The Olympic Opening Ceremony was an international event and the whole world was watching! The event was held in a stadium designed to seat a large group of people.

Then, the other athletes followed by nation in the alphabetical order of the host country’s language. The host country’s athletes came last. So for this coming Olympics 2008, the athletes from China will enter the stadium last.

The chief of state of the host country declared the games open, followed by the raising of the Olympic Flag. Music was played and fireworks were set off in salute. Then, doves were released into the air as a symbol of peace. Runners in cross-country relays brought in the Olympic torch. The running of the torch began four weeks before the Olympic ceremony and thousands of runners took part in this. Planes and ships transported the Olympic torch to each country that lies between Greece and the host country. The most exciting moment of the Olympic ceremony was when the torch entered the stadium and lit the Olympic Flame. The Flame was kept burning until the end of the Olympic games.

The closing ceremony must take place in the stadium after the end of all the events. The flag bearers of the participating delegations and the name-board-bearers enter the stadium in single file. Behind them march the athletes, without distinction of nationality.

The President of the IOC and the President of the OCOG mount the rostrum. To the sounds of the Greek national anthem, the Greek flag is hoisted on the flagpole that stands to the right of the central flagpole used for the winners flags. The flag of the host country is then hoisted on the central flagpole, while its anthem is played. A fanfare then sounds; the Olympic flame is extinguished, and while the Olympic anthem is being played, the Olympic flag is slowly lowered from the flagpole and, unfurled horizontally, carried out of the arena, followed by the flag bearers. A farewell song resounds.

The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) ("black-and-white cat-foot") is a mammal classified in the bear family, Ursidae, native to central-western and southwestern China. When we are children, there are lots of people ask about our dreams, and

our answers most are doctors, policemen, teachers etc. But when we grow up, we

have to face the reality, not everyone would realize childhood dreams, and some

Everybody has his own dream. Some dream of becoming an overnight millionaire,others hope to jump to fame at once. As for me, my dream is more realistic,to be a tourist guide. I know this is not a easy work for me to complete.However, I will go after it to the best of my ability.

For a start, I have to focus my attention to the classes.Thus I can have a good command of knowledge in tourism. Besides, I must take the National Examinatiion for Tourist Guide for a certificate. Moreover, I need to look through books or magazines to know more about places of interests.Last but not least, I have to take an interst in history or geography no matter how boresome I feel they are.

As a whole, a lot of things have to be done to realize my dream. But I take a positive attitude towards the way that lead to my dream. I believe with my dogged efforts and perseverance I can make it come true.

每个人都有他的梦想,有人梦想一夜暴富,有人希望立马成名.而我的梦想则更现实一些,就是成为一名导游.我知道完成此项工作并非易事.然而,我会尽一切努力去追寻我的梦

首先我必须专心听课,能够熟练地掌握旅游知识.此外,我得参加全国导游资格考试,获取导游证书.而且,我还需要浏览书本或杂志,更多地了解旅游胜地.最后,我要培养对历史、地理的兴趣无论觉得它们是多么的枯燥乏味.

I had a good time last weekend. On Sunday morning, I stayed at home and did my homework. The homework wasnt difficult. After that, I played volleyball with my friends. It was tired, but very exciting. In the afternoon, I cooked dinner for my parents. It was a little difficult, I think. After dinner, I went to swim in the river. I can swim very well. I had a relaxing weekend.
