I once heard a moving story about a mother. Two children were drawn into

the flood and the situation was very dangerous. Their mother jumped into the

water without hesitation. But the mother couldnt swim at all. Jumping into the

water means she might lose her life. But at that time she had no time to think

about herself. She just wanted to try all means to save her children. Maybe her

courage touched the God. The miracle happened. She finally succeeded in saving

her both children. And she, of course, felt extremely exhausted.

My friends, mother’s love is the greatest love. Mother’s love is the safest

love. No matter you are happy or depressed, rich or poor, mother’s love will

Dear Mr. Seaton， Thank you very much for taking me with you on that

splendid outing to London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or

any of the other famous sights. If Id gone alone, I couldnt have seen nearly

as much, because I wouldnt have known my way about. The weather was splendid on

that day, which I thought was rare.

I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and

no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon,

shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was

lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive

for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to

Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never

forget.

I have a little dog. Its name is Googlo. He is three years old. He has two

big eyes. Theyre black. He has one blue ear and one black ear. He is

clever.

I like my Googlo. He likes playing with me. He can bark, jump and run. He

can play football, basketball and volleyball. He likes playing football very

much. He likes some fruit, such as apples, bananas, oranges, pears and

my father is a nice man. he likes to play computer games. he is

an owner of a factory which produces many things .he is good at designing. he

works very hard. i love him very much because, sometimes, i can help him to do

something in his factory .he is always on business trips because he has his

business everywhere so it takes up too much of his time .therefore, he doesn’t

have any time to play with me but i don’t blame him for that. i often spend a

lot of my time on the computer, so i have something to do. my mother is usually

on the phone and tells my father to get home early but my father doesn’t listen

to her. so my mother and i sometimes are upset and i don’t like my father in a

sense that he always gets home late.i love my father but not his

job!

My school is very beautiful. It is in Guicheng, near the Qiandeng Lake. Do

you know it? It is Nanhai Experimental Primary School. I like my school very

much.

There is a big playground in my school. We have P.E. class on the

playground and we often play sports on it , too. Our teaching building has five

floors. My classroom is on the fifth floor. It is big and clean. The computer

rooms are on the third floor. There is a library on the second floor. There are

many books in the library. I often read books here. There are some music rooms

and art rooms in the teaching building, too.

The teachers in my school are very kind . The students are very polite and

smart. I am happy in my school.

I want to introduce my sister to you. Her name is Li Wenjing. She is

twenty-four years old. She is tall and thin. She has got long black hair. She

has a small mouth and two beautiful eyes. She likes beautiful things very much.

So she often goes shopping and she has bought lots of clothes. She also likes

eating noodles, chocolate, biscuits and peaches. We like each other.

One sunday afternoon when I was learning to ride my bike, I fell down and

hurt my arms badly. As soon as my parents heard this, they took me to the

hospital at once.

During my stay in bed, they took good care of me and cheered me up.

Meanwhile, they helped me with my lessons. With their help, I caught up with my

classmates. Now ill try my best to study well to repay my parents.

There was once a little boy, who was my grandpa; lived in a little cottage

near the king’s palace. He was a jolly fellow in his life.

One day, he went down to the brook to pick some flowers. Close to the brook

was a little log, on it was a tinker. Beside him was a tool box, and in it were

some tools. “He must be the one that fixed the pluming machine in my backyard!”

my grandpa gasped as he said that. The tinker was having his lunch: One or two

pieces of bread, a bit of cold meat, and a cold potato. It looked such poor

lunch; that grandpa ran into the house, and grabbed two fresh apples, and gave

it to the tinker. The tinker thanked grandpa and ate the apples. And then he

went down to the brook to have a drink. When he came back, he said, “Now my boy,

we shall plant a tree!” “A tree?” asked grandpa, “But I thought only god makes

trees!’’ “True,” said the tinker, “Only god makes trees. But sometimes we could

help him. And the tinker pulled out a stick, and dug a hole in it. In which he

found a bark. He took the bark out of the stick, and gave the stick to grandpa,

saying, “Here my boy; wash it in the brook.” And so grandpa went to the brook,

and washed up the stick. And then he went back where the tinker was standing

with the bark in his hands.

There he found the tinker, dragging some grass from the ground. And then he

took the stick in grandpa’s hand, and used the grass to tie up around with the

bark. Then he slipped the bark back in the stick. And then he took it out,

squeezed the water out, and told grandpa to wash it up again. When he came back,

he put the bark back in it again. And then fitted it into a hole, which he had

dug; and used the end that didn’t have a hole, and fitted it in the ground; a

few months passed, and the tree grew as strong as the strongest man.

As a small girl, many teachers have asked me what do I want to be in the

future. My answer is always to be a teacher. It is my dream and I study so hard

to realize it. Being a teacher can pass the knowledge to others and guide them

to the right way. Thinking about the great contribution I would make, everything

is worthy.

Today, I woke up early in the morning and I felt so nervous, because I

needed to take part in the final exams. I went over my books for many times and

slept very late. I would take the Chinese exam in the morning and the math in

the afternoon. Getting a good mark means more pocket money.

I have a dream. When I grow up, I want to be an actor. Being an actor can

play many roles and experience different lifestyles. It is so cool. What’s more,

I can make a lot of money and then travel around the world. I have passion in

performance and have joined many dramas. I hope someday I can realize my

dream.

It is Friday afternoon. School is over. The students are talking about

their weekends.

Hi, I am Yu Yan. Im going to have a busy weekend! On Saturday, Im going

to the park by bus .Im going to catch butterflies and catch dragonflies .
