Myname is Tom Lee. I am fourteen. I study at No. 4 ICT School, not a very bigschool. There are about six hundred students in my school. There is only onebuilding in our school, but we have a very big playground. There are tencomputer labs and one library in the building, and there are many computerbooks in the library. We often go there in the afternoon.

From my point of view, we should change ourselves when the situation can’t

be changed any more. Difficulties hide in every corner of our life so we have to

face them at times. But the problem is that we sometimes are not able to change

the challenging situations at all as our abilities are limited. When it comes,

we’d better change our attitude towards these difficulties. Only in this way can

we get rid of the tough surroundings and be happy.

Something like that happened to me once. There was a time when I was

laughed at by my classmates while I was walking. I was puzzled so I asked them

why they laughed at me. One of them told me that the way I walked was very

strange and funny. I was sad but I just couldn’t change the way I walked. And

the situation of being laughed at by those people didn’t stop. Therefore, I

changed my attitude towards the incident. I ignored those comments on me and

walked as I used to. The comments soon disappeared and I was so glad to have

succeeded in the quiet war.

So in my opinion, we should change ourselves first and then the situation

can be changed at last. It is very difficult for us to change our surroundings

but much easier to change ourselves. People around us will see our change, after

which they may change their attitude toward us.

去年寒假，我和哥哥随着火车的汽笛声来到了我怀念已久的家乡，一片片森林从我眼前闪过，让我的脑海里不知不觉地浮现出那时自己在家乡的生活，夜晚点油灯，白天烧火做饭，衣服裤子脏了要拿到山沟里去洗，外面下着倾盆大雨，而自己家简陋的房子里却下着小雨。如今也不知自己的家乡如何了，“嘟、嘟”刚下火车，映入眼帘的一切令我大吃一惊，一条宽敞而平坦的水泥铺成的车路竟在我踏的脚底下，抬头看着四周一座座山峰渐渐减少，而高楼却一座座增加，车路旁的？红灯下一辆辆飞驰而过的车。接着，我和哥哥坐着的士车来到了大伯家，眼前看到的是一座豪华的二层的楼房。“哥哥，这里真是大伯家吗？”“去敲门看看不就知道了吗？”

我冒昧地敲了一下门“咚咚”，过了一会儿有人来开门了，真是的大伯，大伯身穿一身西装，脸上的皱纹虽增加了许多，但是看看还是那么有精神，一点没变，我和哥哥来到了大伯家的客厅，我坐在柔软的沙发上，望着地上明晃晃的地板砖，四周洁白的墙壁，我感到有些吃惊！大伯热情地打开电视给我们看，又从冰箱里拿出水果给我们吃，我看着墙壁上挂着一张张大伯满带笑容的照片，让我不由自主地问起大伯：“您为什么不下地去干活啊！”大伯笑容满面的说：“还干什么活，剩下几块地，自己喜欢吃点什么就种点什么，连穿脏的衣服，直接扔进洗衣机，用手控制洗衣机就行了，做饭时插上电源十几分钟后就可以吃上香喷喷的饭了，再加上政府给我们住的楼房，还给我们发贫困资金，现在我们这些老的就坐着享清福了……”

听了大伯说的一番话，让我得知：随着我们祖国的敏荣昌盛，世界的每个角落也在变化，在一百一十多个单位的研制下三千多人“神舟五号”和“神舟六号”载人船天飞行安全落地，取得圆满成功。神奇的“天路”，西部大开发……，无不在产生变化，我怎能不感叹回家乡的变化？

此时我想起一句诗句：流恋此光景，浑如到梦滨。

一直以来，由于乡村中学信息相对缺乏，环境相对落后，办学条件相对较差，师资力量相对低下，学生的眼界相对狭隘，知识相对缺乏，语言表达能力相对较差，以及风俗习惯、方言土话的影响，导致农村学生写作词汇贫乏，写作技巧单调，没话可写，他们对作文失去了兴趣和信心，甚至产生畏惧心理，以致谈文色变，再加上近年来语文新教材一时多变，一些教师懒以应对，渐渐地农村初中作文教学成了薄弱环节。为了扭转这种被动的局面，语文教师必须克服困难，与时俱进，大刀阔斧地进行作文教学改革。在农村初中这种特殊的客观条件下，要想提高学生的写作水平，我认为应该抓好以下几点。

一、改革单一的评分标准，培养学生的兴趣和信心

目前，很多农村初中生的作文都是由教师布置，学生中除了少部分认真思考，按时完成外，大部分都是临时抱佛脚，东抄西拼，应付了事。出现这种现象，除了学生自身的原因外，教师批改作文评分单一，评语少，不从学生实际情况去做恰当评改，相反存在压分的情况也是原因之一。去年期末考试，我们语文组在评改作文的过程中，发现有不少学生的作文是佳作，主题突出，条理清晰，语言表达也不错，但评卷老师还是用传统的单一的评分标准去衡量，给的分数很低，生怕学生考“好”了。试想，一个学生在短短的两个半小时内，既要完成语基部分，又要构思、谋篇布局，完成600字左右的作文，的确很不容易。所以，我们应该用发展的目光去看问题，去发现学生的闪光点，数学中存在满分，为何作文不能满分呢?教师应摈弃老思想、老观念，培养学生的写作兴趣和信心。学生写作能力提高了，有了信心，教师要及时表扬，作文不能一味压分，要恰当提高学生的作文分数，让他们在写作道路上充满信心。

二、突破素材关，培养学生观察生活，感知生活的习惯

任何一种文学，都离不开生活。如果把学生禁锢在狭窄的空间去谈作文，只能是植无本之树，挖无水之井。凭空而虚构的作文是空洞的，甚至是违反逻辑和客观现实的。如果要农村学生去写城市题材，或要城市学生去写农村题材，学生大多胡编乱造。只有让学生写自己经历的事，写出自己的感受，他们才能有感而发，有话可说。因此，在作文教学中应贴近学生实际，引导学生关注现实，热爱生活，表达真情实感，多角度去观察生活，发现生活的丰富多彩，捕捉事物的特征，力争有创意的表达，使学生易于动笔，乐于表达。初中教材中有一个单元的写作训练是“有感而发”，要求学生睁大眼睛去观察生活，敞开胸怀去拥抱生活，用心灵去感受生活。第一道作文题目是：来到了新的学校和新的班级，结识了新的同学和新的老师，学习生活也有许多的变化。你一定会有许多新的感受，对新的生活也一定有自己的认识，写一篇文章把你的感受表达出来。第二道题目是：你知道爸爸妈妈的生日吗?在爸爸妈妈生日那天，你想到什么?又是怎样做的呢?围绕这个话题写一篇文章，文体不限。这是贴近实际并引导学生去关注生活的文章。怎样才能抓好这一环节呢?第一，有意识地引导学生观察、深入参与生活，

William Thackeray， a famous British writer， said， “Life is a mirror. I think we should even be grateful to life whenever we are unsuccessful or unlucky. Only by doing this can we find our weakness and shortcomings when we fail. We can also get relief and warmth when we are unlucky. This can help us find our courage to overcome the difficulties we may face， and receive great impetus to move on. We should treat our frustration and misfortune in our life in the other way just as President Roosevelt did. We should be grateful all the time and keep having a healthy attitude to our life forever， keep having perfect characters and enterprising spirit. In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in

activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. I went to many places, such as the beautiful Maanling Forest Park, the beautiful Longhu Mountain, and the Jinhua Double Dragon Cave that Ye Shengtao visited. But these are not the most pleasant memories of my summer vacation.

It was Saturday morning, I just woke up, saw my mother in a hurry, mouth called: Im going to be late for work, you father and son help me wash clothes! When I want to tell my mother that I cant wash, her back is far away from me. Father pretended not to hear and went on to sleep.

Finally, I had to do it. I picked up the dirty clothes reluctantly, picked up soap and brushes, and washed them impatiently. Washing, a small bubble floating from my face, flashing colorful light. I went to beijing to play during last summer holiday.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I went shopping in WangFuJing. I bought lots of souvenirs and other things. I like eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. Don’t miss the Beijing Duck. It is really nice.

The trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.

According to a recent Hurun report, among the rich worth more than 10million RMB, 14 percent either have already migrated or are applying for migration to a foreign country, and nearly half of them are considering joining the group. It is also said that China has become the largest emigration country in the world. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the number of Chinese applicants for investment immigration has exceeded applications from any other country or region.

So why do so many of the rich in China choose to move out? How will this country be affected by the so called “migration tide”.

Better education and robust law system are among what they are looking for overseas. In a violent contrast to Chinese rocketing economy, our education level is still left far behind that of some foreign country, especially the US. People who have made wealth in the past 30 years and subsequently seek better education for the future of their children, join the migration army. Secondly, unlike some who concern about children education much more, other rich people pay more attention to the security of their asset. They are worrying about their asset safety in China, and strongly believe that, under the protection of foreign laws which are nearly to perfection, they will live a life of ease.

It can be seen that after obtaining great deal of wealth, rich people in China are obviously pursuing a better living condition, either for their children or themselves. So the question is raised that will this emigration affect China negatively. I say yes, but not as seriously as many think.

China witnessed two migration tides before, one in the late70’s, another early 90’s.From these two, the nowadays migration differs in some aspects. The emigrants are no longer poor students only with a resolution to bring back to their motherland cutting edge science and technology overseas, instead they wave goodbyes to China taking with them substantial wealth and many of them are still top-notch intellectuals. It is almost certain that, from this perspective, emigration will undermine China on the way to her rise. However, in my perspective of view, this kind of migration will in some way make China much more influential in the world. The current western world still knows China too little, especially in terms of common citizens. Citing India for example, we can see a similar tide took place in India in the 60’s, which once drew attention and concerns in Indian government and society. Several decades later, these Indian emigrants still keep in bond with their motherland, and improve the image of Indians, thus lift the status of India in the world. So I expect Chinese emigrants will also contribute to China’s success in a different but profound way.

Migration tide this time indicates that China, who is on the way of great economy increase, still has more flaws to be perfected, when compared with some developed countries. But we needn’t worry too much. Maybe it’s not a bad thing when looking back several decades later.

I get up at seven o’clock in the morning every day. After I brush my teeth

and wash face, I eat my breakfast. My mother makes the breakfast for me. I go to

school at 7:30am, and come back from school at 6 pm. Before I go to bed I will

do some homework. I usually go to sleep at 10 pm. On the weekend, I will go to

play football with my friends, in the summer we like to go swimming. These are

my daily life.

In the holiday life, I learned a lot of things.

Youth is not just a stage of life, but it is also a state of mind. Being

young is so great and also the most cherrish moment in a life, as young men have

more energy and power to move forwards. Once we grow up more, we might lose

enthusiasm to propell our expectation. Nowadays, young men are looking for a job

to work. Work provides money to support our living and meaning of a life.

Howtime flies! It has been three years since I came to the school. My school isbeautiful and there are many beautiful flowers and trees.
