The Scandinavian countries are much admired all over the world for their enlightened social policies. He has eight lawyer assistants to help him and he examines every single letter in detail. There is nothing secretive about the Ombudsmans work, for his correspondence is open to public inspection. If a citizens complaint is justified, the Ombudsman will act on his behalf. The action he takes varies according to the nature of the complaint. He may gently reprimand an official or even suggest to parliament that a law be altered. The following case is a typical example of the Ombudsmans work.

A foreigner living in a Swedish village wrote to the Ombudsman complaining that he had been ill-treated by the police, simply because he was a foreigner. The Ombudsman immediately wrote to the Chief of Police in the district asking him to send a record of the case. There was nothing in tthe record to show that the foreigners complaint was justified and the Chief of Police strongly denied the accusation. It was impossible for the Ombudsman to take action, but when he received a similar complaint from another foreigner in the same village, he immediately sent one of his lawyers to investigate the matter. The lawyer ascertained that a policeman had indeed dealt roughly with foreigners on several occasions. The fact that the policeman was prejudiced against foreigners could not be recorded in the official files. It was only possible for the Ombudsman to find this out by sending one of his representatives to check the facts. The policeman in question was severely reprimanded and was informed that if any further complaints were lodged against him, he would be prosecuted. The Ombudsmans prompt action at once put an end to an unpleasant practice which might have gone unnoticed.

I left home for school in a hurry on Monday morning, because I had flag-raising ceremony on that morning. When I was nearly arrived at school, I saw an old lady whose hair is all white and she seemed didn’t move smoothly. I worried about that she would have accidents without help. So I help her to go through the road. As a result, I was late for school, but I was very happy.

时间飞逝。一个星期就这么过了。这周我和平时一样除了帮助一老奶奶过马路。星期一早上我匆匆忙忙的就出门去上学了，因为那天早上有升旗仪式。在我快到学校的时候，我看到一个头发全白的老奶奶，而且她行动似乎不是很方便。我担心没有别人的帮助她会出事。所以我帮助她过马路。结果我上学迟到了，但是我很高兴。

Everybody likes smiling．But why do we smile？Smiling makes us attractive．We are drawn to people who smile．Smiling changes our mood，as it can trick the body into feeling better．Smiling is infectious．When someone is smiling they lighten up the room，change the moods of others，and make them happier．Smiling relieves stress．It helps to prevent us from looking tired.

Smiling makes us look healthier．It can bring us energy and pleasure．Smiling makes us become successful．Smiling people appear more confident，and are more likely to be approached．Smiling helps us stay positive．When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that “Life is good！”

So just try smiling our way through the day．Stay away from depression，stress and worry by smiling．Smile when you meet others．Smile in time of difficulty．Smile when you feel sad．Smile wherever you are and whenever you can．

It was Mother’s Day. Sun Zheng thought he should do something for his mother.

He decided to help his mother do some housework. After school he went to a shop

to buy some food on his way home.

When he got home, he did his best to cook some nice food,though he couldn’t

do the cooking well. Thenhe cleaned the room. He felt very tired, but he was

very happy.

When his father and his mother came back and saw the clean rooms and dishes

which weren’t so nice, they were very happy.They had their supper together. His

mother said, "Thank you,my child!"

I have my own room.It is big and nice.There is a bed,a desk and a shelf.The doll is on the bad.The lamp is on the desk.The books are on the shelf.The trash bin is behind the door.The clothes are in the closet.There is a air-conditioner over the closet.Look!There are many pictures on the wall.I love my room very much.
