四岁时，我开始独立阅读书籍，不过那时翻阅的大多是一些以画为主，文字为辅的儿童读物，里面的文字尽管十有九不认识，但我并不觉得乏味，当遇到一些不认识的字时，我会主动向爸爸妈妈请教，在日积月累的阅读中，让我认识了很多字。为了更好地阅读，我还专门让爸爸给我买了一本不同寻常的书“新华字典”，我每天都会好奇的翻阅它，看着里面大大小小的字，让我感受到我们中国汉字的神奇，更加激起了我读书的兴趣。

到了上学的年龄，文字已不再是我读书的障碍。

上小学的几年中，课余时间里我特别喜欢阅读我国古典小说，尤其是四大名着我读了多遍。在阅读《三国演义》时，书中的故事情节深深地吸引着我，一段时间让我爱不释手，对书中所描写的忠勇双全的关羽，足智多谋的诸葛亮，生性多疑的曹操印象深刻。

从反复的阅读中，我对三国时古人用兵打仗的计谋深为感叹。比如说在“官渡之战”中，曹操所率军队寡不敌众，但其全面分析了战争局势后，集中优势兵力奇袭袁军粮仓，直捣要害，一举击溃敌军，改变了这场战争的结局，书写了以少胜多、以弱胜强的战争案例。曹操的临危不惧，反败为胜，令人折服。

进入初中，我开始对政治类的书籍感兴趣，对书中所阐述的观点和立场都会引起我深深地思考，有时甚至有一种想和作者进行政治观点探讨和辩论的冲动。现在每当空闲时，我总喜欢阅读一些这方面的相关书籍，从中了解国内国际政治风云变幻，让我自得其义、自得其乐。

读书已经成为了我的爱好和乐趣。

芒果，是我养的一只小奶猫，2个月大。它十分可爱，让我来跟你们说一说吧！

芒果的肚子和四爪上的皮毛是白色的，其他地方覆盖着的都是黄色，背脊上还有深浅相间的条纹，所以大家管它叫橘猫。它的两只眼睛在白天时，瞳孔缩小，就像两颗黄色的玻璃珠子，夜晚黑色的瞳孔放大，又像两颗黑宝石，乌溜乌溜的直打转。四爪毛茸茸的，里面藏着几个粉红色的小肉垫，呈梅花状，趁它睡着时摸一摸，温暖柔软又有弹性。它的两只三角形的小耳朵，从正面看可以看到内耳的肉粉色，它们大多时候是直立起来的，但熟睡或害怕时却耷拉下来，变成了“飞机耳”。小嘴巴张开时，可以看到它锋利的尖齿，不张开时，嘴角弯弯，像在笑。

芒果从小就聪明。刚到我们家的时候，大小便很随意，到了第三天，它居然就学会了使用猫砂，从此，再也没有乱拉大便，它把自己打理的干干净净，我们都很愿意抱它，更喜欢它了。

它还很机灵。就算外界声音很大，它都可以忽略不计，照样睡觉，照样玩耍。可是，只要我们去给芒果准备食物，哪怕发出再轻微的声音，它就立刻从沉睡中起来，或者停止玩耍，眼睛瞬间睁的大大的，一骨碌跑到我们身边，眼巴巴的看着我们，一边在我们脚边打转，一边撒娇的直叫。

芒果作为一只猫，绝大部分时候举止优雅。在地上步行时，四肢走成一条直线，悄无声息，就是那种走T台的超级模特也要向它学习的猫步。跳跃的时候，身体轻盈的像只小燕子，轻而易举的达到它想要去的地方。可是，一到吃饭的时候，它就变的十分生猛，狼吞虎咽，一口气吃完，毫无风范。熟睡时，姿态更加放肆，露出雪白的肚皮，四脚朝天。我想着它平时那么优雅，不禁笑了出来：真是天壤之别啊！

虽然它只是一只宠物猫，可是我可不敢小看它。每次拿出猫玩具，在它面前晃一晃，当它被吸引住的时候，首先它会伏在地上，眼睛和头颅紧跟着玩具晃动，静静的等待时机。看准了后，突然，它箭一般的冲出去，一跃而起，扑向玩具。一旦芒果成功抓到那个玩具，它就立即翻倒在地，两只前爪紧紧抓住玩具，同时用两只后爪用力的蹬，并张大嘴巴开始撕咬。这一套动作，可是它的狩猎本能，我相信，如果芒果生活在野外，它一定是个捕鼠高手。

家!家?家是什么? Home! What is the home?

朋友笑说：“家，家不就是一套居住的房子吗不?笨呀你!这都不知道。”家的定义果真如此吗?若真是这样，那么，那一套套待售的空房不也算一个个家了吗?但，按照正常的思维来思考，任何人都会认为这是错的。所以呢，家并不指那居住的地方——房屋。房屋可以为你提供住所，可以为你遮风挡雨，但绝不就是你的家!那么，家到底是怎样一个定义呢?

朋友想想，说：“家，是拥有家人。”这种解释似乎是正确了的，但，依然不够完整，依然不正确。你想，如果一个人拥有了家人，但家人之间的关系却非常紧张，时常明争暗斗，时常为了某一事情，某一事物争得昏天暗地，闹得鸡飞狗跳，家人之间彼此形同陌生人，犹如仇人。这样，这个人他拥有了家人，但他拥有了家了吗?我的认为是，他还是要归属于没有家的人的。家，也并不指拥有家人。

听到这，朋友皱起眉头，沉思了。好长一段时间过去了。她以我为人太过于刁钻，满足不了我为由，向我“投降”，要我说出答案。我笑了笑说：其实你的第二个答案已差不多正确了!家，就是家人再加上爱!有家人，不足为奇。一般来说，几乎每个人都会有家人。

即便是孤儿，他也拥有家人，只不过他的家人不在他身边罢了。然而有家人，还有爱，那就不是每个人都拥有的了。当家人拥有了爱，他们会关心，照顾彼此，他们会宽容，理解，谅解彼此，他们不会勾心斗角，他们不会全副武装对待彼此。这样下来的结果是，他们会拥有幸福，快乐，欢笑和共同的默契，与此同时，他们也就拥有了家，拥有了一个真真正正的家。一个家=家人+爱。

我话音刚落，朋友便笑了起来，说：“看你多刁钻，自己的答案还不是存有漏洞。家的定义除了你说的家人与爱，应该还要加上房屋吧!没有房屋，家不也不成家了吗?”我摇了摇头。家是可以不需要房屋的!房屋只是为家提供一个可以居住的地方罢了!它与家是不挂钩的。

只要有家人，有爱存在，没有房屋也可以是一个家。家不一定要有一个看得见摸得着的标志，甚至于家人也不一定非得真真实实存在着，只要心中存有家人，存有爱，我们亦可大呼“我有一个家”。家可以存在我们的心中，即便我们的家人不在身边，但只要我们的心牢记着他们，我们的心深爱着他们，这就足矣!一个家就足以形成，就足以存活!

真正的家无需任何物质成分，仅需要爱与家人——你对家人的爱以及家人对你的爱!

端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of may in the lunar calendar.

Every family needs to make zongzi. There are also interesting dragon boat races!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

fragrance of zongzi was floating all over the house, making my mouth water

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

Its really memorable!

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

Thanks for your letter which finally caught up with me in London. I suppose youre keen to hear how the trip has been so far. So heres a short description of whats happened.

Well, you remember we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight the first thing we did was to have a good, long sleep. And after that?a good meal to make up for all that horrible airline stuff!

The first real day of our holiday was spent just walking around London to get a feel of the place. After that, however, we were more particular and planned each day carefully.

First, we looked at all the historical sights, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum and the National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. You should make sure to go there when you visit England.

After we had seen a lot of London, we flew to Paris. A t first, we didnt like the place-I suppose because it was so different from London. Later, though, we began to really love it and started to appreciate its differentness.

The final stage of our trip is a visit to Rome, after which we will be staying in Singapore for two days before returning to Australia.

In the hospital, Jack says nothing at first. When theyre leaving , he says to Mr. Black, "You look fine. The doctor says youre going to die, but I dont think so. "

还有一次，我俩一起去新园打篮球。我一到球场就对他说：“我们单挑吧，早就想挑战你了!”

他爽快地答应了：“好呀，看看咱俩谁厉害。”我们立刻投球抢发球权。我首先抢到了发球权。

一会儿，我就投进了两个球，他却一个球也没进，但他依然打得很带劲。

当我再一次抢篮板的时候，一不小心，我摔倒了，脚被扭伤了，站都站不起来，好疼啊!

我的家乡其实是个很美丽的地方!那里有两个小公园，一个叫山水美居，一个叫小公园，还有一个地方是回族清真寺，那里是一座很美丽的城堡。

大理州永平县的美食有黄焖鸡、稀油粉、烧饵块、沙锅饵丝。那里的玩的和吃的还有很多，我这次说不完，下次吧!

我有一只小乌龟，我给它取了一个非常不好听的名字叫臭虫，它是我和妈妈去市场买菜的时候看到的，我非常的喜欢，妈妈就给我买下了。

臭虫非常的可爱，它有一个椭圆形的头，没有耳朵，但是它有一双又圆又小的眼睛。它的鼻子特别的小，几乎看不见。它的嘴巴有点尖，它一张嘴里根本看不见牙齿。

它的背上有个坚硬的壳，真像它的小房子。它的四肢很短，上面还有尖尖的指甲，要是它爬到你的身上你准会笑，因为太痒了！它的尾巴以前特别的细，现在因为吃得太多的原因，长肥了很多，所以连尾巴也变粗变肥了。

它只要饿了就会往外爬，出来找吃的。每天我只要有空就会逗臭虫玩，它很有灵性，把它放在高处往下爬，当爬到桌子边缘的时候它会探出头来看看是否有危险，如果它认为有危险就会往后退。但是你要用手接住它，它会毫不犹豫往下跳。这就是我的小乌龟—臭虫。
