cutting down trees cause global warming, to some degree. Naturalists compare

forest to human’s lungs. The forests absorb the carbon dioxide and other gas

beings and other living creatures. It’s refreshed the air as well as reduced the

noise. If the air quality is bad, people may die from cancers, or the new

diseases for which they have no immunity. Forests also play an important role in

the prevention of natural disasters. Warmer temperatures cause water to expand

and also create more water by melting polar ice caps. That’s to say, the nations

which near the ocean may have been flooded by the water. But the forests can

prevent water loss and soil erosion, and cool off the global temperatures. It’s

the key to keep the balance of the nature.

Sometimes people only care about money making; they don’t care about the

price we pay for the pollution. When the disaster is around the corner, we may

be afraid and frustrated. The earth, on which our economies have always been

based, is suddenly threatening our existence. All we hope that is this

overpopulated, over industrialized planet can carry on for a longer time. And

maybe, it’s time for us to realize that we should protect the earth, stop

cutting down trees blindly and madly.

The Mid-Autumn Festival has all interesting history. Long ago in one of the

dynasties of China there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not

manage the country well. The people were so angry that some brave ones suggested

killing the king. So they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time

and put them into cakes.

On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the

cakes. When they ate them they discovered the notes. So they gathered together

to make a sudden attack on the king. From then on the Chinese people celebrate

on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat moon cakes in memory of that

important event.

When the Mid-Autumn Festival is near, shop windows are beautifully

decorated. Many moon cakes are displayed for people to buy. People send presents

such aswine, fruits and moon cakes to their friends and relatives. In the

evening of the day, they have a feast. After the feast, they go out to the

garden to look at the moon. The children run and laugh on the streets.

It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. Many poems

have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing

Cellular phones have had a major impact on our lives and the way that we

perform every day tasks. Many of these changes are apparent, while others we may

Twenty years ago, it was not possible to talk to the office while you were at

When we call someone, we are actually calling the person and not a place. This

enables us to be more spontaneous when making plans as you rarely get a busy

signal and unlike a land line telephone, someone is always home. Cell phones

also enable us to call if we are going to be late for an appointment, although

this has led to cell phone users running late more often than those who do not

times are not concrete and use their cell phones to renegotiate their arrival

time.

One of the greatest disadvantages of the cellular phone is the fact that we

do not talk to strangers when traveling anymore. In the past, several people

waiting for a bus would engage in a conversation while they were waiting. People

who traveled the same routes every day might develop friendships along the way.

Finally, everybody is affected by global warming. Therefore, it is

For example they should encourage households to save as much energy as possible

by using more efficient light bulbs or less hot water. They should also

encourage the public to recycle, and this should be compulsory for everyone.

Another way of saving energy is by public transport systems. Governments should

spend money on public transport to make it as easy as possible for the public to

save energy.

In summary, it is clear that there are a lot of things that governments can

do to prevent global warming. They should involve companies, support scientists

and encourage individuals to protect the planet.

Yesterday, my parents were not home. And I had to stay at home by myself for one day and one night. I was very happy at first, because there wouldnt be anyone criticizes my behavior. As the developing of Chinese economy， the problem of protecting environment is being more and more important。 It is a crucial responsibility for us。 If we let this situation go as it is， it would be almost not a health earth for our offspring。 It sounds an alarm to us that we should execute the steps of protecting environment quickly。 Recently， a large number of problems appeared obviously， the security of food， the acid rain， the lack of water， the worse weather， all of all， it is the problem of environment in the final analysis。 The development of society should be the basic of protecting environment， we ought to protect environment by newer technology。 Meanwhile， the protecting environment should play an important role in the development of society。 Accordingly， I argue that we should protect environment in two aspects。 On the one hand， the related laws should be established by government。 On the other hand， the consciousness of protecting environment ought to be publicized in public。 I have an unshakable believe that if we put the problem of protecting environment be the first place， our society would have been developing fast and healthily。

风停了，尘土里带有落花的香气。她摞下一句：“既然你这么认为，那我就是这样的人了。”说完她转身走了，留下我和空旷的操场。

想着曾与我如胶似漆的好朋友就这么离开，不知为何，回想起那些，我很心酸。我们一起去食堂，走在路上常因手挽手被值周教师喝住。下课总是一起下楼去厕所，其实虽在四楼上课，但厕所并不远，可我们总是习惯叫上对方。一旦有谁带点零食，就会被周边的同学抢光，还记得她绕了教室三圈，边逃边吃，最后把剩下的半包全给我。她的数学成绩一向很差，但从没考过不及格。上次还靠在我肩膀上哭了好久，最后眼皮肿了，说要发愤图强了。体育课我最讨厌测试跑步，因为总是会落在最后，她于是跑在我后面“赶”我，她的成绩慢了二十几秒，我却快了十几秒。有时候周末有空再叫上几个同学一起去玩，一起去吃东西，路上有说有笑特别开心，回去之后什么烦心事都抛到九霄云外，继续疯疯癫癫嘻嘻哈哈地活。

可是现在呢，她离开了。我知道，想离开很简单，可我并不希望。她离开了，照样过活。就好像没有地球的太阳，依旧会转。

饭后，我给她写了一张纸条，这是我最后的努力。后来她告诉我，还好只是误会。误会解开了，一切都好。

假使我没有作出最后的努力，假使我不问事实真相，就和她大吵一架，假使她不想再跟我做多余的解释，假使没有这一切，我们的友谊就会到此为止。还好，一切都还来得及。

有时，不要轻易相信表面现象，应该从背后看看问题的本质，这样才不至于丢掉一些珍贵的无价的东西，譬如我难忘的友谊。

这个深秋，落花真美，空气好甜，我们好幸运。
