Li Yan, an engineer, was born on February 9, 1965 in Beijing, China. After

Nowadays， more and more people like to travel in their holidays. The other day I read a report about the ways people spend their holidays. From the report we can see that in 20XX，40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced to 9 percent. More people go out for fun. This years summer vacation was most enjoyable. I spent fifteen days helping my grandparents doing farm work in the countryside， where I saw mountains fields covered with green plants. Sometimes I went swimming in the river to the west of the village， the water in which was quite clear.

I kept a diary every day. Besides doing farm work， I help the children in the neighborhood with their lessons. All of them showed interest in English.
