The citys cosmopolitan flavour can also be seen in the wide variety of cuisines available. While different varieties of Chinese selections, especially seafood, are most popular, there are also many European, American, Japanese, Korean, and other restaurants. The people of Hong Kong take their food seriously and many top chefs make their way to the city to show off their talents to these discerning diners.

While Hong Kong is a global centre of trade, perhaps the citys most famous export is its entertainment industry, particularly in the martial arts genre. Several top-notch Hollywood performers originate from Hong Kong cinema -- Bruce Lee, Chow Yun-Fat, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li and Leslie Cheung, to name a few. Behind the camera, Hong Kong filmmakers have also struck fortune in Hollywood such as John Woo, Wong Kar-wai, Tsui Hark and martial arts choreographers who have designed fight scenes in the Matrix trilogy, Kill Bill and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Recent years have seen a tency in China that tourism is growing faster. According to a recent survey made by some experts, about 47% urban resits travel regularly, and 28% rural resits also make their tour across the country. The survey also shows that more people are interested in tourism, and will join the army in the future.

Facing this tency, we can&’t help exploring some underlying factors that are responsible. In the very first place, with the policy of reform and opening up, Chinese people&’s living standard has been greatly improved, and therefore, most of them can afford to travel around. What&’s more, it is believed that people now take a more positive attitude to tourism, and regard it as a life style. In addition, tourism facilities are becoming better and better. For example, transportation develops fast, and many scenic spots are available now.

In recent years, tourism has been popular and played an important role in our nation’s economic growth. However, I am afraid that if tourism develops over, it will bring harm to the environment and give rise to many problems.

There are a few reasons accounting for my views and I would like to list three of them. One of the examples is that a large number of woods and other plants were replaced by all kinds of accommodation facilities or scenic spots. That definitely breaks the ecological balance of these areas and destroys the natural beauty of the scenic spots. Worse still, more pressure has been placed environment protection in that many tourists left their garbage in the scenic spots. In addition, over-developed tourism will occupy large numbers of farmland and lead to the shortage of the land.

In a word, tourism will be harmful to our environment if it is over development. Thus, I do not advocate that we development tourism without considering the environment. Madame Tussauds and Old millfun 1933 are my favourite.I saw many Chinese superstars’ wax figures such as Wu Yifan,Huang Xiaoming in Madame Tussauds.And there are also internastional stars,sports stars,cultural celebrities and so on.These wax figures are like a real person.I was very interested in it.Old millfun 1933 is famous.Tiny Times and Running man have shoted here.It is not gorgeous ,but it reserved integrity.It shows us the culture about that time.

Shanghai gave me a perfect holiday.

今天，我可兴奋了，因为我和爸爸妈妈就要去香港迪士尼游玩了。

经过漫长的车程之后，我们来到了迪士尼乐园酒店放下行李，就乘坐着酒店巴士来到了迪士尼乐园。

迪士尼可热闹了，有旋转木马，有小飞象，还有疯狂帽子转转杯。让我最喜欢的，只能是疯狂帽子转转杯了。

疯狂帽子转转杯有许多的大杯子，人可以坐在里面，等工作人员按下按钮，大杯子就好像有魔法一样，飞快地旋转起来，可好完了，杯子里还有一个圆圆的转盘，把它转起来，杯子就转得更欢了，我经常把它转得飞快，把爸爸妈妈转得晕晕乎乎的。

迪士尼乐园真好玩呀!

Los Angeles,known as LA,locates on the west coast of the states,which is the second largest city in America.West coast is known for the incredible weather year round.Days are longer here in August,and its pretty warm in the evening,so summer is the best time to visit LA.There are a lot of stuff to see here in LA,for example,Hollywood,Disneyland and China Town as well as Korean town,etc.Basically,LA is one of the few international cities around the world,where you can taste authentic cuisines from many other countries.Southern California is a very relaxing place,people go to beach,museums and games just to escape from a week of hard working.You should definitely come here for your summer vacation.I will be your tour guide for sure.

An unforgettable travel experienceThere has been a long time since I came back from Hainan—wowhainan is such a wonderful place that I will never forget it .It‘s really a good place where gave me a rather good impression. I feel so wonderful during the journey as I have experienced a lot of things for the first time.In January 7th ---the first day of my journey the fluttering snowflakes diffused over Changzhou. I first took the train to shanghai then took the plane to Hainan in Pudong airport. Although it’s my second time to take plane I felt even more excited than the first time. When flying I found that I was flying over the cloud of different types and colors. The sky is also brighter and clearer than that I had ever seen. Soon we arrived in Meilan airport in Haikou the climate is totally different from that in Changzhou It was warm there and we could see coconut trees everywhere.After 3 days competition I went to BoAo where is famous for its forum. It was my first time to experience the sea and the beach in the sunshine. When sitting on the cruise I could clearly see the ocean waves pushing the windows of the cruise. It seemed that I was surrounded by the waves and the crystal water.

I felt as if a fish which had been living in the sea happily. Then we land on the beach. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was cosy to lie on the beach. I tried searching for the shells on the beach but failed. The beach was totally different from what I heard before as there was nothing except footsteps on the beach. In the afternoon I played football on beach and scored a goal with my new friends from all around China. It was really interesting and challenging.The next day I went to Haikou. I first visited the tomb of Hairui an officer in Qing dynasty who was famous for rectitude. I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon I went to the geological park of volcano. A lot of stones of different shapes came into views. When arriving the top of the park it seemed that the while city was under my view. Also I had seen plenty of interesting and rare types of the plants. I also got into a small hole in the park it is said that the hold was exactly the original hole where maqma came from. But the volcano had stopped from erupting for thousands of years.I can’t forget this trip not only does it give me a lot of joy knowledge and good memory but also it give me a chance to make friends with people from different fart in China. By enjoying the excellent scenery I think I have fallen in love with this beautiful city. I will cherish this experience.

on summer holiday my parents took me to beijing. we stayed at huabei hotel. on the first day, we went to the great wall. the great wall is very long and old. it has millions of bricks. each brick is very big and heavy. lots of people from different countries like climbing the great wall. we felt very tired when we climbed to the top of the great wall.

we also went to the palace museum. the palace museum has 9999 palaces. it has a very long history. i bought a lot of souvenirs of the palace museum. what nice palaces these are! i visited the palace museum and felt excited. if you want to know more about the palace museum, you can go to beijing and have a look.

the following days, we went to the summer palace, tian tan, north lake and xiang hill. i now know more about the history of china. i also like modern beijing. the 2008 olympic games will be held in beijing.

later, i went back with my parents by train. i really enjoyed the trip to beijing.
