whats your plan for dragon boat festival?

As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and cant see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldnt buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didnt make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentines day, April Fools Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, its the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witchs Day in Czech. People burned the witchs puppet so as to welcome spring. After new holiday regulation, we have three holidays during the dragon boat festival. So many people will choose this time to travel. The Origin of Halloween

While there are many versions of the origins and old customs of Halloween, some remain consistent by all accounts. Different cultures view Holloween somewhat differently but traditional Halloween practices remain the same.

Halloween culture can be traced back to the Druids, a Celtic culture in Ireland, Britain and Northern Europe. Roots lay in the feast of Samhain, which was annually on October 31st to honor the dead.

Samhain signifies "summers end" or November. Samhain was a harvest festival with huge sacred bonfires, marking the end of the Celtic year and beginning of a new one. Many of the practices involved in this celebration were fed on superstition.

The Celts believed the souls of the dead roamed the streets and villages at night. Since not all spirits were thought to be friendly, gifts and treats were left out to pacify the evil and ensure next years crops would be plentiful. This custom evolved into trick-or-treating.

Once， when I was a teenager， my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally， there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children， all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didnt have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive， but they were clean. The children were well-behaved， all of them standing in line， two-by-two behind their parents， holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns， elephants， and other acts they would see that night.

书面表达历来是英语教学中一个难点，要想在限定的时间内写出一篇质量上乘的文章，非一日之功。纵观几年来的高考书面表达，我们可以看出，高考英语写作越来越重视情景的设置，要求考生总结自己的感受和见解，给出自己的观点。书面表达又是全面衡量学生英语综合水平的一种测试形式，因此，我们不得不重视。

第一步，写作的内容，要求做到两点— 内容完整、相关。这两点只要考生不粗心，基本都能做到。比如陕西考区的题目，要求写暑假的安排，是一篇正反观点类的议论文。必须注意题目的要求，第一要提出讨论话题，Recently there has been a heated discussion about what the students should do during the summer vacation.(这是一个经典的模版开篇句型)。第二要写出一方面的观点，然后是另一方面的观点，最后提出自己的看法，根据要求缺一不可，否则就会被扣掉相应的分数，这就是完整。再比如，2005年广东考区的成语寓言故事，不仅要描写整个守株待兔的过程，还应该根据要求点名寓意，否则也是不完整，这点只要在课堂上强调，学生是很容易做到的。所谓相关，也就是不要过多出现文中没有的信息，不能过分发挥，一般学生犯此类错误的较少。

第二步，写作中的语法。在阅卷中，一般三个小的语法错误会被扣掉一分，一个大的语法错误(关于谓语的错误)会被扣掉一分。所以，学生应该尽量避免犯语法错误。我在课堂中会强调，对于语法基础薄弱的同学，除了加强自己的语法功底外，就是去背诵我给出的50个最高频用到的句法结构。这些结构不仅正确，而且一定是高考中的有效得分点，即使语法偏弱，记住这些句子然后在考试中使用也能避免学生自己造句中的语法错误，一举两得。比如，倒装句在考试中就很少有同学主动启用，但是一旦正确启用就会收到意想不到的效果，所以我会给出四组倒装句，然后让学生加强运用和练习。这些句子包括：

1、Only when we realize the importance of environmental protection, can we solve the problem of pollution.

2、So precious is time that we can’t afford to waste it.

3、Diligent as he was, he failed in passing the exam.

4、By no means should teenagers get into the habit of smocking.

第三步，连接词的运用，使文章连贯、流畅。我把这些词分为8类，叫做“畅词”，往往学生由于中西方语言的差异，会忽视这一点，所以在授课中会通过大量的练习巩固和加强学生的印象。而且不仅要写，还写出高水平的畅词，因为高考是选拔性考试，要做到“人无我有,人有我优”。比如，“首先”这个表示次序的畅词，一般同学一定想到的是firstly 或者first of all。可是我建议学生启用to begin with, 或者initially (这个是建议水平较好的启用)。“然而”，绝大部分启用but, however，我建议学生采用on the contrary 或者oppositely。

第四步，也是整个课程的核心部分，要强化“复杂、高级”两个概念。为什么是核心呢?因为学生在这一部分没有正确的认识，在平时的学习中老师也没有有意识灌输和训练总结。大部分学生以为只要写出来、写正确就可以拿到高分，其实80-120个单词包括大概10个句子，如果全部是简单的词汇和句型没有办法达到最高档作文的要求。因此，我们强调高级的词汇和高级复杂的句型，不是说全部必须高级，而是必须出现一些才能符合高考作文大纲的要求。在这一步中，我总结的“高分词汇选择原则”、“简单句到复杂句的瞬间转换”、“高分句子写作策略”以及“钻石得分50句”，通过这些理论和实践结合的讲解，学生会感觉成绩的快速提升，效果明显。

Some people like to travel with friends, because they want to share the pleasure of traveling, and they think the journey will be much easier for they can take care of each other. While some people like to travel alone, they can go anywhere in anytime. They don’t have to care about what the partner’s idea. In my opinion, I’m much preferred to travel with friends, but I always have an urge to travel alone.

我想没有人会对旅行说“不”。人们喜欢旅游，因为旅游可以使他们放松并开阔视野。有些人喜欢和朋友一起旅行，因为他们想要分享旅游的乐趣，他们认为旅行会变得更容易，在旅程中将他们可以互相照顾。有些人喜欢独自旅行，他们可以在任何时候去任何地方。他们不必在乎对方的想法。在我看来，我更喜欢和朋友一起旅行，但我总是有一种冲动想独自旅行。

Firstly, I was told that travel alone can help people to grow up quickly, and that’s what I really need. If you travel alone, you have to do everything by yourself in the journey, for instance, to buy a ticket, to book hotel, and ask directions. That maybe just a small case for extrovert, but for introvert, like me, it’s really a big challenge. I remember the first time I go to travel with friends and my little brother, they did everything, and I just follow and had fun. I even too shame to check into a hotel, and my little brother did it for me. I was humiliated for that. So, travel alone could force introvert to do the things that you don’t dare to do. It could help you to build an outgoing personality. For extrovert, travel alone could enhance your ability to handle emergence case.

首先，有人告诉我独自旅行能帮助人们迅速长大，这才是我真正需要的。如果你独自一人旅行，你必须在旅途中，自己做所有的事情，比如，买机票，预订酒店，问路。这些对于外向的人也许只是小事，但对于性格内向的人，像我，就是一个非常大的挑战。我记得我第一次与朋友和我的小弟弟去旅行的时候，他们把所有的事情都做好，而我只是跟着并寻找乐趣。我甚至太害羞而不敢到酒店登记，结果是我的弟弟为我登记的。对于这一点我感到很羞愧。所以，独自旅行能强迫内向的人做你不敢做的事情。它可以帮助你形成外向的性格。对于外向的人，独自旅行能提高你处理紧急情况的能力。

Secondly, travel alone gives you peace of mind. Image that, you walking alone in the beach, there are no sounds of human beings, just burst of sound waves. You close your eyes, enjoy the moment, you will feel peace.

其次，独自旅行可以让你心情平静。想象一下你一个人独自走在沙滩上，那儿没有人类的声音，只有浪花的声音。闭上眼睛，享受这一刻，你会感觉到平静。

In short, travel alone could be loneliness and dangerous, especially for girls, but it’s worth having a try for the beautiful scene in the journey, it seems like all the things are just exist for you.

总之，独自旅行可能会有孤独和危险，特别是对女孩子，但为了旅途中美丽的景色是值得一试的，似乎所有的事物都只为你而存在。

出发啦，不要问那路在哪，大步向前，是唯一的方法。

人在世间，总会被无数尘事所牵绊着，像事业，像名利。如蝉蛹一点一点缠上人不断前进的脚步，将人一点一点束住。如化地为牢。

终是渐渐遗忘开始时的热血勇气，及美好初衷，开始止步不前了。

城市的夜晚永远是散不尽的浮华与五光十色，灯光让夜空都失色，大街喧闹着肆意着，看似热闹但却是寂寞的，这就是城市。一直记得，我渴望去旅行，离开这浮华的地方，走向我的向往，但却没有几次真正的出发？一直犹豫，后方的种种牵绊让人不敢远离，也从未出发。

其实我想去长白山，去看那美丽的三圣雪山覆盖着皑皑白雪，那巨大山体巍峨而立，白顶黑岩，仙气飘渺，震撼人心，才能真的懂得＂到蓬莱仙境，不及长白一眺＂的美丽宏壮，最重要的是，那天然的未曾开采过的洁白，是多么美好，未曾有复杂的枷锁将它包裹，远远矗立在未有尘世的安静地方，它没有城市的浮夸空虚，只是静默。多想去那，让心灵受次洗的。在一次闲暇时光，我窝在家里看书，书中的一句话让我有些动容：＂想走的时候，就大胆往前走，不要怕，不要回头。＂一时有些动容。渴望去往那长白山但是却是久久不实现，一边遗憾一边照样向前。美好的旅行，只是说说而已。不，我想来次真的渴望想走就走的旅行！

一次聊天时，我把我的愿望说给了朋友听，“你说是不是很可笑，老是想着一些不切实际的东西。”“不，”她打断我，“只要真正想，那就去做，没什么不可能。”“所以，你，为什么不去试试呢？”

是不是应该真正的尝试一次？不在担忧这与那，摆开背后的纠缠，坚强果断，走向自己渴望的地方，打定主意，是否就应该去拼？人生一直都是不被注定的，它是一场想走就走的旅行，不要总拿各种理由当借口。不要犹豫，大胆点，向前大步走吧，人生，一直在自己手中，坚强果断的出发吧，大步向前，记住，一切都来得及。

所以我决定，尝试着出发。毕竟还不算太迟。不顾这顾那，就这样出发。

也请相信点什么，保持某种天真，满怀某种希望。要是打定主意，就大胆往前走，去旅行去玩耍，莫回头，莫后悔，想走，就走，出发吧，一切才刚刚开始。

every one has a dream. i have a dream, too. i have a dream that one day i could become a math teacher.

i love math very much, because i think math is quite useful. its useful when people are buying things. its useful when students are learning subjects like physics and chemitry. and its useful when scientists are doing experiments. teachers can not only help students to learn things but also teach the students to apply what they learn into practice.

therefore, i hope to be a math teacher in the future. i want to help more students learn math.

Since I went to college, I have made many friends and we shared the same

interest. My friends and I liked traveling so much. We decided to travel abroad.

The destination was Thailand. We spent ten days there and had a nice trip. It

was such an unforgettable trip, and I learned a lot.

Firstly, it was my first time to travel abroad. My friends and I had made

many preparations. We read the travel guide and chose the information that was

useful to us. I classified the information and wrote down tourist sites. During

the trip, I become much independent. Sometimes I even walked down the foreign

street by myself, appreciating the beautiful scenery.

Secondly, I broadened my vision and enrich my mind. Before I came to

Thailand, I needed to read some information, then I got to know this countrys

culture and their tradition. When I was in Thailand, I could feel its religious

belief. Whats more, there were so many foreigners here, and I talked to them

happily.

Traveling is a good way to learn knowledge, and I know the importance of

English. It is the key to know about the world.

Yestoday,our Chinese teacher told us that we would have a school trip.And today is the school trip day.So,we get school in the early morning.We will go to the park by bus.And all of us spend 150 yuan in buying bus tickets.

When we get there.We see so many trees and flowers.The flowers are so colorful and nice.There are many different birds in the sky.Oh,there are also a big poor in the park.The water in the poor is so clean.We fall in love with the park.
