About 5 km(3 miles)south of Sanya City in Hainan Province lies a hill extending in the shape of an enthralling deer looking back. This hill is the very same one mentioned in the legend of the Li Minority Group. There once lived a diligent and brave hunter in the Wuzhi Mountain area so the legend goes. Walking along，you will see a pavilion called Shanmeng(unalterable love)Pavilion containing the Shanmeng Tablet，which corresponds to the four characters mentioned before. At the top of the hill，towers a twelve-meter(39 feet)high granite statue.The statue is really unique in its design;consisting of a deer looking back，flanked by the young Li hunter and the beautiful fairy girl，its a visual reminder of the memorable legend.

The area around the statue has been turned into a park，called Luhuitou Park. The park contains the Observation Station for Halleys Comet，the white Tingchao Pavilion(a pavilion for listening to the tide).the romantic Lover Island and Monkey Hill among other attractions.

Protecting the Wild Animals

Last week, I saw a very impressive documentary about panda. A professor studied panda in the early 1980s went to the wild life and kept trace of wild giant panda for many years. As a result, he found that it was human being that made these lovely animals die out. At that time, many people believed that giant panda became less because of the low rate of newborn babies. But it was not true. People cut trees for making profit at that time. Panda lose homeland and they lacked of food. Thanks to these valuable data, the government took the policy to protect the animals. So today, the number of giant panda is increasing. People realize the importance of protecting the environment and it is the best way to protect wild animals, they are the indispensable part of the nature.

Have been a travelling by train for about 3h, the journey was tiring. I arrived in our provinces capital city-Nanning,a green city in south China.

I met Mrs.Long,then she showed me around the downtown including Walmart,Xingning walking street,the bund,ect. There is a drinks machine in the street that offers passers by free drinkable water. They had the same thing in my city, but people used the water to wash their hands which ruined the machines. On the contrary, Ningningese tend to protect every piece of public property. When a little boy wanted to wash his hands, his mother stopped him immediately and told him," **,you should not use the water to wash your hands,the water is for drinking."

In the evening I walked to see the Guangxi Peoples Hall and Mendzhidao shopping mall. The next day,I cycled to Langdong new district where the Nanning international exhibition is located. The exhibition is built for CAEXPO. The bike broke during my way back,but a student from Guangxi University kindly gave me a lift. On the last day i got up early to go to Qingxiushan Park.

There I enjoyed the scenery and prayed to the buddhas for my future.

Our motherland has a long history, many traditional festivals, and some unique folk customs. But my favorite traditional festival is the Spring Festival. Chinese New Years eve, the Spring Festival also arrived, the New Year began.
