In recent years, with the rising of the standard of life, Chinese tend to make various holiday plans to spend a different and meaningful new year. Such as traveling abroad, or be absorbed in their hobbies, and even work.

Spring Festivals Eve is the last night in the last month of lunar calendar next to Spring Festival Day，the First Day of New Year. Chuxi，the Chinese name of Spring Festivals Eve，means the old year past and we will greet the new by the turn of year. During all festival，the activities or celebrations focus on praying for Good Fortunes and getting rid of Bad Fortunes.

In ancient Chinas Zhou and Qin Dynasty，when it came to Lunar New Year，Royal Palace would have a ritual named Danuo，to drive away ghost and bad luck of illness and disaster，it was also called "Zhuchu(to drive away)". 在我国的北方有一种习俗，就是吃饺子，饺子的谐音即“交子”，表达了人们对更岁交子，对新的一年吉祥富裕的一种渴望。而南方人则喜欢在大年的早晨吃汤圆，意味着我们在新的一年里圆圆满满，团团圆圆。人们还喜欢把一种叫“荠菜”的蔬菜和汤圆一块吃，“荠菜”有被称作“聚财”意喻在新的一年招财进宝，心想事成。

春节里，我们更少不了要放鞭炮来活跃一下春节时欢欢喜喜的气氛了。放鞭炮在民间还有一个传说：相传在远古的时侯，有一只叫“年”的怪兽，每到春节的时候就出来吓唬人，于是人们就想了个办法，用竹筒点燃扔向它，竹筒爆炸后发出很大的声响，吓走了年兽，放鞭炮的习俗就这样流传下来了。

春节的习俗还有很多很多，它丰富了我们的知识，拉近了人们的距离。它是中华名族的优良传统，让我们一起去了解它们吧!

Every year, Spring Festival makes me happy, because I can spend a long

holiday to stay with my families. On the New Year’s Eve, all the families got

together. We woke up early in the morning and then my mother started to purchase

some food to prepare the big dinner. I helped my mother to bring the food.

Before dinner, there was a tradition in my hometown. We needed to bring the

chicken to take a bow to our ancestors, showing our respect and gratitude. When

the dinner’s ready, we ate happily and talked a lot. Then at night, the families

pasted the New Year’s scrolls and decorated the house. What a harmonious

environment and we enjoyed the family hour. In the next few days, I visited a

lot of relatives. It was a good chance for us to communicate with each

other.

this summer vacation in the past month,this month i and my parents went to Vancouver to visit my friends.

We lodged at a friendss house.

Arrived in Vancouver on the first day,is already in the afternoon, so good friends mother decided to let our two people together to do a dinner .His mother cook the pizza. Hanburger, my mother and i do . In addition, the father is responsible for to buy drinks.

My brother and sister are in charge of eating.

After dinner, i and my friends and his younger brother ang sister to the courtyard behind the big swimming pool, especially fun.

我们高高兴兴的玩了一上午，好容易等来了晚上，我和李想，姐姐不约而同的跑出家门，来到了小区的院子里。我和李想一见，立刻来了一个热烈的拥抱，可是，姐姐一见，却在旁边大吐舌头，惹得我俩怒目圆睁。经过了这戏剧性的场面之后，大家伙们都兴高采烈地玩了起来。

或许一些人等不及了，还没到九点钟就开始放礼花，响声震耳欲聋。我们才不管呢，拿着手花在小区里乱舞，一个接一个，成了小区里一道靓丽的风景。我们大家蹦呀、跳呀，玩得可开心了。李想还做了一件大坏事，那就是拿着手花吓唬我，我怕惹火烧身，急忙连连后退。可还是被石头一绊，全身弄得脏兮兮的，真是气死我了，她们却还笑翻了天，真是可恶！后来，我和李想捡来两根空礼花棒，变着戏法玩起来。李想突发奇想，向我提了一个建议：“我俩来‘开战’，用礼花棒作武器，但不能伤人……。”李想一说完，我俩便开始了“世纪之战”，我一棒打过去，李想一挡，我的棒子变成了双截棍。李想趁我不注意，灵机一动，从我后面打了我一下，然后跑到我前面，趁我往后面看时，又打了我一下，我立刻回击，打到了李想的头，我俩玩得兴起，忽视了姐姐，她气得跑上楼去。

我和李想费了九牛二虎之力也没把她拉下来，真够重量级的。我想：“如果她再长肥一点，应该有够资格去参加胖妞选美赛了。”终于，在我俩的软磨硬泡下，姐姐答应和我们一起下去，结果走到半路又一溜烟没影儿了。

天色已晚，我和李想告别，上楼和爸爸、妈妈一起等待虎年的到来。伴随着新年钟声的敲响，天空即刻被焰火染成了美丽的画布，五彩缤纷，真是美丽极了。火树银花交织在一起，把我们的生活装点得更加美丽，愿我们的明天更美好。
