Mid-autumn festival is one of the most important festivals for Chinese

people. At that time, people will come back home and spend time with their

families. The meaning of this festival is to provide people a chance to get

reunion. Chinese people pay special attention to the family reunion. It is a

good tradition, which is inherited for thousands of years. Mooncake is the

classic food, which can represent this festival. The most exciting moment for me

is to appreciate the moon at the balcony and chat with my families. We eat some

snacks and talk so happily. Mid-autumn Festival is part of Chinese culture and

It was a hot day during my summer holidays in 2003. My mother and I got on the bus which would take us to the village where my grandma lived. It was so hot that I felt very thirsty. Then I began to think of the sweet big watermelons and other fruits in Grandma’s house. I could hardly wait to arrive there and see my grandma.

It took us one more hour to get there. When we walked into the house, Grandma was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen. It seemed that she was very glad to see us, which I knew from the big smile on her wrinkled face. She brought out a big watermelon and cut it. It was so nice to eat the watermelon on such a hot day.

After lunch my mother fell asleep and I asked my grandma to tell me a fairy tale. We sat on the bed and she began to tell it. I listened to her quietly. It was not long before I fell asleep, too. Great changes have taken place in my hometown these years. There used to be old and low houses on the streets,but now you can see people live and work in tall buildings. In the past, you could always see rubbish everywhere. But now the environment is clean and tidy. Many trees are planted on both sides of the street, so the air is very fresh.There were not any buses in my hometown, so most of us used to walk to work or go to school by bike.However, life is much better now. Since I was very small, my parents often took me to the animal zoo. I have

seen many animals and opened my vision. But as I grew up, I started to realize

that it was not reasonable to keep the animals in the zoo. They belong to the

nature and should live in the forest. But it is human nature that capture them

and then keep them in the zoo for earning money. Nowadays, animal park is

advised to be built. It can protect the animals in the nature, at the same time,

Nowadays, more and more students fall in love in middle schools that

worries teachers and parents. As for me, I don’t agree to puppy love. No matter

admit it or not, puppy love will certainly have negative influence on study,

because it takes much time and energy. But the most important is that middle

school students are not mature enough to operate a relationship. The favorable

impression to others may be the momentary impulse that will not last very long

time. The middle school students are so young and unthoughtful to take the

responsibilities of love. What should they do is put their study in priority and

So it does because all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

Failure exists in every stage for everybody. As students, I think the most

common failure would be failing in the exam. Yes, I have failed in the exam for

many times. It is very common, because on one can keep the name of

ever-victorious generals forever. But some students do not figure out this. When

they fail in the exam, they need a long time to recover, even have directly

negative effect on their inner heart. This is not the right way to deal with
