今天，是讲故事比赛的日子，我为这次比赛准备了很长时间，付出了很多努力。

我排在第十个上台，等待的时间里，我很紧张。别的选手讲得都很吸引人，可是我都听不进去，因为我在想自己的故事。

终于轮到我上台了，我的心就像一只着急的兔子，怦怦直跳。幸好有妈妈在台下为我加油。

我就像平时练习的时候那样，在台上边讲边表演着，还好比较顺利地讲完了故事，我深深地吸了一口气。

妈妈夸我很棒，讲得很不错，我很开心！

2019年5月6日星期一晴

很小的时候，妈妈手上拿着一张纸，不停地说：黑楼，黑楼，还有踢车。

我问：妈妈，什么是黑楼啊？

妈妈说：不是黑楼，是哈喽。

我以前不懂英语，后来上了幼儿园大班后才知道英语里的hello。在一年级的暑假里，我背过了英语A、B、C等26个字母。二年级时，听说下一年要学英语，我着急了，因为我不知道怎么学英语，后来上了才知道，没有我想象得那么难，英语老师也不凶，还很逗，有时她刚做完的事，转身就忘了。

有人不好好听课时，老师就叽里咕噜，叽里咕噜的，全是英语。

有一次英语课上，一个英语学得不太好的同学，在书上画小人，那个小人画得很好玩，结果被老师发现了。老师叽里咕噜一串英语数落他，逗得我们笑，那个同学摸着脑袋，听不懂老师说啥。

英语课是有趣的，让我懂得了那些美丽的单词。

唐僧、孙悟空经过许多磨难，到达西天，佛祖封他们为佛。孙悟空喜不自胜，向唐僧下拜道：“师父，请受我徒儿一拜，感谢你对我的信任，使我成了佛。”

唐僧双手合十，眼睛微闭，躬身答道：“应由我来感谢你对我的忠诚，阿弥陀佛！”但当他低头念完佛号，不觉抿嘴一笑。

没想到这细节被土地看到了。

当他第一次去好莱坞应征演员时，导演问他：“你擅长表演什么呢?”

他说：“滑稽的动作和语言。”导演就要他当场表演。

于是,鲍勃.博走到办公室门口，大声对在外等候的应征者说：“你们都回去吧,公司已经录用我了!”

心得：有时候，快乐，幽默，不仅仅是一种心情，更是一种积极的思维方式和生活方式，同时也是一种观察世界的方式。

Human growth is a process of experimentation， trial， and error ultimately leading to wisdom。 Each time you choose to trust yourself and take action， you can never quite be certaion how the situation will turn out。 Sometimes you are victorious， and sometimes you become disillusioned。

The failed experiments， however， are no less valuable than the experiments that ultimately prove successful； in fact， you usually learn more from your perceived "failures" than you do from your perceived "success"。

If you have made what you perceive to be a mistake or failed to live up to your own expectations， you will most likely put up a barrier between your essence and the part of you that is the alleged wrong—doer。 However， perceiving past actions as mistakes implies guilt and blame， and it is not possible to learn anything meaning while you are engaged in blaming。 Therefore， forgiveness is required when you are harshly judging yourself。

Forgiveness is the act of erasing an emotional debt。 There are four kinds of forgiveness。

The first is beginner forgiveness for yourself。

The second of forgiveness is beginner forgiveness for another。

The third kind of forgiveness is advanced forgiveness of yourself。 This is for serious transgressions， the ones you carry with deep shame when you do soimething that violates your own values and ethics， you create a chasm between your standards and your actual behavior。 In such a case， you need to work very hard at forgiving youeself for these deeds so that yo call close this chasm and realign with the best part of yourself。

This does not mean that you should rush to forgive yourselfor not feel regret or remorse； but wallowing in these feelings for a protracted period of time is not healthy， and punishing yourself excessively will only creats a bigger gap between you and your ethics。

The last and perhaps most difficult one is the advanced forgiveness of another。 At some time of our life， you may have been severely wronged or hurt by another person to such a degree that forgiveness seems impossible。 However， harboring resentment and revenge fantasies only keeps you trapped in victim hood。 Under such a circumstance， you should force yourself to see the bigger picture， by so doing， you will be able to shift the focus away from the anger and resentment。

It is only through forgiveness that you can erase wrongdoing and clean the memory。 when you can finally release the situation， you may come to see it as a necessary part of your growth。

Lion was awakened from sleep by a Mouse running over his face. Rising up in anger, he caught him and was about to kill him, when the Mouse piteously entreated, saying: "If you would only spare my life, I would be sure to repay your kindness." The Lion laughed and let him go.

It happened shortly after this that the Lion was caught by some hunters, who bound him by strong ropes to the ground. The Mouse, recognizing his roar, came up, and gnawed the rope with his teeth, and setting him free, exclaimed: "You ridiculed the idea of my ever being able to help you, not expecting to receive from me any repayment of your favour; but now you know that it is possible for even a Mouse to confer benefits on a Lion."

In china, people believe that, at the beginning, the tiger and the cat were friends, and the cat was much smarter than the tiger .

星期五下午，我们进行了第五届“英华少年杯”讲故事比赛。

我们满怀信心的期待着！讲故事比赛终于开始了！我们班的曲姿谕和王浩然代表我们班去参加比赛，曲姿谕是第25个，王浩然是第11个，曲姿谕讲的是《注视的眼睛》，王浩然讲的是《岳飞刺字——精忠报国》。我们五年级一共有28个人讲故事。终于到王浩然了！王浩然一上台，气势高大，开始讲了！王浩然最后的得分是9。64分。

给我留下印象最深的是五（7）班杨云涵讲的《三袋米的故事》。这个故事呢，主要讲的是：“我”的妈妈让我考上重点大学，然而那个学校每个月初都要给学校送一袋米，“我”们家里很穷，没有钱去买米，“我”的妈妈更没有力气去耕田。妈妈每次去给米库的熊师傅送米，第一次妈妈带的米被熊师傅留了下来，第二次妈妈带的迷也被留了下来，到了第三次，熊师傅告诉妈妈：“你这次怎么还是杂碎米？”妈妈哭着说道：“因为我们家穷，每天我都是早晨早早得起来去村的外讨米，到天黑很晚我才回家。熊师傅也被感动了。

我也被这个故事深深地所感动。杨云涵是讲故事的第一名。

幽默是睿智和机敏的表现。钱钟书先生认为“幽默减少人生的严重性，决不把自己看得严重”。英国人用幽默增加风度和开展外交，美国西点军校可以凭幽默录取新生，美国总统靠幽默赢得选票……中国是一个古老的幽默的国度，从《史记·滑稽列传》到《古今谭概》、《笑林广记》，无一不体现中华民族特有的幽默。

毛泽东就是一位公认的幽默高手。他早在1929年为红四军干部制定《教授法》时，其第六条就规定：“说话要有趣味。”凡是与毛泽东交谈过的人，都为他那幽默风趣的语言所折服。

“小心打你的土豪啊”

毛泽东平易近人，喜欢同身边的工作人员开开玩笑，调节气氛。在中央苏区时期，毛泽东一度在瑞金东华山养病。推荐关注：微信查找“兵之家”。一天，他问卫生所负责护理他的小战士：“你叫什么名字?”

“钱昌鑫。”

“是哪几个字?”

“钱币的钱，日日昌，三个金字的鑫。”毛泽东一听，笑了笑说：“哈，你姓钱还不够，还要那么多金子!小心打你的土豪啊!”

“头上刚长了一点草”

1953年年底，毛泽东去杭州，负责保卫和饮食起居的浙江省公安厅厅长王芳陪同毛泽东吃饭。席间，公安部部长罗瑞卿对王芳说：“王芳，我建议你把芳字上的草字头去掉。这个名字容易搞混，许多不知情的人还以为你是女同志呢。”

“这可不行。”毛泽东放下手中的筷子说：“王芳，你是山东人，你们山东的绿化怎么样?”“刚刚起步。”“山东还有许多荒山秃岭没有绿化起来，你的头上刚长了一点草，就想把它除掉，这怎么能行!什么时候山东消灭了荒山秃岭，绿化过了关，你再把芳字草头去掉。”

“我们两块石头，一块扔给了杜鲁门，一块扔给了麦克阿瑟”

1951年，时任中国人民志愿军司令员的彭德怀，从抗美援朝战场回京向毛主席述职。

谈话间，毛泽东开玩笑说：“德怀呀，你我都是同石头有缘分的。你的字号叫石穿，我的乳名叫石三伢子，我们两个同是石头。”彭德怀谦虚道：“我岂敢与主席相比。主席是块稀世宝石，我彭某只不过是一块冥顽不灵的顽石。两者之间，有天壤之别!”

毛泽东摆摆手说：“不，同样都是石头嘛。我们两块石头，一块扔给了杜鲁门(时任美国总统)，一块扔给了麦克阿瑟(时任侵朝美军总司令)!”两人相顾，发出会心的笑声。

“喧宾夺主”的“客人”

1947年，蒋介石全面进攻解放区失败后，把战略改为“重点进攻”。1947年3月13日，胡宗南的14个旅分兵进犯延安。50多架敌机对延安狂轰滥炸了一整天。

那天下午，敌机扔下的一颗重磅炸弹在王家坪毛泽东的窑洞门前不远处爆炸，一阵山摇地动之后，便见硝烟弥漫，负责保卫毛泽东的卫士很为他的安全担忧，警卫参谋贺清华心急如焚地推门而入，但见毛泽东从容自若，根本没事儿似的，他右手拿着的那支笔正在大地图上移动着。他身旁的彭德怀目不转睛地注视着地图上移动着的那支笔的笔尖。

贺清华的推门而入惊动了毛泽东，但他的注意力还在那张地图上。他看着地图问：“客人走了吗?”

贺清华丈二和尚摸不着头脑，他愣了：哪有客人呀?于是反问：“谁?谁来了?”

“飞机呀，”毛泽东微笑着说，“真是讨厌，喧宾夺主。”大家听毛泽东这么一说，都笑了起来。

一个卫士拿着散落在门前的一块炸弹片给毛泽东看。毛泽东接过来掂量一下，又风趣地说：“嗯，发财发财，能打两把菜刀呢。”

鞋垫“闹革命”

1961年在庐山开会期间，繁忙的工作之余，毛泽东与其他中央领导同志一起参加舞会。跳了一场舞后回到座位上休息时，他的一只白色鞋垫从皮鞋里露出一半来，他自己未曾发觉。

当工作人员提醒他时，毛主席低头一看，忍不住笑道：“鞋垫总在脚板底下压着，见不到光明，怎么不闹革命啊?”说得在座的中央首长都哈哈大笑起来。

毛泽东妙论“空对空”

1971年7月，基辛格秘密访华期间，发生了这样一则趣事：

一天下午，基辛格的助手、美国国家安全委员会东亚事务助理约翰·霍尔德里奇，拿着一份新华社英文新闻稿，找到了接待组负责联络的人员，他指着封面上的毛主席语录问这是怎么一回事。

联络人员一看，那段语录摘的是“全世界人民团结起来，打败美帝国主义及其一切走狗!”霍尔德里奇说：“这是从我个人的房间里搜集到的，我们希望这些新闻稿是被错误地放到了房间里。”很显然，美方误以为这是中方故意这样做的。

这件事被汇报到了周恩来和叶剑英那里。后来又向毛泽东作了汇报，毛主席听后哈哈一笑说：“去告诉他们，那是放空炮。他们不是也整天喊要消灭共产主义吗?这就算是空对空吧。”

从那儿以后，毛泽东“空对空”的妙论，就成了工作人员聊天的一段“笑语”。

“你在同一个侵略者谈话”

1961年，英国元帅蒙哥马利访华。会晤前，蒙哥马利好奇之中有些紧张。须知，当时西方盛传毛泽东是“一个残酷无情的暴君”。当毛泽东的大手紧紧握住蒙哥马利的手时，蒙哥马利分明感到毛泽东的手是温暖的，一双深邃的眼睛是和善的，脸庞是慈祥的、微笑的。瞬间，蒙哥马利脑海中闪出了印度总理尼赫鲁对毛泽东的评价：“毛泽东的样子像一位和蔼的老伯伯。”

“你知道你在同一个侵略者(西方国家把我国抗美援朝污蔑为侵略)谈话吗?你在同一个侵略者谈话。在联合国我国被扣上这样的称号。你是否在同一个侵略者谈话呢?”毛泽东的第一句话就缩短了两人之间的“东西方距离”。到第二次谈话时，蒙哥马利和毛泽东竟像交往颇久的老朋友一样无拘无束了。

“把天地都管起来了!”

竺可桢从青少年时代起，就确立了以“科学救国”的志向。留学回国后，在抗战爆发前的十余年间，他靠着水滴石穿的韧劲，不辞辛劳在全国各地建立了40多个气象站和100多个雨量观测站，初步奠定了中国自己的气象观测网。全国解放后，竺可桢以很大精力关注中国的农业生产，想方设法利用气象学知识增加粮食产量。推荐关注：微信查找“兵之家”。1964年，他写了一篇重要论文《论我国气候的特点及其与粮食生产的关系》，其中分析了光、温度、降雨对粮食的影响，提出了发展农业生产的许多设想。

毛泽东看到此文非常高兴，专门请竺可桢到中南海面谈，对他说：“你的文章写得好啊!我们有个农业八字宪法(土、肥、水、种、密、保、管、工)，只管地。你的文章管了天，弥补了八字宪法的不足。”竺可桢回答：“天有不测风云，不大好管呢!”

毛泽东幽默地说：“我们两个人分工合作，就把天地都管起来了!”

“梳妆打扮，送上门去”， “一个耳光，赶出大门”

毛主席谈论王明：中国第一次王明路线搞了四年，对中国革命的损失最大。王明现在在莫斯科养病，我们还要选他当中央委员。他是我们党的教员，是教授，无价之宝，用钱都买不到的。他教育了全党不能走他的路线。第二次是抗日战争的时候。王明是可以直接见斯大林的，他能讲俄文，很会捧斯大林。斯大林派他回国来。过去他搞 “左” 倾，这次则搞右倾。在和国民党合作中，他是“梳妆打扮，送上门去”，一切都服从国民党。他提出了六大纲领，推翻我们党中央的十大纲领，反对建立抗日根据地，不要自己有军队，认为有了蒋介石，天下就太平了。我们纠正了这个错误。蒋介石也“帮助”我们纠正了错误。王明是“梳妆打扮，送上门去”，蒋介石则是 “一个耳光，赶出大门”。蒋介石是中国最大的教员，教育了全国人民，教育了我们全体党员。他用机关枪上课，王明则用嘴上课。

“papertiger”(纸老虎)

1973年，基辛格来到中国见毛泽东。谈话间基辛格突然问道：“听说主席阁下正在学英语?”毛泽东回答：“只会几个单词，如papertiger之类的。”在场的人开怀大笑。

“papertiger”在英语中是纸老虎的意思，基辛格后来才明白，毛泽东曾用这个词来形容貌似强大的国民党反动派，后来又用它来比喻帝国主义。

两年后，基辛格带着妻子再次访问中国。这次相见，毛泽东不再和他开“纸老虎”之类的玩笑，而是好奇地指着比基辛格高出许多的基辛格夫人。基辛格后来在回忆中说：“(毛泽东)问我对比男人高的女人有什么感觉?”基辛格觉得，这位中国的领袖在外交场合也是那么本色自然，让人感到很亲切。

毛泽东在会见各国外宾的时候，的确是常常不拘形式;不论肤色，不论地位，对客人一视同仁，一律平等对待，总是那样的真实和真诚。1974年2月22日，赞比亚总统卡翁达访华。随行的妇女来宾为了表示对毛泽东的敬意，纷纷向他行屈膝礼。一向幽默的毛泽东也模仿起非洲妇女，向她们行屈膝礼，给非洲人民留下了深刻的印象。

有一个叫陶邱的人住在平原郡，他娶了渤海郡墨台氏的女儿做妻子。这位女子不但容貌十分美丽，而且很有才华，为人温 柔贤慧，亲戚邻居没有不羡慕的。陶邱也感到心满意足，一家人过得十分幸福。

一年后，他们养了个儿子，家中更是充满了乐趣。一天，妻子对丈夫说：

“自从嫁到你家，这一年多我从没回过一次娘家，我很是想念母亲和娘家的人，我们是不是择个日子，回一趟娘家，顺便也把孩子带给他们瞧瞧？”

丈夫想了想，说：“也是，应该去见见岳母。”

于是一家三口人选了个日子，雇了车马一路上风尘仆仆到了渤海郡。到了墨台氏妻子家里，娘家人见了女儿、女婿和小外孙，都非常高兴，杀鸡宰羊招待。岳母丁氏已是70多岁的老妇人，自然行动迟缓，步履蹒跚，满脸皱纹交 错，说话也不灵巧了。岳母上前见过女婿便回房休息去了。

几天后，陶邱带着妻子和儿子回家。一回到家就把妻子休了。

妻子感到十分诧异，便问丈夫：

“不知我有什么过错，夫君要休我回家。”

丈夫陶邱说：

“前几天到你家去，见了你母亲真叫我伤心，她年龄老了，满脸老气横秋，德行礼节都不讲了，已不能与过去相比。我担心你老了以后也会变成这副模样，倒不如现在就把你休了。再也没有别的原因了。”

妻子听了，哭笑不得。后来，亲戚和邻居知道了这件事，都骂陶邱愚蠢至极。

这位丈夫实在是庸人自扰，为担心遥远的将来而放弃现实中的美好，这不是太愚蠢了吗？幽默励志寓言故事【9】

湍急的江水中，隐隐约约见到闪光发亮的夜明珠。有两个胆大的人，都想取得这颗珠子。虽然他们都有出色的潜水功夫，但他们潜入水中之后，却再也没有露出水面。

这两个人冒险入水的目的是大不一样的。一个这样打算：“我把夜明珠捞上来，送到博物馆，供大伙观赏，多美！”另一个这样筹谋：“得了夜明珠，卖个大价钱，别墅，小车都有了，嘿嘿，真是妙不可言。”

“地狱里为了一颗这样的珠子，总争得头破血流，九死一生，”老龙王平静地说，“我就让你带上这颗珠子直奔地狱之门！”

乡村真美。此时正值夏季，田里的小麦都呈现金黄色而燕麦依然青绿。干草被堆放在低洼的草地上，广阔的树林围绕着

田野和草地，树林的中央有多处深邃的湖泊，在阳光最充足的地方矗立着一栋老旧的大宅邸。这栋宅邸被一条深长的壕沟所包围，茂盛的

Afterwards, matters grew worse and worse. The poor duckling was chased and harassed by all the ducklings because he was very ugly.

The ducks bit him, the hens pecked him. and the girl who fed them kicked him aside. Then he ran off and soon came to a great marsh where the wild ducks lived.

He was so tired and miserable that he stayed there the whole night.

In the morning the wild ducks flew up to see their new friend." You are very ugly," said the wild ducks," but that does not matter to us."

He stayed there two whole days . And then two wild geese came.

Just at that moment the sound of "Bang! Bang!" was heard, and both the wild geese fell dead among the reeds.

It was a terrible shock to the poor duckling.

In the evening he reached a little cottage where an old woman lived with her cat and her hen.

Her eyesight was not good, and she thought the duckling was a fat duck.

"I will be rich if I have duck eggs," she said.

So she took in the duckling for three weeks, but he laid no eggs.The cat was the master of the house

Before he knew it, he found himself in a large garden where the apple trees were in

full blossom and long branches of lilacs overhung the shores of the lake.

Just in front of him he saw three beautiful white swans swimming towards him.

and he waited for his death bowing his head towards the water.

But what did he see in the clear water? He was no longer a dark gray ugly bird.

今天，我们二年级段讲故事比赛太精彩了！

印象最深刻的是谢林果同学，她讲的《灯孩儿》的故事让我非常感动，最后灯孩儿为了小盲孩牺牲了自己，把光明带给小盲孩让他重见光明。但我相信灯孩儿下一年还会来的。

还有黄星皓同学，他讲的是《我的幸运一天》，讲得非常搞笑，尤其是里面的那只猪，超级可爱！好像从头到尾我都是咧着嘴听完他的故事，心情都变得轻松、开心！

我心里也跃跃欲试，好想上台表演，但是我不够勇敢，没准备好，我相信自己总有那么一天！

The pattern of the Thanksgiving celebration has never changed through the years. The big family dinner is planned months ahead. On the dinner table, people will find apples, oranges, chestnuts, walnuts and grapes. There will be plum pudding, mince pie, other varieties of food and cranberry juice and squash. The best and most attractive among them are roast turkey and pumpkin pie. They have been the most traditional and favorite food on Thanksgiving Day throughout the years.

The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

二、争当好老师

打铁还需自身硬，她不是一名专业的英语老师，却从此踏上了英语教学的岗位，她知道自己将付出的要比别人多得多，每一个单词，每一篇课文，在教学生之前，都要反反复复的跟录音读很多遍。在教学之余，她能潜心钻研，认真学习教学理念，充实自己，完善自己，积极的撰写教学心得，总结在教学中的一些体会和经验，把实践的教学心得上升到理论的层次和高度，个人的多篇教研论文在省市教学杂志上发表，多篇论文在国家、省、市级评比中获奖，撰写的全镇英语质量分析报告连续3年获得县评比一等奖。此外，还积极参与课题研究，并将课程研究成果运用到日常英语教学中去，先后主持了县十五、十一五、十二五课题研究，均顺利结题。

四、争做好队友

工作中她都能够坚持发挥自己乐于助人的善良本性，无论是哪一个老师需要帮助，她都会不遗余力的去贡献自己的力量。所以，每一个老师在需要上公开课，或者比赛课，或者是教学中有什么困惑的时候，都喜欢来找她，和她一起探讨，或者请她帮忙出主意，做课件等等，同事们的信任对她来说就是最大的动力，记不清有多少个夜晚为了别人的课，或是别人的课件她熬到深夜，有时候只是为一句话，或是一个字体，一个图片，反反复复的修改，只是为了不辜负别人对她的信赖。看到同事们一个个取得喜人的成绩她也由衷的替她们感到高兴!

Snow-white

Once there was a Queen. She was sitting at the window. There was snow outside in the garden-snow on the hill and in the lane, snow on the hunts and on the trees: all things were white with snow.

The Queen was making a coat for a little child. She said, "I want my child to be white as this cloth, white as the snow. And I shall call her Snow-white."

Some days after that the Queen had a child. The child was white as snow. The Queen called her Snow-white.

But the Queen was very ill, and after some days she died. Snow-white lived, and was a very happy and beautiful child.

One year after that, the King married another Queen. The new Queen was very beautiful; but she was not a good woman.

A wizard had given this Queen a glass. The glass could speak. It was on the wall in the Queens room. Every day the queen looked in the glass to see how beautiful she was. As she looked in the glass, she asked: "Tell me, glass upon the wall, who is most beautiful of all?" And the glass spoke and said: "The Queen is most beautiful of all."

Year went by. Snow-white grew up and became a little girl. every day the Queen looked in the glass and said, "Tell me, glass upon the wall, who is most beautiful of all?" And the glass said, "Snow-white is most beautiful of all."

When the Queen heard this, she was very angry. She said, "Snow-white is not more beautiful than I am. There is no one who is more beautiful than I am."

Then the Queen sat on her bed and cried.

After one hour the Queen went out of her room. She called one of the servants, and said, "Take Snow-white into the forest and kill her."

The servant took Snow-white to the forest, but he did not kill her, because she was so beautiful and so good. He said, "I shall not kill you; but do not go to the Kings house, because the Queen is angry and she will see you. If the Queen sees you, she will make some other man kill you. Wait here in the forest; some friends will help you." Then he went away.

Poor Snow-white sat at the foot of a tree and cried. Then she saw that night was coming. She said, "I will not cry. I will find some house where I can sleep tonight. I cannot wait here: the bears will eat me."

She went far into the forest. Then she saw a little hut. She opened the door of the hut, and went in. In the hut she saw seven little beds. There was a table, and on the table there were seven little loaves and seven little glasses. She ate one of the loaves. Then she said, "I want some water to drink." So she drank some water out of one of the glasses. Then she fell asleep on one of the seven little beds.

The hut was the home of seven Little Men. When it was night, the seven Little Men came to the hut. Each Little Man had a big beard, and a little blue coat. Each Little Man came into the hut, and took his little lamp. Then each Little Man sat down, and ate his little loaf, and drank his little glass of water.

But one Little Man said, "Someone has eaten my little loaf." And another Little Man said, "Someone has drunk my little glass of water." Then the seven Little Men went to bed, but one Little Man said, "Someone is sleeping on my little bed." All the seven Little Men came to look at Snow-white as she slept on the Little Mens bed. They said, "She is very beautiful."

Snow-white awoke, and saw the seven Little Men with their big beards standing near her bed. She was afraid. The Little men said, "Do not be afraid. We are your friends. Tell us how you came here." Snow-white said, "I will tell you." Then she told them her story.

They said, "Do not be afraid. Live here with us. But see that the door shut when we are not in the house with you. Do not go out. If you go out, the bad Queen will find you. Then she will know that you are not dead, and will tell someone to kill you." So Snow-white lived in the hut with the seven Little Men.

After some days Snow-white went into the garden. One of the Queens servants was going through the forest, and he saw her. He went and told the Queen, "Snow-white is in a hut in the forest." The Queen was very angry when she heard that Snow-white was not dead.

The Queen took an apple. She made a hole in the red side of the apple, and put some powder into the hole. Then she put on old clothes and went to the hut. She called, "Is any one there?" Snow-white opened the door, and came out to her. The Queen said, "I have some pretty apples. Eat one of my pretty apples." Snow-white took the apple and said, "Is it good?" The Queen said, "See, I will eat this white side of the apple; you eat the red side. Then you will know that it is good."

Snow-white ate the red side of the apple. When the powder was in her mouth, she fell down dead. The Queen went back to her house. She went into her room. she looked into the glass and said, "Tell me, glass upon the wall, who is most beautiful of all?" The glass said, "The Queen is most beautiful of all." Then the Queen know that Snow-white was dead.

The Little Men came back to the hut. When they saw that Snow-white was dead, the poor Little Men cried. Then they put Snow-white in a box made of glass. They took the glass box to a hill and put it there, and said, "Everyone who goes by will see how beautiful she was." Then each Little Man put one white flower on the box, and they went away.

Just as they were going away, a Prince came by. He saw the glass box and said, "What is that?" Then he saw Snow-white in the box. He said, "She was very beautiful: but do not put her there. There is a hall in the garden of my fathers house. It is all made of white stone. We will take the glass box and put it in the hall of beautiful white stone."

The Little Men said, "Take her." Then the Prince told his servants to take up the box. They took up the box. Just then one of the servants fell down. The box fell, and Snow-white fell with the box. The bit of apple fell out of her mouth: she awoke, and sat up, and said, "Where am I?"

The Prince said, "You are with me. I never saw anyone as beautiful as you. Come with me and be my Queen."

The Prince married Snow-white, and she became his Queen.

A man went and told this to the bad Queen. When she heard it she was so angry that she fell down dead.

Snow-white lived and was very happy ever after. And the Little Men came to see her every year.

白雪公主

果然被娘说中!十三岁那年，他悄悄离开家，跟着征兵的队伍走了。一走就是二十多年。等他再见到娘时，娘鬓发已苍，岁纹丛生，他则成了中华人民共和国的军官，英姿飒爽，在南方的一个城市娶妻生子，呼风唤雨，落地生根。娘看他的眼神，客客气气小心翼翼，像看一个大人物，跟他隔着十万八千里的距离。后来，他又回过老家两三次，电话打了无数遍，想把娘带出去，可是，娘都婉言拒绝了。做了将军以后，他身不由己，再也没回过老家。娘已经进入耄耋之年。他南征北战几十载，保家卫国，暮年真该回去行点孝啊!寒冷的冬天已经来临，不知娘跟前的儿孙们，会不会有谁给娘暖一回被窝?

如今的将军少了许多的顾忌，说走就走。他急急火火下了飞机，风尘仆仆，回到山村。整个村子都轰动了，好多干部、乡亲簇拥着他，众星捧月一般。娘眼巴巴地站在村口站在寒冷的风中迎接，不知道站了多少时辰!娘扎着黑色的绑腿，深蓝的棉衣棉裤，身子又瘦又小，看上去很轻飘，不经风吹。再近，看清娘黑瘦的脸，如一枚干巴巴的红枣，满嘴的牙齿掉得光光，微张着，像老屋的破窗户洞开。那梦里的乌发银簪，俏生生的容颜，全部遗失在岁月深处!他泪花闪闪，腿一软，大老远跪下：“娘!儿子回来孝顺您了!”娘早已泪涌如泉。

娘的气息蕴上来，是陌生的。他蒙上头，抽动着鼻孔，使劲儿嗅，搜索童年时的记忆，末了，无声地哭了。像一只倦怠的鹰，穿越五六十年光阴的山川河流，他又回到生命的起始地。他心里说，娘，儿子再不离开您了!

直到他把被窝暖得没有一片凉的地方，才服侍娘在床的另一头脱衣睡下。娘腿脚冰凉，碰到了他，被他一把搂住，焐在腋窝底下，暖。

不知不觉，他睡着了。

他又梦到了娘，娘依然俏生生的，站在满山满坡的杏树底下。这次，娘是向他告别。娘说：“娘该走了!”他急，追着娘跑，又追不上。撒泼，哭号，顿时惊醒。娘的身子像一块冰，抱在怀里凉飕飕的。再看娘，鼻息全无，驾鹤西去。
