He went for walks with them or Rose read to him and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens—he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I dont think goodness is omnipotent yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. 元宵节有个习俗就是吃汤圆，寓意着让每家团团圆圆，今晚奶奶“权力下放”，把煮汤圆的重要任务交给我来执行。我把它看成一件十分重大的任务，生怕煮破了，因此心里好像揣着一只小兔子“怦怦”直跳。我想起以前奶奶教我煮汤圆的经验：先将糯米粉用开水调和成皮，注意水不可以太多，多了会过稀;也不能过少，少了没粘性。然后取一块皮在手掌中搓成圆形，再用手指在上面按一个窝，把芝麻捣碎做馅，放在里面“包”好。放馅时一定不可以太贪心，否则会把皮的“肚子”给撑破的。终于包好后，可以下锅了。我又按照奶奶说的煮汤圆的四个诀窍：“开水下锅，慢水煮，点冷水，勤换水”于是便将自己辛辛苦苦做好的元宵放进水里。没多久，可以起锅了，掀开盖子，只见一个个雪白的汤圆漂浮在水上，彼此紧贴着，好像一粒粒大珍珠，看得我直流口水，将它们舀到碗里，闻着那香喷喷的味道，忍不住先咬了一口，真好吃啊，又香又糯。我刚把汤圆端上桌，大家就狼吞虎咽的吃开了。大家高兴地吃完了我煮的汤圆，“美食家”奶奶还给我打了一个九十五分，夸我长大了，懂事了。我兴奋不已，第一次煮汤圆就得到这么高的评价，我心里美滋滋的。
