什么变化呢?

爸爸说：我们的劳动变得轻松了!再也不用像爷爷那个年代——靠面朝黄土背朝天、没日没夜地干活，靠捉摸不定、喜怒无常的老天爷吃饭了。在采用高科技术的农业暖菜棚里，一年四季的气候都是温暖的。当粮食成熟时，耕地、播种、收割等繁多、劳累的程序都可以用计算机来管理，用农业器械完成。所以，科技把人们从繁重的体力劳动中拔了出来。

妈妈说：如今我们的生活变好了!是呀，以前，人们都在为吃不饱睡不好等问题发愁。可是现在，不论是什么问题，只要科技出马，所有问题全部迎刃而解了!我们不仅仅装满了米篮子，还装满了菜篮子，比以前吃得更有营养更丰富了!去年，爸爸还在我的房间里装了一台空调，即使是在炎热的夏季，我在自己的小房间里看书都不会了。

如果要我来说，我觉得科技把世界变小了，电脑就是最主要的一类。因特网上，我用QQ跟许多不曾相识的陌生人成为了好朋友，自己有什么烦恼的话就可以向他们倾吐。科技的发达不仅仅这些，想当年唐僧去印度取经时，一路上跋山涉水、风餐露宿、历尽艰辛，整整走了好几年才到达目的地现在，舒适安全的汽车、轮船、飞机等交通工具把我们的足印在了地球上几乎所有的地方。这个国庆节，我和爸爸还一起去了一趟世博会呢!

在新世界的东方，我们的祖先发明了火药、指南针、印刷术、造纸术，创造了自己辉煌的历史。我们幸运地成长在一个崭新的时代，科技的花朵从来没有像今天这样鲜艳夺目，科技的道路从来没有像今天这样宽广辽阔。同学们，让我们从小去培养、去发扬爱科技、爱思考、爱创造的好习惯，创造我们为爱幸福美好的家园!

My grade school days are the most wonderful time I have ever had. In those days I always wanted as eagerly to learn as a dog prowls about in search of food. The teachers taught me not only the three R’s but also the way to observe the world surrounding us. They laid more stress on observation than on memorization. Thus we had much time to talk over and trade our learning experiences. What excited me most during my grade school days, however, was to be out collecting specimens of the butterfly. Once, on a sunny day and after walking a good while, we reached a one began to catch the butterflies with great excitement while the teacher told us about the living habit of them. Though we spent more time in playing than in catching butterflies, we still had a rich collection when we went home, and a rich knowledge of wildlife into the bargain. After I attended junior high school I did not have much of an opportunity to learn the way I did in grade school, but did not regret because we are bound to go through various stages of life. Anyway, my grade school education was the cornerstone of my later learning career and for that single reason, if not for any other, I am grateful to it.
