也许有的人会说："水，真的需要节约吗?你看，这个地球上，有那么多大海、大江、大河，连天上下的雨都是水。”如果你真的这么认为，那就大错特错了。我来告诉你，地球大部分为水所覆盖，但是淡水资源却极其有限，仅占地球总水量的2.5%，而且分布极不均匀，并且我们国家还是一个缺水严重的干旱国家，也是全球人均水资源最贫乏的国家之一。

一片黄土中，赶路的驴车摇摇晃晃地从几十公里拉来几罐并不清澈的水，车旁是孩子们干渴的眼神。再多月不遇的大雨中，孩子们奔跑跳跃，大口大口的喝天上掉下来的雨水。同学们，这样的画面让你惊讶吗?让你心痛吗?你知道我国有多少地区的人们正承受着缺水的煎熬吗?

人可一日无食，但不可一日无水，水对地球和地球上的居民有着巨大的影响。人体有2/3以上是水分，我们每天都要喝水，用来补充流汗和呼吸时失去的水分，以保持健康。一个人一年要喝一吨水才可以维持健康的生命。如果我们现在再不节约用水，将来也许真的会像广告里所说的：世界上最后一滴水，将是我们人类的眼泪。

作为一名小学生，我们虽然不能为节约用水做出什么惊人的大事，但可以从自身做起。例如，看到有人浪费用水，我们可以积极宣传节约用水的意义;看到有的水龙头在滴水，我们可以走过去随手关上;我们可以做好水资源的再次利用，收集自己的洗脸水、洗衣服水冲厕所等。有人做过统计，如果我国13亿人每人节约一滴水，一天就能节约45吨水。这是多么惊人的数字!

同学们，快行动起来吧!让我们携起手来，从现在做起，节约每一滴水，为共同建设美好的家园而努力吧!

Today, I went out with my best friend. When we arrived at the park, it

突然，巨大的冲水声引起了我的注意，我回头一望，只见一位同学，与其他几个人，有说有笑地到洗手台前不知轻重地推开水龙头，巨大的水流冲刷了一切，那同学看都不看，把手往里泡了一下便缩回来，也向食堂走去。

看着他的背影，再看看不断哭泣的水流，我的心仿佛被水冲刷了一般，拔凉拔凉的。

虽然有人会浪费水，但是身边仍有许多人在节约用水。和一位哥哥过年下乡，我们叫了一个小伙伴，在篮球场进行了酣畅淋漓的篮球赛，打得大汗淋漓，往回走，路上遇到了井水，便要洗手，兴冲冲把龙头打开，清凉井水，净涤了躁动的心。

在洗完水之后，我和一个伙伴抱着球就往回跑。“别跑！”哥哥又来叫我们，只见井水哗啦啦在流，哥哥轻轻地关上了龙头，回来说，“水已经够珍贵的，要好好珍惜！”我们二人才意识到了错误，是啊，人类是很矛盾，一方面在提倡节约用水，却又在浪费水，所以我们要从小培养节约用水的好习惯，不要让最后一滴水成为人类的眼泪。

As we know water is made up of our life,we could not leave without water.No water will no we.

Water is needed more and more,because our industry and agriculture produce developed fast.Somewhere water are scare,and some rivers are no water in them.But just little water is polluted,more waste water did not handled and discharge into river.

Around us there are a lot of students dont pay attention to save water,for example: after they washing their face and rinsing the mouth,they dont turn off the water tap .Let the water flowing day and night. What a pity!

It was the second day of our winter holiday. I felt good. I felt Im free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Beijing. So I live alone but I dont feel lonely. But I didnt do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an English daily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours. I thought I was very tired. It was time for dinner. I must go! I am very hungry.

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

万圣节前夕

万圣节前夕是美国人年年都会庆祝的秋季节日。它的意思是“神圣的夜晚”，在每年的10月31日，也就是万圣节前夜。但实际上这不是一个真正的宗教节日，而主要是孩子们的节日。

每年秋天蔬菜成熟可以食用的时候，孩子们就会挑出大个儿的橙色南瓜。然后在南瓜上刻上一张脸，把一根点燃的蜡烛放在里面。看起来就好像有人在向南瓜外面张望。这些灯就叫做“iack-o-lantems”，意思也就是“杰克的灯”。

每年万圣节前夕孩子们还戴上奇怪的面具，穿上吓人的服装。有些孩子把脸刷成怪物。然后他们拿着盒子或袋子挨家挨户串门。每来到一个新房子他们就说：“不款待就捣乱!给钱还是吃的!”大人们就会把用来招待的钱或糖放在他们的袋子里了。

不仅孩子，许多成年人也喜欢万圣节前夕和万圣节前夕晚会。因为这一天他们可以根据自己的想象把自己装扮成名流或幽灵。这会带给他们年轻的快感。
