My teacher gave me an assignment "experience life" last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.

Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.

I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. My school is in the east end of the city. It takes me half an hour to get to school on foot. I usually ride a bike to school.

There are over one hundred and fifty teachers and about two thousand students in our school. We have two classroom buildings.The office building is three storeys high. On weekdays our teachers often take us to the laboratories to do experiments. Sometimes we have English lesson in the language lab. We have a very large playground.

After school we take part in various activities, such as ball games, painting, singing and dancing. I like to play football with my classmates.

I love my teachers. I love my school.

Last night, I watched a tennis game, it was the US open, because there was

a Chinese female player came to the semi-final, so I stayed up to watched the

game. Unluckily, she was injured twice, though she still wanted to finish the

game, her body situation did not allow her to do so. Her insistence moved so

many audience, they gave her the biggest applause.

The power of insistence is great, it will help you set free your potential

and keep move on. Just for the players, they will face all kinds of incidences

now and then, but the will to insist will make them finish the game. Sometimes,

people win the game not because of their excellent skills, but their strong
