Today is Saturday， my family and I go to have a picnicin the park， I feel so excited， because our family does not have the activityfor a long time. I enjoy singing very much. While singing, my heart as well as my body is joyful. When Im happy, I often sing out to share my happiness with others. I also sing out to pour out my bad feelings when Im upset.

I like pop music most, because I want to follow the trend. I prefer soft music to rock music. Since we may be very tired after a long days work, we need a rest very much. 靠近一探，天呐!不会吧!故事般的情节竟在现实上演，是那么的难以置信呀!只见那司机大叔一副生不如死的样子，大概是心脏病突发，那血液直被逼上了头，他的脸涨得通红，脖子上暴露的青筋突兀着，身体微微的颤抖着。然而，他吃力地紧咬着牙关，即使手僵着，却仍不停止操纵着方向盘。周围的乘客惊呆了，一个个被吓的傻了眼。慢慢地，车子向路的一边缓缓靠近，最后停了下来。一大堆的问号在乘客们的脑海中闪过。“为什么……?”司机大叔努力地微微扬起嘴角，轻轻地吐出了几个清晰的字，“这……是……我的……责任。”说罢，他安详地闭上了双眼。

“减速、靠边、停车”，这是那位司机大叔临终前努力完成的三件事，他在生命结束时仍不忘自己的责任。

人生的意义何在?此刻，如春天来临冬雪融化，似初阳升起晨雾消散，像塔灯亮起航船不再迷失，我心中的疑问一扫而空，一盏明灯在我头上高高挂起：生命的意义在于能担当责任，完成责任!

我长大了。

I dont remember how many examinations Ive taken since I began my schooling. Truth to tell, I dont like examinations at all. I dare say that, in fact, no student likes examinations.

We often hear people say “Examinations are teachers magic weapon”, so most of us may think it is our teachers who give us students so many examinations. But I dont think so. Almost all of them have once been students before they became teachers. We dont like examinations, and neither do our teachers, which may be reasonably concluded. Whats more,the more examinations we take, the more time will be taken from our teachers and the more troubles our teachers have to take.

It is the system in our country, I think, that gives us students so many examinations. If there were no entrance examinations, and all the students could go up to the higher grades without competition, there would not be so many examinations in primary and middle schools. So it is important and necessary to reform the entrance system. Only in this way can examinations be GREatly reduced, and then all the students will be happier.

Recently, a professor of philosophy in the United States has written a book

called Money and the Meanlng of Life. He has discovered that how we deal with

money in our day-to-day life has more meaning than we usually think. One of the

exercises he asked his students to do is to keep a record of every penny they

spend for a week.From the way they spend their money, they can see what they

He says our relation with others often becomes clearly defined when money

enters the picture. You might have a wonderful friendship with somebody and you

think that you are very good friends. But you will know him only when you ask

him to lend you some money. If he does, it brings something to the relationship

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

For one thing, those who have already benefited from practicing it sing high praise of it. They claim that making friends online has many advantages compared to communicate with each other in face to face. For instance, making friends online can communicate with our friends at any time to strengthen our relationship and save a lot social resources. And we can keep in touch with our friends when we have no time to visit them in person. They also point out that making friends online provides a good chance for us to communicate with people from different social backgrounds and cultures. In other words, making friends online can broaden our horizon and widen our personal relationships. In addition, it also makes contribution to narrow our gap in area and culture.

However, for another, other people hold opposite views towards this issue. They argue that it is dangerous to make friends online. They cite many examples that people cheated by online friends. And they figure out that sometimes it will cause some misunderstanding in culture because some online friends tell lies and provide wrong information.

In my point of view, I am inclined to favor the former though we should be careful when making friends online. To put it in a nutshell, it is wise to make friends online.

As the proverb goes, “no one knows the value of health until he loses it.”

From this, we know that health is very important to everybody. But how to keep

fit? Many people believe that sports can offer people health and pleasure. As

far as I concern, I think doing physical exercises have lots of advantages.

First of all, doing exercises in the morning will refresh my body as well

as give me a good appetite to eat my breakfast. What’s more, the air in the

morning is really fresh and clean, so I can keep my mind clear and sound in the

class. By doing physical every day I can keep my mind alert that I can finish my

tasks in time. If I do not do any physical exercise, I will feel tired and my

body becomes quite sluggish. During the night, I may find it becomes harder to

fall asleep. Second, doing exercises everyday will help me to mound a better

personality. It takes time and patient to do exercises. Sometimes I just want to

give up, but my friends encourage me to carry on, then I feel a lot of

satisfaction. Doing physical exercises makes me stronger and healthier. That’s

my personal experience.

As a student, sports are indispensable. You can pick up your favorite sport

and do it every day. Only in this way, you can have both pleasure and a healthy

body.

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome, but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at playing table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to me. Moreover, whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, he is not spoilt me. For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I would like to copy his, but no matter what I say, he never give his homework to me to copy. Instead he teaches how to do it. “病入膏育”这则成语的膏肓是古以膏为心尖脂肪，肓为心脏与隔膜之间，膏肓之间是药力不到之处。意指病已危重到了无法救治的地步。亦喻事情到了无可挽回的地步。

这个成语来源于《左传.成公十年》，疾不可为也。在肓之上，膏之下，攻之不可，达至不及，药不至焉，不可为也。

春秋时期，晋景公有一次得了重病，听说秦国有一个医术很高明的医生，便专程派人去请来。

医生还没到。晋景公恍惚中做了个梦。梦见了两个小孩，正悄悄地在他身旁说话。

一个说：“那个高明的医生马上就要来了，我看我们这回难逃了，我们躲到什么地方去呢？”另一个小孩说道：“这没什么可怕的，我们躲到肓的上面，膏的下面，无论他怎样用药，都奈何我们不得。”

不一会儿，秦国的名医到了，立刻被请进了晋景公的卧室替晋景公治病。诊断后，那医生对晋景公说：“这病已没办法治了。疾病在肓之上，膏之下，用灸法攻治不行，扎针又达不到，吃汤药，其效力也达不到。这病是实在没法子治啦。”

晋景公听了，心想医生所说，果然验证了自己梦见的两个小孩的对话，便点了点头说：“你的医术真高明啊！”说毕，叫人送了一份厚礼给医生，让他回秦国去了。

有一年夏天，曹操率领部队去讨伐张绣，天气热得出奇，骄阳似火，天上一丝云彩也没有，部队在弯弯曲曲的山道上行走，两边密密的树木和被阳光晒得滚烫的山石，让人透但是气来。到了中午时分，士兵的衣服都湿透了，行军的速度也慢下来，有几个体弱的士兵竟晕倒在路边。

曹操看行军的速度越来越慢，担心贻误战机，心里很是着急。但是，眼下几万人马连水都喝不上，又怎样能加快速度呢?他立刻叫来向导，悄悄问他：“这附近可有水源?”向导摇摇头说：“泉水在山谷的那一边，要绕道过去还有很远的路程。”曹操想了一下说，“不行，时光来不及。”他看了看前边的树林，沉思了一会儿，对向导说：“你什么也别说，我来想办法。”他明白此刻即使下命令要求部队加快速度也无济于事。脑筋一转，办法来了，他一夹马肚子，快速赶到队伍前面，用马鞭指着前方说：“士兵们，我明白前面有一大片梅林，那里的梅子又大又好吃，我们快点赶路，绕过这个山丘就到梅林了!”士兵们一听，仿佛已经吃到嘴里，精神大振，步伐不由得加快了许多。
