On Computer Games

A step out of the limit can always bring about unfavorable results. Indulgence in computer games can alienate people from health. A too long engagement in the games will strain the eyes and make them become tired easily. What’s more, they can turn out to be sleep saboteurs who disorder the body’s internal clock, mess people’s minds and seduce them to stay up late at night.

Computer games peril people psychologically as well as physically. They don’t encourage people to communicate with others. In this case, people can become alienated from friends, which is essentially harmful, especially to young people. Another aftermaths of the indulgence in the computer games is that some kids who have weak judgment and self-control may imitate the violence in the games and even flirt with crimes.

In conclusion, computer games are not an angel or a demon by themselves. It’s up to game player to mold them. The principle of moderation applies to everything in the world, including playing the games. Only when people strike a balance between entertainment and regular life, can they enjoy a healthy and joyful lifestyle.

The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on

the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This

festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and

statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a

river.

The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It

symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period， these

races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork.

Besides， the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous

rice). Zongzi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and

wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong

zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.

With the changes of the times， the memorial turns to be a time for

protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy

herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the

significance of the festival might be different with the past， it still gives

the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural

heritage.

I am sure you will be sympathetic, however, when I tell you that my father is dangerously ill in hospital, and that I found it impossible to leave for the visit when he is in this state.

My father was working very hard on his project on protecting the environment. I know the project has come to a very important stage. He and his assistants did not take regular rest for three weeks. Last night, my father had a heart attack and was soon sent to the hospital. The doctor said my father was in a very serious situation, and, he might need an operation.

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many

different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air

pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of

disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will

take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung

cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition

will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution.

Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the

action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being

cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of

protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them

have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers

or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the

environment needs everybody’s effort.

今天下午第一节课，老师说：“我们玩一个游戏，这个游戏一定能让你们捧腹大笑。”我想：“那是什么游戏呢?难道是说笑话，还是说绕口令。”可是到下课，老师都还没有说游戏规则，难道不做了吗?

接着，老师请孙尚武到前面去看下一张纸条，孙尚武刚一看完纸条，他就哈哈大笑。我当时就想：“他为什么要笑呢?那顶上到底写了什么呢?”我真想上去看看那张纸条上都写了什么。当老师说不让孙尚武看纸条时，再另外选一位同学时，我们就争着抢着举起了手，我们都希望老师能选到自己。就在这时，听到老师说不让男生去，让女生去的时候，我们心里都很开心。我想：“男生的心里肯定都很不高兴吧!”

当老师让张晓月上去的时候，我们都失望了。可是张晓月看到纸条后竟然也是哈哈大笑，而且笑的连腰都直不起来了。还是同一张纸条为什么他们都笑的那么开心?原来老师用我们写的词语组成了一句话。老师拿起纸条念了出来：“小船在图书馆里吃红薯。”老师也哈哈大笑接着又抽了一张纸条念了出来：“小熊猫在教室里拔萝卜。”同学们都开心的笑个不停，这真是一节有趣的课。

member feel happy and comfortable. So, how to make a home sweet?

First, respecting and understanding each other is the key to make a home

sweet, especially living in a big family. Everyone in the family has his or her

own opinion and has different way to deal with the matters, and it is impossible

to make family members see eye to eye with each other. Therefore, when we are

meeting different opinions, we need to give our respect and understanding to

周六下午，小区举行游园活动，我和妈妈一起去参加。

屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

星期四早上，我们最后一节课是课外活动，有趣的老鹰捉小鸡游戏作文。到了最后一节课，大家都很高兴。来到操场上，我请几位同学和我一起玩老鹰捉小鸡，我们先用“剪刀、石头、布”争当老鹰。游戏开始了，“老鹰”闪着凶恶的眼光，好像几年没吃东西一样，“小鸡”们看了“它”的眼睛就很害怕。“老鹰”猛地一扑，脚下一滑，摔倒在地上，“鸡妈妈”和“小鸡”们都笑了。可是乐极生悲，一只“小鸡”只顾着笑，也不小心摔倒了。“老鹰”看见了，连忙跑过去左右进攻，最后还是把这只摔倒在地上的“小鸡”给“吃”了。其它的“小鸡”看见了哇哇大叫。“老鹰”趁“母鸡”不注意，一下子就把“小鸡”吃了个精光。“老鹰”胜利了，我们这些“小鸡”失败了，“老鹰”乐得手舞足蹈。我喜欢这个有趣的老鹰捉小鸡游戏，因为它给我的童年生活带来了无穷的乐趣！

昨天刚吃午饭，就接到电话叫我们班主任两点到校。很纳闷：有什么急事呀。长期午眠的我，只好牺牲这宝贵的午休时间，提前五分钟赶到了学校。。只有校长一脸灿烂地给我们介绍了来校的原因，活动负责人我们所有班主任居然等了她一个小时，手机打不通，不得已才打座机，原来她还在美梦中呢。等来后，就那么一句话：明天搞捐赠仪式，准备鼓号队和给领导戴红领巾的队员。我们就为这句话足足耽搁了自己两个小时。并且这些常用的队伍是现成的呀。随要随到。

为确保仪式质量，下午两节课还得训练，其他学生跟着玩呗。

今早提前半小时到校，本想改作业，则坐到办公室，就叫去组织集合，准备出发。一切准备就绪，突然打电话要鲜花队，并且在二十分钟内出发，这可乱套了，叫出鲜花队的学生，服装却不一致，也难怪呀，今天星期五，许多学生的校服脏了，早换了。没办法，只好叫出所有穿校服的学生，重新选了一批，原来鲜花队员有的也连忙到处去借校服，学校那阵可热闹啦。负责人更象热锅上的蚂蚁。突然电话来了，说我们迎接的人还在八十公里外。哎……

等啊，等啊，终于可以出发啦，已经是第三节下课了。来到捐赠地点，只见主席台上鲜艳夺目，对联、幕布喜气洋洋，两边音箱高垒。迎宾小姐，市、县有关领导早已在周围闲谈。台下大操场里坐满了兄弟学校的学生。气势还真大呢。

盼啊，望啊，阴冷了好几天的太阳这时不知是好奇，还是有意竟高高地悬在了头顶。许多学生解开了外套。

三辆警车相继来了，领导的车终天出现了。鼓号齐鸣。颗颗晶莹的汗珠从那吹号队员的额上滴落。

还好，仪式前后不到十分钟，可已接近下午一点，学生回校后再回家，不知该是啥时候了。

宏大的场面，来去的耗资，两天十几个班学生的时间，捐赠的钱物，这是什么式子呢?下午到校后听说这好象又是一个非等式。

同样的事件在某校也有过，他们所受的捐物与学生不对号，可他们迎宾的钱不知要买多少适合的书了。

形式呀，这就叫什么特色来着?

忙碌的星期天

Last week , I had a busy Sunday.

I got up at six oclock at first ,Then ,I must washed my face and brushed

my teeth in ten minutes,Following,I need for breakfast .My breakfast was very

delicious ,so I ate them fast.After this,I went out and went played basketball

with my best friend ,Tom ,in the school playground .We knew many tempering is

good to health, so we can train each week together .In the noon,I went home and

cooked my lunch by myself ,then ate it .In the afternoon ,I stayed at home .I

read books and did my homework three hours .I n the evening ,it is mountain in

the sun ,I began to washed my dirty clothes .At the oclock ,I went to bed and

had a rest.

今天上午的体育课，我们全班男生都参加了一个叫“灌篮高手”的游戏活动。这次游戏的规则是： 每四个人一组，游戏开始，由队伍最前面的一个人站在指定的地点投篮，如果投中了，就继续投；如果没投中，就排到队伍的最后去，等候下一轮的投篮。每个人进行十轮以后，再计算谁投中的次数多，他就是今天的“灌篮高手”。

游戏开始了，首先是站在队伍最前面的杨阳同学投球，他站在指定的位置后，双膝微微弯曲，双手托着球，然后猛地往上一跳，在跳的那一瞬间把球投出去，球好像很听杨阳的话似的，乖乖地进了篮筐。我不会打篮球，，但是老师偏偏把我放在第二位，没有办法，我只好赶紧记住杨阳投篮的一系列动作。过了一会儿后，轮到我了我学着杨阳的动作投篮，可是球好像不听我的话似的，我本想投篮，球却砸到了边框上，我看见后，就会想我的动作和杨阳的有什么不一样，哦，我明白了，原来是我的膝盖在投篮的时候没有弯曲，球出手时的准度不够。

又过了一轮，我再次投球，我改正了刚才的错误，像杨阳一样的投篮，球终于进了！接着，我继续投篮，可是球没有进，虽然球没进，但是我摸着了一点篮球的门道。

很快，每个人都投完了十次。最后，老师统计投中次数，我得了第一，怎么样？不赖吧！不过我还得说一句：是倒数的。

这场游戏玩得太开心了。

Christmas Day is on December 25th. It was originated in the western

country, but today, this festival has been celebrated by the world. For the

manufacturers, they are very happy to make this day as a shopping day. I enjoy

the great atmosphere.

I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

she brought us the desserts she made early in the morning. We enjoyed the

home-made cakes. Whats more, she invited us to came to her house and spent the

day with her. Then for the first time, I ate big turkey, which was so delicious.

The turkey was filled with many stuffs and the flavor was so good. After dinner,

we sang songs and danced.

Thanks to my foreign teacher, I experienced the American style festival. It

was such funny for me. Though today many people enjoy shopping in all kinds of

festivals, the meaning of these festival should be remembered.

In the past, people tend to keep on the rail. No matter who doesn’t follow

the rules, he would be criticized by the public opinion. Nowadays, with the

rapid development of our society, more and more people recognize the importance

of creation. The development of our country, our society even ourselves need

creation.

First of all, creation is the most important factor to improve the ability

of our country. Some people think that the essence of the human civilization is

the result of creation. It is certain that in order to stand a good place in the

international circle, our country has to train the creative people, so that they

Unluckily she was hurt badly in a contest. Since then she hasnt stood up. But she faces the fact bravely and overcomes all kinds of difficulties.

Now she is studying hard in Beijing University. She wants to do some useful things for our country after graduation. Her spirit encourages many people.
