A Trip to Beijing

My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer.

On the first day，we visited the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square. The next day，we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. Although we felt tired，it was a fantastic experience. The third day we relaxed. Then we had the Beijing roast duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world. Tom is interested in Chinese culture，so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in Lao She Teahouse in the evening. Finally，we did some shopping and flew back to Guilin.

The trip to Beijing was short，but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.

Tourism in China

Recent years have seen a tency in China that tourism is growing faster. According to a recent survey made by some experts, about 47% urban resits travel regularly, and 28% rural resits also make their tour across the country. The survey also shows that more people are interested in tourism, and will join the army in the future.

Facing this tency, we can&’t help exploring some underlying factors that are responsible. In the very first place, with the policy of reform and opening up, Chinese people&’s living standard has been greatly improved, and therefore, most of them can afford to travel around. What&’s more, it is believed that people now take a more positive attitude to tourism, and regard it as a life style. In addition, tourism facilities are becoming better and better. For example, transportation develops fast, and many scenic spots are available now.

国庆节，我跟着妈妈和舅舅一家去香港旅游。

在香港，我们去了海洋馆，还有小朋友最爱的迪斯尼乐园。但是最令人难忘的还是浅水湾海滩。在那里，我们尽情玩耍，还堆了三坐漂亮的城堡呢!可是，海浪就像一个个顽皮的娃娃，他们手拉手“哗啦哗啦”地冲上岸来，把城堡的部分城墙冲垮，真淘气。为了保护城堡，我和姐姐当起了“超级战士”，抵挡浪花的“进攻”。经过一次又一次的不懈努力，城堡终于像万里长城一样牢固地矗立在海滩边。我们姐弟俩看着自己的劳动成果，开心地在海边跳起了舞。

这次香港旅行，不但带给了我许多欢声笑语，还让我成为了一个勇敢的男子汉，真是太难忘了。

今天，我们全家一起去香港旅游。我们早早就起了床，因为巴士8时就要开走了，所以要早点起床。

出发了，巴士真准时。过了半个小时，我在车上看见了美丽的风景，有山谷、有花草、有树木、还有一面清澈的湖水……过了一个小时我看累了，于是又睡了一个小时。哦，终于到香港了，都有点饿了。跟着，我们到了一家香港特色小吃店吃饭。啊!真好吃。

吃完了，我们去逛街，到处走走，直到晚上6点半才吃饭，我们都很累了，不过很高兴，因为我们买了自己想要的东西，妈妈买了手机、衣服……爸爸买了衣服、照相机……哥哥买了皮包、衣服……我买了衣服、零食……

到了7点我们又继续逛街还买了很多零食和东西。到了10点我们去吃宵夜。吃完都已经很晚了，我们高兴地回到酒店休息。

这次旅行不但收获了不少，而且吃了很多特色小吃，还欣赏了美丽的维多利亚港，我可开心了!

到了沙滩，我就问：“沙滩在哪?在哪?”三舅说：“就在那边。”我说：“啊!这么远啊!”三舅说：“我们先把行李放在度假屋吧!”我们把行李放好后，我就说：“快点去，快点去!”姐姐拉着我说：“等等，先吃东西，不然的话，就没力气摸蚬!”我说：“哦。”吃完东西后，还要换好衣服。我说：“出发喽!”我们走到沙滩后，我就立刻去玩沙，因为我很久没有玩过沙了。只见妈妈拿出专门刮泥沙的工具，我就立刻跟着一起去刮蚬，我们拿着专门的工具刮了一个要一个，一直刮到那个桶满为止，谁知我和妈妈被三舅迷住了，因为他在大海那里摸了一个又一个，而且还有一些大的呢!所以我和妈妈也一起下水了，我们摸了一会就有一只蚬，过了1个小时，就摸了一大箱呢!天也差不多黑了，我们提着一大箱蚬回去度假屋。回到度假屋，我说：“快点烧烤啊!我很饿啊!”姐姐和表姐说：“不行，都还没准备好，怎么烧烤啊!”我说：“啊，还要准备的呀!”过了半个小时后终于可以烧烤了，于是，我们把放在烧烤炉上的碳吹着了。我们把食物插在叉子上，放在烧烤网的上面翻来翻去，过了不一会儿，终于熟了，我在食物上面涂上蜜糖，然后把食物放在碟子上。我说：“我要吃了。”就这样，我们继续吃下去，吃到饱为止，吃完后，我们就把东西收好，收好后，我们就要排队洗澡了，洗完澡后，我们就睡觉了。

Hong Kong is one of the two special administrative regions (SARs) of the Peoples Republic of China, along with Macau. But around the next, one may find theatres showing the latest Hollywood blockbuster, a British-style pub, a Catholic Church or Ronald McDonald inviting passer-bys to a Big Mac. The territorys official language is Chinese and English; signs in both languages are omnipresent throughout Hong Kong. The government, police and most workplaces and stores conduct business bilingually. British rule may have ended a decade ago but Western culture is deeply ingrained in Hong Kong and coexists seamlessly with traditional philosophy and practices of the Orient.

Hong Kong has an active nightlife centred on two major entertainment districts, Lan Kwai Fong (Central) and Wan Chai. Both areas are frequented by expatriates and locals alike. For a more quiet evening, a trip to Victoria Peak offers a spectacular view of the city. There is also a promenade along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, which is popular among young Chinese couples. Shopping, a form of entertainment for the people of Hong Kong, is even done at nighttime as evident in the Temple Street Night Market where one can also catch free performances of Peking opera.

The citys cosmopolitan flavour can also be seen in the wide variety of cuisines available. While different varieties of Chinese selections, especially seafood, are most popular, there are also many European, American, Japanese, Korean, and other restaurants. Ethnic dishes served in cha chaan teng and dai pai dong are also popular. The people of Hong Kong take their food seriously and many top chefs make their way to the city to show off their talents to these discerning diners.

While Hong Kong is a global centre of trade, perhaps the citys most famous export is its entertainment industry, particularly in the martial arts genre. Several top-notch Hollywood performers originate from Hong Kong cinema -- Bruce Lee, Chow Yun-Fat, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li and Leslie Cheung, to name a few. Behind the camera, Hong Kong filmmakers have also struck fortune in Hollywood such as John Woo, Wong Kar-wai, Tsui Hark and martial arts choreographers who have designed fight scenes in the Matrix trilogy, Kill Bill and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Back in Hong Kong, several homegrown films have also gained international recognition such as Chungking Express, Infernal Affairs, Shaolin Soccer, Rumble in the Bronx and In the Mood for Love. Acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has said hes strongly influenced by Hong Kong action cinema.

The Hong Kong government also supports cultural institutions such as the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Furthermore, the governments Leisure and Cultural Services Department also subsidizes and sponsors the bringing of international performers to Hong Kong.

An unforgettable travel experienceThere has been a long time since I came back from Hainan—wowhainan is such a wonderful place that I will never forget it .It‘s really a good place where gave me a rather good impression. I feel so wonderful during the journey as I have experienced a lot of things for the first time.In January 7th ---the first day of my journey the fluttering snowflakes diffused over Changzhou. I first took the train to shanghai then took the plane to Hainan in Pudong airport. Although it’s my second time to take plane I felt even more excited than the first time. When flying I found that I was flying over the cloud of different types and colors. The sky is also brighter and clearer than that I had ever seen. Soon we arrived in Meilan airport in Haikou the climate is totally different from that in Changzhou It was warm there and we could see coconut trees everywhere.After 3 days competition I went to BoAo where is famous for its forum. It was my first time to experience the sea and the beach in the sunshine. When sitting on the cruise I could clearly see the ocean waves pushing the windows of the cruise. It seemed that I was surrounded by the waves and the crystal water.

I felt as if a fish which had been living in the sea happily. Then we land on the beach. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was cosy to lie on the beach. I tried searching for the shells on the beach but failed. The beach was totally different from what I heard before as there was nothing except footsteps on the beach. In the afternoon I played football on beach and scored a goal with my new friends from all around China. It was really interesting and challenging.The next day I went to Haikou. I first visited the tomb of Hairui an officer in Qing dynasty who was famous for rectitude. I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon I went to the geological park of volcano. A lot of stones of different shapes came into views. When arriving the top of the park it seemed that the while city was under my view. Also I had seen plenty of interesting and rare types of the plants. I also got into a small hole in the park it is said that the hold was exactly the original hole where maqma came from. But the volcano had stopped from erupting for thousands of years.I can’t forget this trip not only does it give me a lot of joy knowledge and good memory but also it give me a chance to make friends with people from different fart in China. By enjoying the excellent scenery I think I have fallen in love with this beautiful city. I will cherish this experience.

Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment?

Tourism has developed by leaps and bounds in the past decades in the whole world. Therefore, the issue of whether the tourism will bring harm to the environment is becoming a matter of concern. As for me, I hold that the tourism does more harm than good to the world.

In the first place, the more places we travel to , the more pressure will be added to the environment. Take Dunhuang as an example, the greatest scourge these days comes from the tourists who swarm here by the busload , bring destructive amounts of carbon dioxide and moisture into the caves along with their eagerness for a glimpse of ages past .

Secondly, It has become fashionable for travelers to drive a private car to the place they want to . In this case ,a large number of cars are mushroomed in the road and it cause twice as much as air pollution .At this speed ,we may live in a world which is full of dirty air instead of fresh air.

In sum , although tourism is playing an indispensable role in the society , I still believe that we`d better try to limit its speed according to the harm that brings to the environment.

I went to Yunnan Province with my sister to enjoy my summer vacation. During the five-day trip, we visited many famous sites of interest in this province. Among them, Stone Forest in Lunan Yi Nationality Autonomous County leaves a deepest inpression upon me for its strange, steep yet magnificent landscape. Indeed, both my sister and I had such a good time in this tour that we could not help but plan our trip to this province for another time the moment we arrived at home!

Travelling on my own， I’m my own boss； and can decide when to start on my way， where to linger a little longer and which spot can be skipped over to save energy or time for another spot. I can always adjust my plan. On the contrary， in a package tour you‘re deprived of as much freedom as in a military base. At the sound of the whistle， you have to jump up from a sound sleep and， with heavy-lidded eyes， hurry to the gathering place where you are collected and counted to board a coach. At the sight of the little flag waving， you must immediately take yourself away from the scenes you are marveling at and follow the guide whose sole interest is to cover all spots according to him strict schedule， regardless of the weather or your health condition.

True，you may encounter inconveniences if you travel inpidually，for instance， getting accommodations for the night and finding a place for meals. But nothing can be compared with the freedom which is vital to a person who takes a holiday trip mainly to escape from constraints of his routine life.

On my first night in shanghai,I went to the Huangpu River.There is bright light on the tall buildings on the other side.It was comfortable to walk by the river and enjoy the wind.

The second day I visited the Oriental Pearl.It’s the symbol of Shanghai and it is located in the Huangpu River at the point of Lujiazui.And then I took the subway to cross Huangpu River tunnel for sightseeing.It connects the Bund, Shanghai and Pudong.There are all kinds of colors and patterns transforming constantly in the tunnel.I was very excited. The Bund, Shanghai is on the other side of the Huangpu River.There are 52 different styles of classical revival buildings.It is the symbol of the history of Shanghai.When I saw these buildings,I could felt the style in Shanghai at that time. Madame Tussauds and Old millfun 1933 are my favourite.I saw many Chinese superstars’ wax figures such as Wu Yifan,Huang Xiaoming in Madame Tussauds.And there are also internastional stars,sports stars,cultural celebrities and so on.These wax figures are like a real person.I was very interested in it.Old millfun 1933 is famous.Tiny Times and Running man have shoted here.It is not gorgeous ,but it reserved integrity.It shows us the culture about that time.

TravelTravel is a very good means of broadening a person’s perspective. 渐渐地，人逐渐的多了起来，然后变得很拥挤。差点把我挤倒了。就这样直到12点钟才到香港。13点钟吃饭，而且吃的饭菜都不好吃。

我们要去逛街，就这样我们一直熬到5点钟，我们要去海洋公园，我们要7点钟出来，我就得山下面都不好玩，于是我们坐海洋列车，到山顶上，我要玩疯狂过山车，有10米高，而且是圆形的，我妈妈一坐完，就头痛了一个晚上，我爸爸又不敢坐，我也就得太刺激了，因为它是360度旋转地，速度又快。因为5点钟在海洋剧场有一个表演，是一个海狮和海豚的表演，驯养员叫一个女的上来摸摸海狮，又叫他亲亲海狮，海狮有点不高兴，于是海狮把一个女的退下了水，我们看到那个女的不会游泳，突然我们看到一只海豚游过来，那个女的抓着海豚的鳍，海豚像火箭一样，游到岸边，驯养员把他救上岸，然后海狮也积极的给那个女的做人工呼吸，那个女的终于醒了，他给我们举了个躬。我们信以为真，原来他是故意叫海狮把他推下水的，我们惊虚一场。

我们下山的时候是坐缆车回来的。

第二天一大早，导游给我们迪士尼乐园的门票，要玩7个小时，我还不这道怎么熬下去，我最喜欢玩的是驰奔赛车、坐船。玩完明日世界我们就开始吃东西，我吃了两个鸡腿和一个热狗。

到了5点钟，我们开始走了，我离不开香港，但是我必须离开，因为我离不开爸爸妈妈。让我知道香港不能随地吐痰、扔垃圾。否则罚款5000港币。如果我们深圳能这样就好了。

到达香港的第二天我们一家去了迪士尼。其实，迪士尼在我眼中并不是那么好玩。因为很多东西都是小屁孩玩的，我们已经过了年龄。今天我们来到了我更加期盼的海洋公园。

我们一大早出发，从九龙的尖沙咀坐地铁，然后转乘双层巴士，到达位于香港岛的海洋公园时都九点半了。我们先乘坐缆车到达热带雨林天地，那我们第一个玩的的就是“热带激流”了。六个人坐在一条圆形的船里顺着河道漂流——不，是“海道”。途中船忽上忽下，一会儿慢慢上去，一会儿又迅速冲下来，时而还会有水喷到身上，不过在炎炎夏日这样是非常爽的。后来，我们又玩了“滑浪飞船”，一看就比“热带激流”刺激，为此，我由怪异的打扮上了船：泳帽、泳镜样样齐全。不过，我的胆小鬼老爸还不敢去呢!上了船，我们先是慢慢上了个高坡，然而并没有立即快速冲下来，而是转弯上了一条和“热带激流”一样的水道，沿途不时激起一阵阵波浪，将我们弄得浑身湿透，可仍然还是爽不可言。强烈的阳光告诉我们已经中午了。好玩的都被我们玩了个精光，所以我们决定下午去浅水湾。

到了浅水湾，我和老爸去海里游泳，妈妈和姐姐坐在沙滩上吃东西。我终于再次品味到了海水有多么的咸，在海里游泳有多么的难。阵阵波涛将我推向白色的沙滩，使我在换气时不小心嘴里灌进了海水。游完泳，你如果在太阳下晒很久，不但不会变黑，还会变白。因为太阳光会将身上的海水晒成了海盐。回到酒店，我已经筋疲力尽了，今天的香港岛一日游实在是令人难忘。

去年，我和妈妈乘飞机到香港。那里是我期盼已久的地方，到了那个地方已经是晚上了，我和妈妈就住进了旅馆。

第二天一早，我和妈妈就直奔我梦寐以求的迪斯尼乐园。我在那边跟妈妈玩了很多项目，有咖啡杯、旋转木马、风火轮、荡秋千，这些游戏我都喜欢玩，但我最喜欢玩的还是小小乐园了，里面有木偶、有骆驼、还有那些会买东西的女仆，迪斯尼乐园真好玩啊!

第三天，我和妈妈乘游览车来到了海洋公园，我看了海豚和海狮表演，海豚在水里跳来跳去，好像在欢迎我们的到来，海狮很调皮，突然，从水里冒出来，吓了我一大跳，我们都觉得他们表演的很精彩，我为它们拍掌，拍的我手都红了。

晚上，我们还去了太平山，一盏盏灯发出了五颜六色的光，还有那一座座高大的楼房似乎都在发光，香港的夜景真美呀!

美丽的香港使我流连忘返，下一次我一定还会再来的!
