My New Deskmate

My new deskmate is a boy of sixteen. His name is Zhang Gao. He is 1.8

meters tall. His strongly-built body and sun-tanned skin make him look like a

sportsman. He has two big dark eyes under a pair of thick eyebows. It seems that

they are always smiling at you. Compared with my yellow hair, his hair is black

and thick. He speaks a little bit fast but very clearly. However, he likes to

gesture from time to time while hes talking. He has a dream of becoming a famous

actor one day. I believe his dream will come true because of his handsome face

and well-developed figure.

Most people has a sweet home, so have I. I think my home is sweet because

it is my best place to have rest or have fun with my friends or my parents.

I can remember clearly. Once I came back home late because my teacher

didnt want me leave until I finished my homework. At that time, the weather

became colder and the wind became stronger. I was so hungry and cold at that

time! I felt I cant take it any more, so I ran to my home quickly. When I got

my home, I felt much more warmer and happiness than ever before!

August 12，2012 Friday Today， I did housework for grandmother. She is not very healthy and I decide to do housework for her more frequently. And she will feel happy and bee better. Suddenly， an idea hit me that it’s terrible to grow old becuase you have to worry about both your health and others’ opinions. Dont you see the heavy smokes from the big chimneys? Dont you smell the gas from the motors all around the streets? Weve got much dirtier air! The iceburgs are melting from the warmer winter because of the air pollution!

Dont you see there are less lives in the water? Dont you see that we must pay higher cost in water processing? Weve got much darker water running around! The oceans are in danger.

Dont you see the mountains getting bald ? Dont you see our ground becoming hollow ? Weve been exhausting the resources beneath the earth. Our grandchildren will live on nothing.
