靠近一探，天呐!不会吧!故事般的情节竟在现实上演，是那么的难以置信呀!只见那司机大叔一副生不如死的样子，大概是心脏病突发，那血液直被逼上了头，他的脸涨得通红，脖子上暴露的青筋突兀着，身体微微的颤抖着。然而，他吃力地紧咬着牙关，即使手僵着，却仍不停止操纵着方向盘。周围的乘客惊呆了，一个个被吓的傻了眼。慢慢地，车子向路的一边缓缓靠近，最后停了下来。一大堆的问号在乘客们的脑海中闪过。“为什么……?”司机大叔努力地微微扬起嘴角，轻轻地吐出了几个清晰的字，“这……是……我的……责任。”说罢，他安详地闭上了双眼。

“减速、靠边、停车”，这是那位司机大叔临终前努力完成的三件事，他在生命结束时仍不忘自己的责任。

人生的意义何在?此刻，如春天来临冬雪融化，似初阳升起晨雾消散，像塔灯亮起航船不再迷失，我心中的疑问一扫而空，一盏明灯在我头上高高挂起：生命的意义在于能担当责任，完成责任!

I understand your well-respected college offers a number of places to overseas students every year, and I am writing to enquire about the application procedure.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school in many inter-school contests.

On the advice of my friends, I have decided to further my studies in England because I wish to widen my horizons and benefit from the scholarly heritage of your country.

我从小听老师讲过这样几个故事：

晋代时，车胤从小好学不倦，但因家境贫穷，父亲无法为他提供良好的学习环境。为了维持温饱，没有多余的钱买灯油供他晚上读书。为此，他只能利用白天背诵诗文。

夏天的一个夜晚，他正在院子里背一篇文章，忽然见许多萤火虫在地空中飞舞。一闪一闪的光点，在黑暗中闪得有些耀眼。他想，如果把许多的萤火虫集中到一起，不就成为一盏灯了吗?

于是，他去找了一只白绢口袋，随即抓了几十只萤火虫放在里面，再扎住口袋，把它吊起来。虽然不怎么明亮，但可勉强用来看书了。从此，只要有萤火虫，他就来抓一把来当灯用。由于他勤学苦练后来终于做了职位很高的官。

同朝代的孙康也是如此。由于没钱买灯油，晚上不能看书，只能早早睡觉。他觉得让时间这样白白浪费，非常可惜。一天晚上，孙康从睡梦中醒来，看到大雪透过窗户射进来的一丝光亮。他倦意顿失，不顾寒冷，奔到雪地里读起了书。手脚冻僵了，就起身跑一跑。此后，每逢有雪的晚上，他都会不顾严寒出来读书。后来他也当上了高官。

这些古人爱学、奋斗的精神都是我们应该学习的。现在的条件、科技都在慢慢的进步着，都比以前要好，与他们相比我们有什么理由不去好好学习、努力奋斗呢!

翻看着以前的相册，一张张照片像我叙述着我的成长，时间把那个天真幼稚的小女孩藏在了光阴的角落里，只留下一个逐渐成熟的大女孩。

犹如白驹过隙，时间就那么飞快地流逝。我们永远站在过去和未来的分界点，掌握着现在，却也只能掌握现在。我紧紧地握着它，生怕它溜走，它却在下一秒就随着过去的时间的脚步去了，只留下我在那里怅然。

我下定决心不再理会时光，只做好自己该做的事就好了。然而，考试的倒计时间表，墙上的挂钟，渐斜的太阳的光影，甚至脉搏的跳动都在提醒着我时光的流逝。我猛然醒悟——原来时光是不可阻挡的。

醒悟了，却又颓然：难道我只能看着时光白白流逝吗?复习到《匆匆》一课，朱自清先生的八千多日子过去了，我又何尝不是过去了四千多日子呢?时间不等人，“莫等闲，白了少年头，空悲切!”中国几千年的历史里，又有多少人不是白头之时空悲切呢?总有人感慨时光不肯停下等等，流逝的飞快，未曾想到，何尝不是他们没有把握住时光呢?

过去的时光如渺茫的烟雾，飘散在天际;又如夜空的流星，划过天幕后便没有半丝痕迹。我过去的时间也是这样吧。回头望望，那些过去的时间的影早已消散。

看完了这则成语故事，我不由得想起了二年级的事情。那时我的口算成绩非常差，可我漠不关心，总认为只要认真就可以了。但我的口算不但没有提升反而下降的更猛了。爸爸劝我：“赶紧练习口算吧！别再让口算成绩下滑了。”但我仍然置之不理，最后口算亮了红灯，我才抓紧练习口算，终于又取得了好成绩。

从这个故事中我明白了要及时纠正错误，还要听取别人的劝告，希望大家也可以知错就改。

the metro. Metro is a beautiful place, as a handsome township of children, we

should say loudly: "metro is a good place!"

In metro east side, there is a second Yangtze river bridge, it is currently

the only car sharing with light rail bridge in chongqing. It is not only a

bright spot of the metro and metros masterpiece. Metro is rapid economic

今天天气很好，万里无云，阳光明媚，小兔子出来散步，见到史上最慢的动物小乌龟，得意洋洋的对他说：“今天天气真好啊，小乌龟，你敢跟我赛跑吗?”小乌龟说：“不了，今天已经很晚了，我该回家了!”小兔子怒火冲天的说：“哼，你就是不敢跟我比，胆小鬼，不愧是一只缩头乌龟!”

小乌龟为了家族的荣耀，不得不同意了这场跑步比赛。它们把比赛时间定在了一个星期以后。小乌龟每天都在抓紧练习，而小兔子却每天除了吃，就是睡，完全不会做第三件事情。因为心想小乌龟可是史上跑的最慢、最慢的动物，就算我不练习，我也不会输给那只小乌龟，这次比赛它必输无疑了!

当小兔子醒来时，忽然听见了一阵又一阵欢呼。它立马向终点跑去，看见小乌龟已经到达了终点，小兔子后悔了，它不该没有好好练习，更不该在比赛时得意洋洋还睡着了。

Nowadays, almost everyone has a mobile phone. Some people even have two or

three. Mobile phones changes our lives a lot. It’s so easy to get to others. All

you have to do is making a call. You can talk to anyone no matter how far you

are. Making calls and texting messages are the basic functions of mobile phones.

But now, we can do a lot of things by mobile phones, such as listening to the

music, watching movies, taking photos, reading books and so on. It’s so

functional that it seems like a computer to some extent. Some people even deal
