原来，地震是突然间发生的大地震动现象，就像刮风、下雨一样，是一种很普遍的自然现象。地球上的震动实际上非常频繁，大概每30秒种就会有一次，但大多数都非常缓和，人们都没有感觉。我们能感觉到的地震是由于地球板块之间产生相对运动，岩石层受到严重挤压，产生巨大的能量使岩石在瞬间发生断裂，或者使原来已经存在的断裂突然活动，释放出大量能量，而其中一部分能量传到地球表面，使大地剧烈地颤动，从而引起强烈地震。地震开始发生的地点称为震源，震源上方的地面称为震中，破坏性地震的地面最烈处称为极震区，而极震区往往就是震中所在的地方。地震发生时，震源发出的在地壳中传向四面八方的冲击波称为地震波。地震波冲击到地面，就会引发灾难。

我们中国人非常聪明，早在东汉时期，就有一位叫张衡的科学家发明了用来观测地震的侯风地动仪，而我们现代的科学家也一般都借助地震仪来测量地震波的传播速度，判断地震发生的地点和时间。

知道了地震知识以后，还要学习地震发生前的提前预警和自我保护方法，我想，了解到这些知识对我们自己是非常有用的。

随着时间的流逝，我已然成为一名小学生了。有一次学校举行长跑比赛，听到发令枪声后，我什么也不顾了，任零乱的发梢轻抚脸颊，任腾起的尘土笼罩身躯。不为别的，只为年少时的拼搏与上进。在接近终点时，“扑通”一下，我却跌倒了。全场寂静。我不愿让别人扶起我，忍痛艰难站起，冲向最后的终点。在跨过终点的一刹那，我的泪水终于不争气地滑落下来，与汗水相融在一起，在脸颊上尽情流淌。我怕别的同学看见，偷偷地用双手拭去泪水，坐在草坪上，微笑着……

如今，我已经是初三的学生，为了心中的目标，每天我奔跑在学校和家之间，日复一日，但我从不觉得累，只感觉到生活带给自己的充实感。直到此时，我才明白奔跑的内涵。

奔跑的人，追逐的是梦，但终究有一天好梦成真;奔跑的人，拼搏的是血，它终将染红大地，成为人生路上的“红毯”;奔跑的人，收获的是“甜”，因为经历了凄风苦雨，必然会迎来云淡风轻的甜美。

“把浩瀚的海洋装进我胸膛，即使再小的帆也能远航”。在人生路上奔跑的人们，每一位都是独一无二的，每一位都是幸福满满的，因为他们坚信，奔跑的尽头是希望。
