Currently, there is a widespread concern about the previously neglected connection between growing human population and decreasing wild species. As the two graphs obviously portrayed, American population in 1980 was 250 times than that in 1800, a trend accompanied by the extinction of nearly 70 kinds of wildlife in the past 300 years. Tom Sawyer is a lively and clever boy. He lives with his aunt Polly. His

aunt is strict with him, so he runs to an island in the middle of the

Mississippi River with two friends, Huck and Joe. With Huck, he goes looking for

treasure; with Becky, he gets lost in a cave. And finally Tom and Huck find a

box of gold. Tom is the hero of the story, but there are other important

characters. Becky is pretty with fair hair. Huck is Tom’s best friend, and Injun

Joe is the bad man of the story.

The theme of the story is to do with children growing up and becoming more

serious.

Last night, as I felt so bored, so I started to watch movie, my friend asked me to watch Mist, she told me it was very shocking, I was so looking forward to seeing it.

Mist is a horror movie, it told about a great mist covered the country, people struggled to live in the world with big monster, at the end, as there was no way to survive, so the protagonist killed his son to make him relieve, just after a few second, the rescue came.

The ending is so hopeless for the protagonist, if he holds on for a few second, everything will be changed. The story tells people never to give up hope, who knows what will happen the next second. If we give up hope, we can’t see the good things that will come around. Keeping the hope is very important, it will help us to overcome the difficulty.

昨晚，我感到很无聊，所以我开始看电影，我的朋友叫我去看《迷雾》，她说那部电影很震惊，我很期待看。《迷雾》是一部恐怖片，讲述了一场大雾笼罩国家，人们挣扎着在这个世界上和怪物存活，最后，由于是在无路可退，男主人公杀死了他的儿子，为了让他解脱，只是过了一会，救援队就来了。对于男主人公来说结局是多么的绝望啊，如果他坚持一会，事情就会不一样了。故事告诉人们永远都不要放弃希望，谁知道下一秒钟会发生什么事情呢。如果我们放弃希望，我们就看不到接下来的事情。怀抱希望是很重要的，它能让我们克服困难。

How to deal with telecom fraud

These days telecom fraud occurs frequently by means of telephones, text messages, the internet or false information with the purpose of cheating people of their money, which has caused great property loss to some people. The cheat usually asks you to remit money or transfer accounts. The following are some measures which, I think, may be of some help to you in preventing telecom fraud.

First ,dont believe in the cheat. Whatever they say, dont be fooled by them. Second, keep your personal information from others especially your ID number ; otherwise you will easily fall to victim. Last but not the least, remember the saying“ Money doesnt grow on tree. ” and be cautious about calls or short messages from strangers.

To conclude, if we raise awareness of self -protection, the cheats will never get anything.

“喂!你能不能从台阶的三层往下跳?”叶思怡问童若丹。

跑道旁边，有四层石阶。说是石阶其实是看台的楼梯，有好几层，每一层大约有20cm左右的高度。

“能呀!这有什么了不起!”童若丹轻松地跑上第三层，眼睛一眨也不眨地往下跳了，轻轻松松地着地，不费吹之力就完成了动作。“这么高，就这么跳下来?满厉害的。”，“要不，我也试试!”我在试图说 服自己去跳一下，可等我走到第三层的时候，这种想法很快就消失了，“天哪!好高呀!跳下去会骨折的。”我自己吓自己，看了两次，我还是放弃了，这时，杜子涵也轻松跳了下去，接着虞筱叶也跳了，她们都是那么地轻松，那么地熟练，看到这里好玩，更多的同学加入进来了，陆续有人往下跳，到后来竟然有人从四层往下跳，也照样无事。

看着她们，我一个劲地打退堂鼓，我有恐高症，我跳不了的。

心里越是这么想，离三层台阶也就越远，已经走到地上了，“试试嘛!有什么好怕的!”耳边传来了叶思怡的声音，“要不，我给你示范一次?!真的不难的，只要咬紧牙，起跳就可以了。”她说得好轻松，接着她们一个一个又跳了一次，轮到我了，我还是迟迟不敢下决心，犹豫再三，“这样吧，先跳两层，简单些。”叶给我降低了要求，我看了看高度，低了很多，轻轻一跃就下去了，“两层都可以，三层肯定没问题!”叶肯定地说。

这时，不断地有人从四层上跳下来，看得我目瞪口呆，心里也真是佩服，我暗暗也下了决心，三层我必须征服。再次走上三层，往底下看，腿有点哆嗦，不断地往后退，右手拍了拍胸脯，鼓舞自己不要怕，可腿还是不听使唤就是迈不开，“要不，闭上眼，径直往下跳?可万一碰到一层台阶怎么办?那可是会疼死的。”我在三层原地犹豫，突然，铃声响了，同学们都跳下去往教室跑，“星妤，快点，集合了!”不知谁对着我嚷，我一着急，眼一闭，压腿提臀，人往前倾，“1，2，3，跳”，我念到跳的时候，人已经在地上了，咦，竟然稳稳地站在草地上了，而且是那么的轻松，那么地稳当。

此时，我激动万分，我终于战胜了自己!很多时候，面对困难，真正的对手不是别人，而是你自己，只有战胜自己，你才能离胜利更近些。

One day I hurried home for lunch after school, because there would be an exam

in the afternoon and I had expected to go back to school early to prepare for

the exam. But when I got home, the lunch was not ready yet. I felt unhappy. When

the dishes were served, I forund none I like. I ran out of my house angrily and

wanderde on the street for a while,hungry. Then I walked to school.

When I got into the classroom, I saw a lunch box on my desk. One classmate

told me that it was my mother ther that had brought it here.After opening the

人间万物都有信念与理想：一棵小草的希望是美化一片土地，一颗流星的希望是打破寂静的夜空。在人们眼中，世间万物都是有生命的。我们仿佛听过山石的心跳，仿佛看到过大地在闪着眼睛。是啊，生命可算是宇宙中奇迹的奇迹，它给予我们思想，赋予我们希望，鼓舞我们前进。

这让我想起自己的一件事。

两年前，我从外地转到市区上小学六年级。显然，作为小学与中学的“分水岭”，这一年对我尤为关键。可周围不再是我熟悉的同学，而我感到却是同学们对我的敌意――我成了他们新的竞争对手。由于对应试教育不适应，我一连几天心情十分抑郁，说什么也不肯接受试卷上那鲜红的数字――那成绩就像是用我的血写成的。不能再像原来那样可以易如反掌地拿到桂冠，我感觉失去了希望，也看不到自己还有什么优势，真有“物是人非事事休”之感。

我决定把我的心事告诉父亲。父亲听完了我的讲述，微笑着对我说到：“我真的没有想到你这么有进取心，这说明你学习还是有动力的。你现在唯一的问题是你没有对自己的正确、客观的认识。”说到这里，父亲指着餐桌上的几盘菜说道：“中华美食八大菜系，每一道菜都有它的优劣之处，为什么不做成同等口味的呢?那是因为不同种类的人对食物的口味有不同的需求，这就是它的价值所在。试想，如果所有的菜都做成一个味，即使再好吃，最终不是也会被人吃腻吗?”我心悦诚服的点点头。父亲继续说到：“既然一道菜都有自己的价值，那你就更没理由不相信自己能成功。”

父亲说完走了，留给我的是深深的思考。也正是父亲的一番话，减轻了我的负担，让我找回了自信。在父亲的鼓舞下，我如愿以偿，考取了市重点中学。最重要的是，在浓雾漫天的人生之旅中找到了方向，重获生的希望。这对我来说，简直就是个奇迹。

曾读过一篇文章《心田上的百合花》，作者笔下的百合花苞，不顾周围野草对她的嘲笑，绽放出艳丽的花朵，实现了自己的梦想。所以，如果你感到迷茫，不妨放下自己手中的“有色放大镜”，换一个角度欣赏自己，为生的希望而努力奋斗着。总有一天，当成功的阳光照耀在你身上时，你才会意识到自己是那么珍贵。那时以后，你再也不会妄自菲薄了。

所以，请你牢记――生命就是希望，坚守希望就是成功。

Nowadays, more and more college students are taking part in work-study programs in their spare time. Many of them choose to be a tutor or doing a part-time job in school dining room or library. Also some others do a part-time delivering man or promotion specialist or other jobs alike.

There are mainly three different reasons for college students to take work-study program. First, to earn money is the main aim of many students, they want to relieve the burden on their family by doing a part-time job. Second, some students take work-study programs as a channel by which know the society and improve their practical skills. Third, still other students doing part-time job just for fun or kill time.

From my point of view, it goes without saying that college students can benefit a lot from work-study programs. However, those students who get part-time jobs should keep it in mind that study is prior to anything else. Besides, they should spend their income from part-time job reasonably.
