Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. 袭人本姓花，是贾宝玉的大丫鬟。她原是贾母之婢，名唤珍珠。贾母对她的评价是“心地纯良，肯尽职任”，因此“授予”了她“服侍宝玉”的重任。她也是任劳任怨，尽心尽职——把女孩子家的体贴与细微发挥到了极致。亲自在繁忙的琐事之余为宝玉做肚兜，五彩精美的“鸳鸯戏莲”图饰，令人爱不释手;宝玉午睡时，她便坐在床下为他赶虫驱蝇;日常生活中的穿衣、梳洗、吃饭她均细心侍候;甚至在宝玉小时，她把床铺移至宝玉房中，方便夜间周到照顾……虽然怡红院里不乏伶俐机敏的晴雯、随和好性的麝月、温顺文静的秋纹，但宝玉最看重最依恋的还是袭人——偶尔袭人回去，他还巴巴儿地赶去瞧她，说：“我还替你留着好东西呢，快些走罢。”可见袭人之诚，宝玉之真，主仆感情非常深厚。

常言道“木秀于林，风必摧之”，袭人如此受宝玉的敬重和依恋，极可能会引起其他人的妒意，然而她却凭着最本真的善良、周到的礼数、随和大方的处事态度，博得了众人的欣赏，对宝玉的“忠”并非百依百顺的“愚忠”，常劝宝玉“要作出个喜读书的样子，别乱说混话”，也不可“毁僧弄道，钓脂弄粉，和姐妹们没大没小”，她是真心为宝玉的前途着想;和其他房的丫头，如紫鹃、鸳鸯、雪雁、平儿等，她也是以诚相待——莺儿偶来宝玉这里串门儿，起初受了冷落，袭人便悄悄把她带到厨房嬉闹了一会子，免去了莺儿的尴尬;晴雯遭人诽谤被王夫人赶出贾府，袭人还托人给她送去衣服和银子;平儿被凤姐冤枉换了一顿打，袭人也是柔声细语地开导劝解，带她到怡红院整衣理妆;她心胸宽厚，即使受了奶娘李嬷嬷的闲气，宝玉要为她鸣不平，她还百般安慰，信奉“息事宁人，多一事不如少一事”的“信条”，不好斗，不高傲，更不会仗势欺人。难怪大观园最刁钻最多嘴的老婆子都叹袭人“是个没话说的好丫头”。

诚然，“金无足赤，人无完人”，袭人也有私心，有缺点的。当凤姐实施“调包计”为宝玉娶入宝钗时，她出过大力，还满心欢喜地暗叹“这样配才是一对儿呢”。她素性瞻前顾后，优柔寡断，为了贾家和花家，委曲求全地嫁给了蒋玉菡。

但是，瑕不掩瑜。袭人，这个清纯少女，如同那一束“满天星”，灵巧洁白，甘做配角，在错综复杂的大观园的舞台上开放出一簇让人留恋的风景。就连曹公也心存怜惜吧，不然怎会在“好似食尽鸟投林，落了片白茫茫大地真干净”之后，终给了她一个崭新的开始?!

老人圣地亚哥是一位老渔民，老人与海就讲述了他在连续八十四天都没有捕到一条鱼的情况下，终于独自一人钓上了一条大马林鱼，但这条鱼庞大的像一座山丘，所以将老渔民圣地亚哥的小渔船整整拖了几天几夜叉筋疲力尽，被老人杀死绑在了小船的一头。老人返航的时候却遇到了鲨鱼，他应用的抵抗鲨鱼的攻击。可最后回到港湾的时候，大鱼只剩下鱼头、鱼尾和一条脊骨。

这篇小说描写了老人在中亚紫霞仍保持着优雅的风度。作者这样写突出了老人威严冷静的性格特点，就像我们小学五年级的一篇课文《桥》中的老支书一样。面对鲨鱼的攻击，老人并没有吓呆了，而是沉着的应对鲨鱼疯狂的攻击才保住了自己的性命。如果老人并没有沉着的应对鲨鱼的攻击，那老人将会一无所有（宝货老人的生命）这篇小说主要告诉我名字一个人应用有的最宝贵的精神—人可以被毁灭，却不可以被打败。圣地亚哥也因此而成为了文学史上最着名的“硬汉”之一

所以在生活上我们要学习老渔民圣地亚哥的品格与精神，才能成为对住过有用的人。

寒假里，我读了《爱的教育》，懂得了很多的道理。其中最让我感动的一篇是：《弗兰帝的母亲》。

文章讲得是：有一天正在上宗教课，弗兰帝的母亲闯了进来，原来是她来求校长让弗兰帝继续在学校念书的，如果他不念书了，他的父亲就会宰了他，经过弗兰帝的母亲再三恳求，校长同意了，让弗兰帝回到了座位，母亲下楼时咳嗽了几声，可是，弗兰帝却还在笑。

弗兰帝的母亲当着大家的面，求校长能让弗兰帝继续在学校念书，因为她爱弗兰帝，虽然弗兰帝不听话，但是她不愿看到弗兰帝的父亲宰了他，更希望自己的儿子能回到校园，和同学们学到一些知识，能成为一个对社会有用的人，有所出息。母爱是伟大的，无私的，我们一定要孝敬父母，长大后要报答父母的养育之恩。

这个故事告诉我们小学生一个道理，在学校里念书一定要听从老师的教导，遵守学校的纪律，上课的时候不开小差，认真听讲，不和同学上课讲话，认真倾听同学发言，会回答的问题就举手回答。要好好学习，掌握好所学知识，为自己的目标奋斗，做一个对社会有用的人，让大家对我们刮目相看。

I”d never given much thought to how I would die. But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go. " When reading such moving words, I am completely absorbed in this splendid novel --- Twilight. The person who had said such moving words was a 17-year-old girl --- Bella, who was a high school student. After reading the whole novel, what impresses me most is not the mysterious vampires family, but the kindhearted and brave girl --- Bella. Bella was a 17-year-old girl who has experienced her parents” divorce. In order not to be an obstacle to her mother”s happiness with her stepfather, Bella firmly chose to move into a new city --- Forks to live with her father. Even though she knew that what was waiting for her was the new and strange circumstance, Bella still decided to face all of them fearlessly, which makes me know that Bella is a really thoughtful and considerate girl.

As a matter of fact, Bella was just an ordinary human girl who would grow old as time went by and die one day, but Edward was an immortal vampire who had an exceptional and unique strength of reading people”s minds. Actually, some people may wonder why Edward would fall in love with such a delicate human girl, while others may hold a doubtful attitude towards their love story. However, to my mind, I strongly believe that Bella and Edward can lead a happy life. About one thing I am absolutely positive, they can lead a happy life and they needs to confront with various of hardships and setbacks. But why am I so positive about their love story? Let me have an analysis!

Bella is a kindhearted and independent girl who never goes with tide. She always sticks to her own way of doing everything. On her first day to school, Edward came across with Bella, and at that moment Edward could not move his eyes on Bella at his first sight on her. I clearly know that it was Bella”s unique and special character that drew Edward”s attention. In Edward”s mind, Bella was a natural girl with a kind heart. After several days” struggle, Edward could not prevent himself from caring about her and loving her though he knew perfectly well that it would be a fateful and deadly thing for a vampire to fall in love with a human girl. From this, it can be seemed that what a charismatic and glamorous girl Bella was.

When Edward said to Bella, "I don”t have the strength to stay away from you forever." I know, Edward had already been loving Bella deeply.

When Bella answered "I”ll be with you forever, Edward." I can realize their love has already been surpassed human in human”s innermost feelings.

When Edward said, "You don”t know how long I”ve waited for you, Bella" I know, Bella is the most suitable one for him, only with Bella can Edward gains the real happiness.

When Edward swore, "You”re my life now, Bella." I think all the lovers will be overwhelmed by such impressive words at that moment, as well as I. I know, from then on, Edward would move heaven and earth to protect Bella. There is no doubt that Bella is happy when being with Edward.

To be honest, Twilight is the best romance novel that I”ve ever read. There is no much flourish in it, but there are lots of touching and thrilling plots between Edward and Bella. I still remember every time Bella was in danger, Edward could helped her out in time, which made Bella feel so grateful and become interested in him gradually.

There was a time when Bella was on her way home from a bookstore alone, suddenly a gang of ruffians molested her, Bella felt helpless and hopeless. Fortunately, Edward appeared as a hero and rescued the beauty, Bella. At that moment, I couldn”t help praising, that Edward was such a thoughtful gentleman who cares about the person he loves at any time. No wonder Bella would love him.

Then when Edward told Bella he had a super strength that he could read every person”s mind except Bella”s one. You can not imagine that, Bella”s first reaction to it was --- "Is there something wrong with me?" Hearing that, Edward smiled and said, "I tell you I can read minds, and you think there is something wrong with you." At that time, Edward knew Bella was a kind girl indeed, who would not be worried and scared when hearing such unusual truth, but just try to find the mistakes of herself.

Once Edward took Bella to his home to meet his family members, instead of being afraid, Bella asked Edward what if his families didn”t like her. Edward was so surprise to hear that and said to Bella, "you are worried not because you”ll be in a house full of vampires, but because you think they won”t approve of you? " Then, I know, Bella has never treated Edward as a different kind. May I ask, how can Edward refuse such a kind and lovely girl. When Edward took Bella to fly through the forest in his amazing speed, I think no more girls can refuse such a romantic man.

Bella pursued the true love belong to her bravely, while Edward was giving all his love to the one he loved. I know this is love.

All in all, romantic love always has a happy ending. When Bella went through life and death, when Edward experienced the cruel ordeal, seeing they were dancing romantically at last, I can say their love will be going on.

翻开《安徒生童话》，我被书中精彩的《丑小鸭》一文所深深吸引。丑小鸭原是一个被遗忘在一棵牛蒡底下的天鹅蛋，一只母鸭把他当作一只鸭蛋孵化出来。他一出生来到这个世界，因为长得丑陋，就处处挨啄、被排挤成为全体鸡鸭嘲笑对象。鸭儿们咬他，小鸡们啄他，他忍受不了这样的痛苦，离开了这里。他又一次被野鸭讥笑，被老母鸡、雄猫为难，被女主人用火钳夹，还险些被猎人用枪打死，差点儿被野狗吃掉，忍饥挨饿，这些都是丑小鸭的苦难的经历。

每当我看到丑小鸭所受到的这些不公平的待遇，我真恨鸭妈妈身边这些小鸭们，我生气它们如此的排斥丑小鸭，我生气它们如此的没有同情心，我更生气的是丑小鸭这样的软弱无能，怎么不进行反抗……看着看着，我却惊奇地发现：书中的丑小鸭面对苦难，是如此的坚强。真让我对其刮目相看。因为它并没有绝望，也没有害怕，而是坚持不懈的努力，这一切，缘于他心中拥有一份崇高的理想。就是这种理想使他克服重重困难，最终变成了一只美丽、高贵的白天鹅。

故事的结局是圆满的，我不仅为丑小鸭变成了白天鹅感到高兴，更为他满怀希望、不屈不挠、争取自由的精神所深深感动。读了《丑小鸭》后，我懂得了这样一个道理：生活并不是一帆风顺的，往往会面对一些困难险阻，而作为我们新世纪的独生子女们，面对的困难会更多。精神上，学业上的竞争，父母的希望，长辈的嘱托……都时刻缠绕在我们身边，这需要我们有一种毅力坚持下去。使我更加明白了：一个人只要有理想，并依靠自己的坚定信念，为之努力，即使身处险境也不要紧，因为逆境总是短暂的，幸福的天空是要我们自己努力争取。放眼未来，现在我们生活在一个与丑小鸭截然不同的环境中，我们的生活是多么美好。我一定要努力读书，去实现我们的理想，将来为社会作出贡献，成为参天大树。

我国文化源远流长，博大精深。在五千年的历史长河中，王朝更迭，合久必分，分久必合。《三国演义》描写的时期就是中国历史上一个四分五裂、群雄逐鹿的年代，在这动荡时期，涌现出一位位英雄人物，流传着一个个流芳千古的传奇故事。

东汉末年，黄巾起义，彻底动摇东汉政府统治，后董卓专权，飞扬跋扈，致使汉室凋零，人民陷入水深火热之中。“忠臣被逐于庙堂之高，壮士惨死于锋刃之端，贤良空老于林泉之下，何其怪哉!”讲的就是这个道理吧。正所谓“兴，百姓苦;亡，百姓苦”

那个血雨腥风的年代早已悄然过去，通过这本书，让我们又回到过去，眼前飞扬着一个个鲜活的面容，重温那金戈铁马的历史画卷，体验那一幕幕激动人心的时刻。

他，挟天子以令诸侯，先灭董卓后灭吕布，大破李傕和郭汜，又在官渡之战以少胜多，大破袁绍，而后平马超、灭张鲁，远征乌桓，统一北方。“宁教我负天下人，不教天下人负我”暴露出他的狭隘;官渡之战以少胜多突显出他的智谋。可是，赤壁一战，二十万大军顷刻化为乌有，损失惨重，奠定三国鼎立。他生性多疑，神医华佗为他治病，他竟然怀疑华佗要谋害他，遂杀死了这位神医。这就是乱世奸雄——曹操。

他，被刘备不辞辛劳、思贤若渴的精神所感动，为刘备制定建国策略;为联合孙吴共同抵抗曹操，他舌战江东群儒;三气周瑜，智取荆襄九郡，又进军益州，使刘备三分天下有其一。也曾七擒孟获，安定后方;六出祁山，誓复汉室，多次击退曹军，因积劳成疾，壮志未酬，病死军营，“鞠躬尽瘁，死而后已”印证了他的一生。连魏国司马懿也赞叹他是“天下奇才”。这便是卧龙先生——诸葛亮。

他，勇猛刚毅，义重如山。“桃园三结义”，“身在曹营心在汉”，毕生追随刘备，为刘备鞍前马后。他武艺高强，颇有谋略：温酒斩华雄，杀颜良、诛文丑，为曹操解白马之围;过五关、斩六将，单刀赴会，水淹七军，可谓所向披靡，英勇无敌。然在无数次胜利面前，他渐渐滋生骄傲情绪，最后败走麦城，兵败被杀。这便是三国名将——关羽。

此外，这本书还塑造了众多栩栩如生的形象，“喝断长坂水倒流”的张翼德，“宝刀不老”、“百步穿杨”的黄汉升，骁勇善战的赵子龙等等。

《三国演义》开创我国历史小说的先河，其中名篇数不胜数，“桃园三结义”、“三顾茅庐”等故事早已烂熟于心，耳熟能详。“赤壁之战”透露出的智谋更令人惊叹不已：孔明江东辩群儒，七星坛上借东风，再加上黄盖的苦肉计、庞统的连环计，才使得那曹操上当，才会取得如此大的胜利。正因为这些精彩的故事情节，《三国演义》才成为我国古代灿烂文化中的一部分，才真正让我们感受到我国文化的璀璨。

“滚滚长江东逝水，浪花淘尽英雄……”，每当这首《临江仙》出现在我的视野里，耳畔就仿佛响起古典剧《三国演义》中杨洪基那深沉而雄浑的音调，令人神往，令人神思。心底平静的湖面也泛起美妙的涟漪，思想也像插上了翅膀一样随着歌声穿越千年时光，去追溯令人向往的历史……而这，都缘自《三国演义》——心中永远的经典。

《三国演义》是一部历史，一部详尽而宏大的历史。它记载了从东汉末年黄巾之乱到公元280年约110多年的历史。它被学者们列为“四大名著”之一，而它也确实无愧于这一美誉。翻开它，就犹如展开了一幅巨大的历史画卷。

品读三国，掩卷凝思，一个个英杰才俊在我脑海中翻腾：一方霸主如曹操、孙权、刘备、袁绍;博学多才的诸葛亮、庞统、徐庶、张昭;骁勇善战的关羽、张飞、赵云、马超、黄忠、吕布等等。这些人或奸诈，或忠厚，或暴躁，或机智，形态各异，不胜枚举，他们身上的英雄气概渲染着一代又一代雄健的国民，久久难以消逝。

展开三国风云历史，最值得一提的要数闻名遐迩的“赤壁之战”。精彩的草船借箭突显诸葛军师“上至天文，下至历史”的神才谋略;周瑜打黄盖——一个愿打一个愿挨，赤胆忠心的大将黄盖为保全大局，不惜上演苦肉计，假降曹操，为火烧赤壁告捷打下头阵;还有风流倜傥的大都督周瑜，虽足智多谋、英姿勃发，只可惜心胸狭窄，最后大业未成身先去，活活气死在江东。

就这样，《三国演义》我读了很多遍，对书里的很多经典故事更是倒背如流，从中也得到很多启示，最重要的一点，就是：知识改变命运。知识，在任何时候都是必不可少的!诸葛亮制造的木牛流马大败曹军;刘叶发明的投石机大败袁绍;诸葛亮布下的八卦阵更是所向无敌!看来，在那个战火纷飞的年代，谁拥有了知识，谁就掌握了战场的主动权;谁拥有了知识，谁就能轻而易举获得战斗的胜利!

同样，当今世界，谁领先，谁获胜;谁落后，谁挨打。一个个惨痛的例子告诉我们：只有发奋图强，好好学习，才能掌握更多的知识，才能学到更多的新科技，才能让我们的祖国更加繁荣、富强!

《水浒传》是我国第一部农民起义题的小说。它不仅描述了一个个作恶多端，欺压百姓的害民贼，而且也描述了一个个劫富挤贫、铤而走险的好汉，他们被那些大大小小的统治者，上至宋朝皇帝、高官显宦，下至恶霸地主、差役爪牙，逼得无法再生活下去，走投无路，只好走上反抗的道路。全书中最让我记忆犹新的，还算是英雄好汉武松醉后打虎的故事了。

《水浒传》中那些紧张曲折又有生活气息的故事;那些英雄的人物，永远都活在我们的心中，永不磨灭!

他，是一位抗日时期的著名将领，严于律己，正直勇敢，带领的部队曾被誉为“铁军”，而更令人敬佩的，是他的革命精神与爱国情怀!

1931年，他因积极抗日反对蒋介石被蒋介石逼迫下野，到国外“考察实业”，实际上是被夺取军权，防止抗日。可他到了美国就接二连三受到意想不到的刺激，很多人歧视中国人，对日本人却奉若神明。一天，他往国内寄衣物，而邮局职员竟说世界上已经不存在中国了，他顿时怒不可遏，刚要发作，陪同人劝到：“你为什么不说自己是日本人呢?只要说了就可受到礼遇。”他当场怒斥：“你觉得当中国人丢脸吗?可我觉得当中国人光荣!”为了维护民族尊严，他找了一块木板，用毛笔写上“我是中国人”几个大字，并仔细地在下面注上英文，将其挂在胸前。他挺着胸膛，昂首阔步地穿过围观的外国人，显现着中华民族的尊严。

1934年，他被国民党逮捕，面对“立时枪决”的命令，他平静地向敌人要来纸和笔，挥笔疾书，写下了自己坎坷的一生，揭露了蒋介石的种种罪行，在给夫人的遗嘱中写道：“夫今死矣，是为时代而牺牲……”接着，他披上斗篷，从容不迫地走向刑场，以地作纸，枯枝为笔，写下了一首感天动地、浩然正气的绝命诗：“恨不抗日死，留作今日羞。国破尚如此，我何惜此头!”然后他声色俱厉地对执行官喝令：“我为抗日而死，为革命而死，不能跪下挨枪，死后也不能倒下，给我拿把椅子来!”他坐定后，又喝道：“到前面开枪!共产党要死得光明正大，决不能在背后挨枪，我要亲眼看着蒋介石的子弹是怎样打死我的!”当特务在他面前颤抖着举起枪时，他振臂高呼：“中国共产党万岁!打倒日本帝国主义!中国革命万岁!”

他，是“一个有骨气的中国人。”他有着革命精神，将一生献给革命;他有着强烈的爱国情怀，国难当头，他挺身而出，光荣献身。他做的一切，是为了捍卫民族尊严，振兴中华民族。他的伟大事迹与精神震撼着一代代中国人，他的名字，就叫做——吉鸿昌!
