今天下午，我们学校二年级段，在六楼大教室举行了讲故事比赛。

上台讲故事的同学都讲得很棒。我觉得讲的最精彩的是黄星皓的《我的幸运一天》。黄星皓左手拿着狐狸右手拿着小猪，他一边讲着故事，一边用手里的布偶做动作。他的声音真好听，同学们都听得入迷。故事里的小猪真聪明。他讲了好多道理，让狐狸不要吃它。到最后狐狸还要为小猪按摩。这个故事让我明白了，只要动脑筋，再强大的敌人也会被打倒。

还有一位同学讲的也不错，她是丁星妤，她讲的是《驼背小龙虾》。丁星妤的故事特别有趣，逗得同学们哈哈大笑。

我坐在下面听着同学们讲故事，心想：如果我也能上台给大家讲一个故事，那该多好啊！

Long long ago, in the magnificent castle, lived a pretty princess. Her name is Snow White. Her mother died. Therefore king got married again. So witch was jealous of Snow White, she is very angry.

One day,she asked a hunter to kill the Snow White, but the hunter saw the Snow White very beautiful, so let Snow White escape, Snow Whit ran faster and faster, she arrived the forest, unexpectedly, she saw a small log cabin. Here was Dwarfs home, she ate some food, lay on a small bed, quietly sleeping. After a while, Dwarfs came back, they discovered a Snow White and they are very happy. After Snow White waked up, Dwarfs knew her story, they all hated Snow Whites step mother, they helped the Snow White. She was very happy. After Snow White eat it. She fell down the ground, Dwarfs were very sad, they were crying and put Snow White in the crystal coffin. 南方的小城。将军退居二线，门前冷落鞍马稀，日影陡然增长许多。

哥从老家打来电话，说娘近些日子，拿东西使筷子都不方便了。于是，对娘的思念越来越执拗地浮上来，如丝如缕，扯不断理还乱，好多个梦也压向他，几乎每个梦里都有娘的影子，老家的风景。

娘在梦里还是年轻时俏生生的模样，斜襟棉袄蓝底白色碎花，头发用水拭过，梳得光溜溜的，在脑后面绾了髻，团上黑色的发网，一根银簪一把簪住。娘站在满山满坡的杏树底下，笑盈盈的。那山他认得，就在老家的村子后面，儿时他没少往山上跑。他还在梦里看到了自己，五六岁的样子，捡柴割草，在娘身边跑前跑后。

他小时候很踢腾，像只调皮狗，只有娘能降住他。娘不打他也不骂他，只在他乖的时候，给他讲故事。娘认识字。娘的爹是一位私塾先生，她跟着她爹识了不少字，《三字经》《龙纹鞭影》都溜溜熟，知晓不少故事。娘说：“有孝才有德，有德才无敌。”他被那些故事吸引着。60年后仍然记得一个叫黄香的男孩，冬天的夜晚，给他爹爹暖冰凉的被窝。那时，他听了这个故事，就坚持着天天给娘暖被窝。五六岁的他，把光溜溜的身子蜷在冷硬的被子底下，像搁在石板上一样，冻得上下牙齿打战，身子好半天伸展不开。娘说：“俺孩儿懂事理，将来一定干大事!”

果然被娘说中!十三岁那年，他悄悄离开家，跟着征兵的队伍走了。一走就是二十多年。等他再见到娘时，娘鬓发已苍，岁纹丛生，他则成了中华人民共和国的军官，英姿飒爽，在南方的一个城市娶妻生子，呼风唤雨，落地生根。娘看他的眼神，客客气气小心翼翼，像看一个大人物，跟他隔着十万八千里的距离。后来，他又回过老家两三次，电话打了无数遍，想把娘带出去，可是，娘都婉言拒绝了。做了将军以后，他身不由己，再也没回过老家。娘已经进入耄耋之年。他南征北战几十载，保家卫国，暮年真该回去行点孝啊!寒冷的冬天已经来临，不知娘跟前的儿孙们，会不会有谁给娘暖一回被窝?

如今的将军少了许多的顾忌，说走就走。他急急火火下了飞机，风尘仆仆，回到山村。整个村子都轰动了，好多干部、乡亲簇拥着他，众星捧月一般。娘眼巴巴地站在村口站在寒冷的风中迎接，不知道站了多少时辰!娘扎着黑色的绑腿，深蓝的棉衣棉裤，身子又瘦又小，看上去很轻飘，不经风吹。再近，看清娘黑瘦的脸，如一枚干巴巴的红枣，满嘴的牙齿掉得光光，微张着，像老屋的破窗户洞开。那梦里的乌发银簪，俏生生的容颜，全部遗失在岁月深处!他泪花闪闪，腿一软，大老远跪下：“娘!儿子回来孝顺您了!”娘早已泪涌如泉。

晚上，他说什么也要跟娘睡在一床，给娘暖一回脚。娘把电热毯开上，他又不声不响地关上。哥嫂孝顺，给娘盖的被子很柔软，可他的身子触到时，还是禁不住哆嗦了一下。

娘的气息蕴上来，是陌生的。他蒙上头，抽动着鼻孔，使劲儿嗅，搜索童年时的记忆，末了，无声地哭了。像一只倦怠的鹰，穿越五六十年光阴的山川河流，他又回到生命的起始地。他心里说，娘，儿子再不离开您了!

直到他把被窝暖得没有一片凉的地方，才服侍娘在床的另一头脱衣睡下。娘腿脚冰凉，碰到了他，被他一把搂住，焐在腋窝底下，暖。

不知不觉，他睡着了。

他又梦到了娘，娘依然俏生生的，站在满山满坡的杏树底下。这次，娘是向他告别。娘说：“娘该走了!”他急，追着娘跑，又追不上。撒泼，哭号，顿时惊醒。娘的身子像一块冰，抱在怀里凉飕飕的。再看娘，鼻息全无，驾鹤西去。

有位妇人去超市闲逛，见超市里买特价的大米，无人问津。她走过去瞧了瞧，米确实很便宜，但很碎，颜色也不好，像是陈米，她摇摇头边走边说，这米一定不好吃。

转了一圈之后，她发现特价大米那块排了一条长长的队，她忍不住问排队的人：“米好吗？”

排队的人回答说：“不知道，不过这么多人排着，价钱又便宜，估计米一定好。”

妇人思考了一下，走到队伍最后。等轮到她的时候，米缸里的大米已经所剩不多，比她先前看见的还碎，可她却迫不及待的说：“这些我包了了。”

三、WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY 有志者事竟成

The secret of success (The key to success) is not so much money as a strong will. A great man is one who has a strong will and an indomitable spirit. In other words, if a man does not have a strong will to win (get) the final victory, he will never succeed in his life. He is no more than a failure.

It is quite obvious that there is no difficult thing (nothing difficult) in the world. if you make up your mind to do it, you will certainly accomplish your end. That stands to reason.

成功的要诀不是金钱而是一个坚强的意志（用not so mush... as）。一个大人物是一个具有坚强意志和不屈不挠精神的人。换句话说，如果一个人没有坚强意志去获得最后胜利的人，他终其一生永远不会成功。他只不过是（用no more than）一个失败者。

四、Whale 鲸鱼

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.

The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that a whale swallowed Jonah.

Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.

今天，我们五年级进行了英华好少年杯讲故事比赛。

主持人站在台上，宣布讲故事比赛的开始。我们个个喜气洋洋，心里有说不尽的开心。故事都是关于温良恭俭让的，可是，有一个故事我始终不能忘记。

那个故事是五（7）班的杨云涵讲的，名字叫做《三袋米的故事》，为什么它让我难忘呢？那是因为，这个故事使我哭了两次，当然是感动哭的。当时我忍不住想：“这个故事那么感人，一定会得个高分的。”我猜测的没错，她的故事得了第一名。因为我跟杨云涵是朋友，所以后来我得知，那天她是带着病去的。

我们班曲姿谕讲的是《注视的眼睛》，也让我感到很难忘。不过，评委却给了她很少的分，我认为她不应该只获这一点分。她那么深的情感，那么优美的语调，很令人对她刮目相看。

两节课的时间，我们的讲故事比赛结束了，希望下一次的讲故事比赛快点来。

This pampered young lady had left her family for the first time to join the college and was feeling quite lonely on Thanksgiving. She decided to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for herself. She was narrating her first experience in the kitchen to her mother and mother really wanted to know about the results. When asked how the food was, the lady replied with a shudder that though the ready-made soup and pizza were great, she had quite a trouble with turkey. 我问她为什么都到中年了还要坚持学外语呢，她回答的很有意思——以后要是当奶奶了，不想让孙子看到自己的奶奶啥都不懂。

一位中年妇女没有任何英语底子，居然可以不为过级，不为升学，毫无功利心的学习英语，年轻的我们会有何感想?大学的时候诵读《道德经》，老子的无为思想我至今无法理解，后来我想这种精心耕耘，不问收获，毫无功利心的去做一件事儿，是不是就是对道家无为思想的一种解释?年轻的我们又该如何?这或许正是她给予我们年轻人的力量和意义!

一条大蟒蛇和一条小毒蛇是朋友。

这天他们在路边发现了一只巨大的乌龟。

蛇兄弟想，这么大的个儿，可是一顿美餐啊。

蟒蛇说：“我来对付他。”

于是蟒蛇施展自己的绝技，用身体将大乌龟牢牢地缠住。而大乌龟早已将身体缩进了壳里，任凭蟒蛇怎么缠绕，也无法伤害到大乌龟。泄气的蟒蛇，气喘吁吁地爬到了一边。

大乌龟谨慎地露出脑袋，在他露出脑袋的那一瞬间，小毒蛇闪电般地在乌龟脑袋上咬了一口，大乌龟又急忙缩回壳中。但是几分钟后，大乌龟因为中毒而死了。

蟒蛇说：“哇!我花了那么大力气也没能伤害乌龟，你却轻而易举地办到了啊。”

这个故事的寓意是……

1)不是每个在你身上拉屎的都是你的敌人。

2)不是每个把你从屎堆中拉出来的都是你的朋友。

3)而且，当你陷入深深的屎堆当中(身陷困境)的时候，闭上你的鸟嘴!

2、表演大师 有一位表演大师上场前，他的徒弟告诉他鞋带松了。大师点头致谢，蹲下来仔细系。

等到徒弟转身后，又蹲下来将鞋带解松。有个旁观者看到了这一切，不解地问：“大师，您为什么又要将鞋带解松呢?”大师回答道：“因为我饰演的是一位劳累的旅者，长途跋涉让他的鞋带松开，可以通过这个细节表现他的劳累憔悴。”“那你为什么不直接告诉你的徒弟呢?”“他能细心地发现我的鞋带松了，并且热心地告诉我，我一定要保护他这种热情的积极性，及时地给他鼓励，至于为什么要将鞋带解开，将来会有更多的机会教他表演，可以下一次再说啊。”

人一个时间只能做一件事，懂抓重点，才是真正的人才。

3、鹦鹉 一个人去买鹦鹉，看到一只鹦鹉前标：此鹦鹉会两门语言，售价二百元。另一只鹦鹉前则标道：此鹦鹉会四门语言，售价四百元。该买哪只呢?两只都毛色光鲜，非常灵活可爱。这人转啊转，拿不定主意。结果突然发现一只老掉了牙的鹦鹉，毛色暗淡散乱，标价八百元。这人赶紧将老板叫来：这只鹦鹉是不是会说八门语言?店主说：不。这人奇怪了：那为什么又老又丑，又没有能力，会值这个数呢?店主回答： 因为另外两只鹦鹉叫这只鹦鹉老板。

这故事告诉我们，真正的领导人，不一定自己能力有多强，只要懂信任，懂放权，懂珍惜，就能团结比自己更强的力量，从而提升自己的身价。相反许多能非常强的人却因为过于完美主义，事必躬亲，什么人都不如自己，最后只能做最好的攻关人员，销售代表，成不了优秀的领导人。

4、金人 曾经有个小国的人到中国来，进贡了三个一模一样的金人，金壁辉煌，把皇帝高兴坏了。可是这小国的人不厚道，同时出一道题目：这三个金人哪个最有价值?皇帝想了许多的办法，请来珠宝匠检查，称重量，看做工，都是一模一样的。

怎么办?使者还等着回去汇报呢。泱泱大国，不会连这个小事都不懂吧?最后，有一位退位的老大臣说他有办法。皇帝将使者请到大殿，老臣胸有成足地拿着三根稻草，插入第一个金人的耳朵里，这稻草从另一边耳朵出来了。第二个金人的稻草从嘴巴里直接掉出来，而第三个金人，稻草进去后掉进了肚子，什么响动也没有。老臣说：第三个金人最有价值!使者默默无语，答案正确。

这个故事告诉我们，最有价值的人，不一定是最能说的人。老天给我们两只耳朵一个嘴巴，本来就是让我们多听少说的。善于倾听，才是成熟的人最基本的素质。

一只鸽子老是不断地搬家, 想去掉自己身上的气味!它觉得，每次新窝住了没多久，就有一种浓烈的怪味，让它喘不上气来，不得已只好一直搬家。它觉得很困扰，就把烦恼跟一只经验丰富的老鸽子诉苦。老鸽子说：“你搬了这么多次家根本没有用啊，因为那种让你困扰的怪味并不是从窝里面发出来的，而是你自己身上的味道啊。”

寓言启示录：与团队格格不入，问题来自于自己!

有些人会不断埋怨别人的过错，指责别人的缺点，他们觉得周围的环境和人处处跟自己作对;或者是认为自己“曲高和寡”，一般人无法理解自己丰富而深刻的思想。实际上，他们没有意识到真正的问题不是来自于周围，而是来自于他们自己。像这样的人，必须试着认清自己，试着认真而深刻地反省自己。而一个组织也没必要为了失掉这样一只“鸽子”而遗憾。

愈来愈多的研究显示，领导能力不是天生的，人们完全可以透过后天的努力获得这种能力。因此，领导者要想成功地改变员工，首先就必须改变自己的领导特质。

对领导者而言，出色的管理能力仍然是必需的。领导者拥有这种管理能力，不是为了控制和命令员工，而是为了支持、帮助员工的发展与成长。

在这变幻莫测的全球竞争时代，公司高层与其苦苦追寻“先进”的管理方法与手段，不如将眼光放远，锁定员工的才智与热情，这是公司取之不尽的宝藏，公司必须找到适当的途径将他们释放出来。实现这个目标的唯一途径，就是让管理从控制员工，转向为相信员工潜力、鼓舞员工热情。

5、辞职 A对B说：“我要离开这个公司。我恨这个公司!”B建议道：“我举双手赞成你报复!!破公司一定要给它点颜色看看。不过你现在离开，还不是最好的时机。”

A问：为什么?B说：“如果你现在走，公司的损失并不大。你应该趁着在公司的机会，拼命去为自己拉一些客户，成为公司独挡一面的人物，然后带着这些客户突然离开公司，公司才会受到重大损失，非常被动。”A觉得B说的非常在理。于是努力工作，事遂所愿，半年多的努力工作后，他有了许多的忠实客户。再见面时B问A：现在是时机了，要跳赶快行动哦!A淡然笑道：老总跟我长谈过，准备升我做总经理助理，我暂时没有离开的打算了。

其实这也正是B的初衷。一个人的工作，永远只是为自己的简历。只有付出大于得到，让老板真正看到你的能力大于位置，才会给你更多的机会替他创造更多利润。

纪晓岚后来做了乾隆皇帝的陪读。一次，他伴驾南行，走得口干舌燥，路见一颗梨树，摘下一颗梨子，自己吃了。

乾隆问：“孔融四岁能让梨。爱卿得梨为何让也不让，自己便吃了?”

纪晓岚说：“梨者离也。臣奉命伴驾，不敢让梨。”

乾隆又说：“那咱俩分吃了也好哇?”

纪晓岚又说：“哪敢与君分梨(离)呀?”

又走了一程，见有一棵柿树。纪晓岚拣成熟的摘下一个，切成两半分而食之。乾隆边吃边问：“怎么这柿子就可以分吃了呢?”

纪说：“柿者事也。臣伴君行，有事(柿)共参(餐)嘛!”

As a small child, I always wanted to grow up soon, so that I could make my

own money and became independent. So I had worked so hard to let my parents to

realize that I have grown up, such as washing my clothes and taking care of

myself. Indeed, I won respect step by step. Finally, when I went to high school,

they allowed me to live in school. I felt so happy to move out. When I lived in

school, strangely, I started to miss my parents and wanted to see them. I spent

so much time to get away from them, but when I did it, I felt lost. This is my

story about growing up, I believe most children struggle running away from their

parents, but when they really grow up, they will miss the ones who love

them.

Bob Richards, the former pole-vault champion, shares a moving story about a skinny young boy who loved football with all his heart.

Practice after practice, he eagerly gave everything he had. But being half the size of the other boys, he got absolutely nowhere. At all the games, this hopeful athlete sat on the bench and hardly ever played.

This teenager lived alone with his father, and the two of them had a very special relationship. Even though the son was always On the bench, his father was always in the stands cheering. He never missed a game. This young man was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school. But his father continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn‘t want to.

But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there He was determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he‘d get to play when he became a senior. All through high school he never missed a practice nor a game but remained a bench-warmer all four years. His faithful father was always in the stands, always with words of encouragement for him. When the young man went to college, he decided to try out for the football team as a "walk-on." Everyone was sure he could never make the cut, but he did.

The coach admitted that he kept him on the roster because he always puts his heart and soul to every practice, and at the same time, provided the other members with the spirit and hustle they badly needed.

The news that he had survived the cut thrilled him so much that he rushed to the nearest phone and called his father. His father shared his excitement and was sent season tickets for all the college games. This persistent young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in a game.

It was the end of his senior football season, and as he trotted onto the practice field shortly before the big playoff game, the coach met him with a telegram. The young man read the telegram and he became deathly silent. Swallowing hard, he mumbled to the coach, "My father died this morning. Is it all right if I miss practice today?" The coach put his arm gently around his shoulder and said, "Take the rest of the week off, son. And don‘t even plan to come back to the game on Saturday."

Saturday arrived, and the game was not going well. In the third quarter,when the team was ten points behind, a silent young man quietly slipped into the empty locker room and put on his football gear. As he ran onto the sidelines, the coach and his players were astounded to see their faithful teammate back so soon. "Coach, please let me play. I‘ve just got to play today," said the young man. The coach pretended not to hear him. There was no way he wanted his worst player in this close playoff game. But the young man persisted, and finally feeling sorry for the kid, the coach gave in. "All right," he said."You can go in." Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown, who had never played before was doing everything right. The opposing team could not stop him. He ran, he passed, blocked, and tackled like a star. His team began to triumph. The score was soon tied. In the closing seconds of the game, this kid intercepted a pass and ran all the way for the winning touchdown. The fans broke loose. His teammates hoisted him onto their shoulders. Such cheering you never heard.

Finally, after the stands had emptied and the team had showered and left the locker room, the coach noticed that this young man was sitting quietly in the corner all alone The coach came to him and said, " Kid, I can‘t believe it. You were fantastic! Tell me what got into you? How did you do it?"

He looked at the coach, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Well, you knew my dad died, but did you know that my dad was blind?" The young man swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Dad came to all my games, but today was the first time he could see me play, and I wanted to show him I could do it!"

Like the athlete‘s father, God is always there cheering for us. He‘s always reminding us to go on. He‘s even offering us His hand for He knows what is best, and is willing to give us what we need and not simply what we want. GOD has never missed a single game. What a joy to know that life is meaningful if lived for the Highest. Live for HIM for He‘s watching us in the game of life!

Ji Anlived at the time of Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D.24). He was respected for being upright and just and for daring to speak the truth. He did not bother about amall matters in personal behaviour and in being an official. He was particular about actual effects and ,although he did not cause a stir ,he could keep the prefecture he governed in perfect order. Because of this. the imperial court transferred him to the central government from being the perfect of the Donghai Prefecture to being a commander in charge of the appointment and dismissal of the local officals.

Once,Emperor Wudi said that he would implement the policy of benevolence and justice of Confucianism and would do good turns to the people.Emperor Wudi Had hardly finished his remards when Ji An said that there was no need for the emperor to say so.Why should the emperor bother,Ji An said, about pretending to implement the policy of benevolence and justice since he was so greedy and avaricious within himself? This choked the emperor off. The emperor suddenly Changed his countenance and declared the meeting over. All the civilian and military officers at court were breathless with anxiety for fear that Ji An might bring disaster upon himself because of this. After returning, Emperor Wudi said to the people around him that Ji An was a little too rude and too straightforward.

For this reason ,Ji An was never promoted again. When he was the commander in charge of the appointment and dismissal of the local officials, both Gongsun Hong and Zhang Tang were low -ranking lfficials of little importance. Later ,they were promoted continuously. Gongsun Hong became the prime minister and Zhang Tang became the imperial censor. However, JiAns post remained thesame. One day, Ji An said to Emperor Wudi that the way the emperor used his ministers was just like piling up firewood, which meant that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers. Of course, Emperor Wudi could see that Ji An was complaining. So,turning to his ministers, Emperor Wudi said, "It is true that no one can stop learning.You see, Ji An is making more and more indiscreet remarks."

This story comes from The Historical Records. Later generations use the set phrase "the latecomers surpass the old-timers " to indicate that successors can cxcel the predecessors, which is quite different from the original idea when Ji An said that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers.

汲黯是西汉武帝时代人，以刚直正义、敢讲真话而受人尊重。他为人和做官都不拘小节，讲求实效。虽然表面上不那么轰轰烈烈，却能把一个郡治理得井井有条，因此，朝廷把他从东海太守调到朝廷当主爵都尉——一种主管地方吏任免的官职。

有一次，汉武帝说要实行儒家的仁义之政，为老百姓办好事了。没等皇帝把话说完，汲黯就说：“陛下内心里那么贪婪多欲，表面上却要装得实行仁政，这是何苦呢？”一句话把皇帝噎了回去。汉武帝登时脸色大变，宣布罢朝，满朝文武都为汲黯捏着一把汗，担心他会因此招来大祸。武帝回到宫里以后，对身边的人说，汲黯这个人也未免太粗太直了。

从此以后，汲黯的官职再也没有提升。他当主爵都尉的时候，公孙弘、张汤都还是不起眼的小官，后来，他们一个劲儿住上升，公孙弘当上了丞相，张汤做上了御史大夫，可他汲黯还蹲在原地没动窝。有一天，汲黯对武帝说，陛下使用群臣，跟码劈柴一样，是“后来者居上”啊！汉武帝当然听得出这是发牢骚。于是，转脸对臣下们说：“人真是不能不学习啊！你们听汲黯说话，越来越离谱了！”

故事出自《史记汲郑列传》。成语“后来居上”，往往指后起的可以胜过先前的。和汲黯说这话的原意，大不相同。

今天下午的时候，我们举行了学校的第五届的讲故事比赛，我们都很兴奋！

中午一起床，穿好衣服，到教室里带好红领巾，然后，我们排好队向五楼报告厅进发了，在路上，我们非常的高兴！

讲故事的选手有二十八个人，每个班里都有两个同学参加比赛，我们班参加比赛的是：活泼开朗的小女生曲姿谕，还有我们班的学习委员王浩然。他们讲的都很棒，都获得了“故事大王”的称号。

王浩然讲的是“少年岳飞”，王浩然讲的钢筋有力，而且说话非常的大声，就适合男孩子读的。王浩然讲的是少年岳飞小的时候所发生的事情，有一次，家里吃了上顿就吃不到下顿了，后来，他的几个好兄弟因为没有饭吃，想拦路抢劫，他们想叫岳飞跟他们一起去拦路抢劫，可是不管他们蒸馍说，岳飞也没有动心，而且还尝试着劝告他们，拦路抢劫是不对的，后来，他的母亲回来了，岳飞把这件事一五一十的告诉了母亲，母亲还夸他了呢！

曲姿谕同学讲的故事我就不说了，讲故事将比赛就结束了。

答：让小河里的水流到大海里去，再放点盐就变成大海了。(明白海水和淡水的区别呀!)
