作为中国人，我们要爱护国旗，国旗比生命更重要。因为我们是在国旗下长大的，所以我们不光要爱护国旗，更要爱护我们美丽的祖国。祖国给了我们美好的生活环境，让我们每天过着无比幸福的生活。因此，我们要爱护祖国，要为祖国做出贡献，要为国旗增光添彩。

记得在我一年级的时候，我们学校举办了一场入队仪式。那时我还小，不懂得红领巾是干什么的，我就一点也不珍惜，看着后面高年级的哥哥姐姐们在望着国旗，这么严肃庄严的表情。我心想：“这些哥哥姐姐们这么严肃干么吗?真弄不懂他们。在主席台上还有人演讲，好无聊呀，还要唱国歌，做手语版队歌。在那么猛烈的太阳下，我们还在那底下晒这么久。现在佩戴红领巾环节终于开始啦。”我没听见，还在那乱揉红领巾。一个大姐姐看到后立即过来阻止我，只见那个大姐姐像我微微一笑，拿起我手中的红领巾，先向我敬了少先队礼，边系边对我说：“现在你也不小了，红领巾是少先队员的标志，它是五星红旗的一角，是用烈士的鲜血染成的，我们一定要好好爱惜它。”那时，我还似懂非懂，系上后，我们两一起敬队礼，此时我也光荣地成为了一名少先队员了!转眼间，我四年级了，随着我年龄的变化我现在慢慢懂得了当时那位姐姐对我说的话。理解了里面包含的含义。

我们就是祖国的一朵花、一棵草。从现在开始，我们要好好学习，长大了为祖国做出贡献，为我们国旗增光添彩。我们要感谢祖国，让我们能健康快乐地茁壮成长，亲爱的祖国，我爱您!
