进入午门，走过金水桥，穿过太和门，一座宫殿亮在眼前。你们知道现在我们看到的是什么宫殿吗？对了，就是太和殿。金黄的砖瓦在阳光底下闪闪发光，让人不能直视，那朱红的宫墙也很引人注目，红艳艳的，十分好看。但这还不是最绝的。如果你靠近窗边，还会发现里面有许多桌椅。现在，就让我们走过去吧！
到了窗边，透过微弱的亮光往里看，里面呈现出虽阴暗，但又能想象出当年繁荣的景象。桌子、椅子、床等各种木制品一俱齐全。来，让我们仔细瞅瞅这些家具，颇有清代风格。雕刻师们精心雕刻出了这些花纹。有的像一条龙，有的像两卷大浪，还有的像一只凤凰……另外，有一个地方你肯定没有想到，在故宫里，唯有太和殿有“地暖”，这个“地暖”就在太和殿的地下一层，它是用柴火所烧，在寒冷的冬天，不让皇帝和皇后饱受严寒。

在离出口仅有几米远的地方，有一座大假山。这座大假山有足足6米多高，宽也有7——8米长，很是漂亮。
