Summer can be very hot in southernxx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. 到了夏天，整个夏铎铺郁郁葱葱，翠色欲流，到处花团锦簇、姹紫嫣红，山倒映在水中，像一幅幅水墨山水画。城里的朋友们呼朋引伴成群结队到我们龙凤峡来漂流，仿佛来到了洞天福地，那样惊险刺激，那样凉爽酣畅，那样美不胜收。

秋天来了，我们收获有机农产品，我也去帮伯伯收割，洒下汗水，收获稻谷之外，我还深切地体会到了“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”。到森林公园，漫山遍野的野生猕猴桃、何首乌，让我们满载而归；田间地头，酸枣子、橘子让你大饱口福。

盼来了冬天，盼来了飘雪，叫上几个小伙伴，开始打雪仗、堆雪人。晴好天气，我们踏上寻找韩湘子六度修炼之旅，沾一沾八仙的灵光。

到了夜晚，我们乡村渐渐沉睡了。

The life in the village is very simple. In the daytime, people get up early. They make breakfast, clean the house and feed the animals. After breakfast, they go out and start their farm work. Sometimes, they stay outside all the day. They come home until the sunset. Because of the hardwork, farmers usually go to sleep very early. They have to have a good rest to prepare for the next day.

乡村生活很简单。白天，人们起得很早。他们做早餐，打扫屋子，喂养动物。吃过早餐，他们就出去开始干农活。有时他们一整天都待在外面，知道日落才回家。由于干活辛苦，农民们通常睡得很早。他们必须休息好为第二天做准备。
